    Apple sushi special

Phenomenal sushi and service! This is a family owned business with quality sushi and drinks. Been going here for years and always impressed. Roy, the sushi chef, is personable and professional and the servers (Ellen) and her daughters make dining a delight. There is nice indoor and outdoor seating with some throwback R&B music to relax to

Small place and thankfully early for dinner. We grabbed the last table to chow down after. Full day of kayaking. We were exhausted and the guide from our trip suggested Momo sushi. He was spot on. Incredible. Service was excellent. Food came out quickly. Owner was on hand, bringing out food, cleaning tables and apologizing when they were out of something. Very reasonable prices too. Loved it.

    Shrimp tempura roll

Stopped by for a quick takeout order and this place exceeded expectations. The service was fast, staff were kind, the seating and decor is very neat and cozy. My friends and I ordered shrimp tempura rolls and other fresh rolls. The sushi is well made, and authentic- so put together in a perfect ratio. The tempura was nicely done too- shrimp was tender and moist. I would love to come back for more. Thank you for a great experience!

Sushi was awesome! Would recommend to anyone in Boulder City. Try the zesty salmon and screaming lotus. The servers were kind.

Such a wonderful family run sushi restaurant! Everything was delicious and so fresh! We came for lunch and were treated like family! Definitely a must try in Boulder City! Thank you for everything Ellen, Steve, Leah, Laura, and Roy!

Very good sushi restaurant down the street from the Boulder Dam hotel. I went for lunch and started with the Baked Green Mussels....they were so good! Then got the Chicken Teriyaki lunch bento box that came with miso soup.l. really enjoyed the vegetable and shrimp tempura...as well as the spicy tuna roll. Will definitely be coming back to try more items.

If you're driving through a quaint western style town, you might miss this hidden sushi place in the old part of Boulder City, NV. On this cold day, I wanted to try their tonkatsu-pork ramen. It came to my table fast and steaming. The broth was heavenly. It needed lots of spice. I asked the friendly server and she brought out a small dish filled with spicy oily sauce. It reminds me of chili oil. I poured it all in and stirred it all up. Perfect! It was a surprisingly wonderful find in this small town.

We had sashimi, sashimi and more sashimi

We had sashimi, sashimi and more sashimi, accompanied by few rolls, palm tree, ultimate tuna, and few handrolls plus a coconut roll for "desert" ... Prompt and friendly service, organized and clean, the server was always attentive, and the food wS just delicious, properly presented with a good choice in drinks as well. We sat at the bar, as the place was full with patrons at every table, and proved that it's popularity is gained through quality and good service and affordable prices. A wonderful experience.

Thank goodness it was fresh. Once our order was taken, our server never came back to check on us. My daughter got sick after forcing herself to eat the udon (we arrived very hungry after work and school). I took one spoonful of the soup and couldn't eat it because the dashi was terrible. It tasted exactly like the packaged udon you'd find in the refrigerated section at Winco, and not the good flavored ones either. I don't often complain about my food but everything was bad. The rice was wet and mushy. I requested pan fried gyoza and they deep-fried them. The udon was horrible. I had to call over someone who I believe was the manager to complain about the poor quality of the food. He didn't even offer a response and just stood there, staring at the wet rice on the plate. He didn't apologize, didn't offer to comp anything. He continued standing there awkwardly until I told him he needs to comp something because it was all bad. He offered to comp my one bowl of udon so I paid $87 for some of the worst food I've had in quite a while. Bad food and even worse service. Zero stars if I could.

We sat at the bar, only one other couple there, and maybe 2 other customers in booths. The owner snapped at the person who sat us we weren't sure why and felt maybe we weren't supposed to be seated at the bar. We were greeted by a young server very nice, smiling, welcoming. I ordered a Orion beer, wife had a green tea. Wife ordered some plates. They came quickly. My wife was so excited to try this restaurant, so she ordered and I ate. Everything was incredible. The sashimi , sushi, all melted in your mouth. So many different flavors with each plate. Not over powering sauces which most places do to hide the low quality of fish. Not here each piece was a culinary deliciousness of flavor. The rolls are not typical all rice little filling. The rice enhanced the filling. No need to use soy sauce! The ginger they supply was so fresh we had 4 servings of it. The restaurant is a 50s style diner, but it doesn't matter what the place looked like with this incredible food. We've NEVER had sushi like this. It's expensive, but you are paying for Japan quality sushi. With all the sushi spots and AYCE places I see why it was so slow. I asked if it gets busy, and was given a few jokingly sarcastic answers from I think owner, which was ok cause I joked back and he got it. If you want the experience of going to a master sushi chef restaurant in Japan, go to Tokyo Boys. You'll pay for a great experience. We hope when we come back to Henderson to return!

The noodles were nicely cooked and the tempura also had a nice crunch Green tea fried ice cream 10/10! Def the best part of the meal. It was warm on the outside and cold on the inside. I love places that have this as an option. Overall the food was pricey and tasted okay for the price. I had some favorite ramen shops in Philly that I still think are stellar, but the one thing they were missing was this minced pork. I will add that **** to EVERY kind of ramen bowl! I must have been a cat in a past life because I am obsessed with bonito fish flakes and you can never put too many of those on top. The only thing I struggle with is the fact that I feel guilty eating octopus, so I don't order takoyaki as often as I used to. The service is friendly and the beer is cold. The ambience is relatively low lighting, cozy izakaya vibe, with modern touches in the decor. The icing on the cake is the face that they have melon cream soda. Ramen. Minced Pork. Beer. Melon soda. We ordered cocktails from a very limited menu. Our waiter wasn't sure how to make the lemon drop martini on the menu but said he'd try to follow the recipe. We asked for Grey Goose but watched him pour shelf vodka. Drinks were served after the appetizers arrived even though they were ordered first. We started with oysters. Waiter said they only had two kinds tonight so we ordered 6 of each. He set them down and left to get tobasco we requested. When he returned we asked which were which he said "we only had one kind so they're all the same." I feel he should have told us before serving them since they were $4 each! I ordered coippino which at $46 was expensive but I wanted a treat. Hubby ordered large clam chowder in bread bowl and Caesar salad. Cioppino lists first ingredient as crab. What I was served had no crab, 2 overcooked shrimp and rubbery calamari. The sauce was flavorful but so disappointing otherwise. I asked about the crab and was told "no crab" and I was offered additional scallops as compensation. He brought three small scallops on a plate. Hubby was served two small bread bowls of chowder with the explanation of "we are out of large bowls". Again, it should have been discussed prior to serving that there was a substitution. Who wants two big loaves of bread bowl??? The salad adequate-- a big bowl of romaine with croutons with a side of dressing. All in all not worth the over $150 it cost. Not in the least! And they charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card. We will not be back.
