Momo Sushi is my go-to spot for dinner when I'm in Boulder. In a small town like Boulder City, vegan options are a rare commodity indeed. However, vegans can usually DIY something at Japanese restaurants (think edamame, veggie tempura, tofu, etc.). Momo Sushi is nice enough that they accommodate my off the menu requests. I order tofu with steamed veggies topped with teriyaki sauce. If I'm extra hungry. I'll order a side of rice ($2). My DIY meal is actually under $10, so it's super affordable. There's also a veggie roll on the menu that I'm definitely ordering on my next visit. I've been to Momo's with my husband and friends, and everyone wholeheartedly gives their approval. We were a party of three Cute small restaurant, cozy Great service from our server We ordered a screaming o, ugly roll, Japanese lasagna roll, momo white peach soda and a kids chicken katsu meal Everything tasted fresh and yummy My 2 1/2 year old daughter insisted on feeding herself with the spoon for her first time yay She ate most of her chicken, it was that tasty!!! I've noticed not a lot of people review on YELP in Nevada. I don't know what that's all about but MoMo Sushi deserves a great review! My wife and my son wanted some sushi rolls for lunch, and so I looked for one nearby and came across MoMo Sushi in Boulder City! Perfect! We love Boulder City! Took a nice scenic drive about 11 minutes away. First thing I noticed was it's in a small little downtown Blvd area, kind of like what you would find in an old western? Does that paint a picture? When I walked in, the atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. The first to greet me was The Chef and everyone else followed. Dining in and takeout are both available. I went the takeout route (although I will be returning to dine in and have a beer or two soon!) I was able to look over the menu and placed my order. I got 3 rolls: Shrimp tempura, The "Ugly Roll" and a classic California roll. (Just in case my son got picky! LOL) I was able to sit at the bar and watch the chef prepare my rolls, while he was making them he engaged in a friendly conversation and was extremely like-able. Shout out to The Chef! Also, if there's a way someone can let him know the gear I was wearing is called "Art of Homage" check them out on iG ! So back to the review! The preparation was fairly quick, could've been the great conversation with everyone that made the time go by faster and/or The Chef is just that good! LOL probably both! We took the rolls home and opened them up. The presentation was just as beautiful as the watching the preparation. I almost didn't want to eat it! But we dug in and boy oh boy! It was absolutely delicious! The shrimp tempura roll was phenomenal, and the Ugly roll was crunchy and sweet with the eel sauce! The CALi Roll is always a good choice especially when it's made with fresh ingredients! The avocado is key. Everything was perfect. I will definitely be a return customer. Can't wait until next time. Not sure if the owner has changed but this has turned around 360 degrees. Food, service, atmosphere, were all amazing.... So happy. Good sushi. Not my favorite place in the world but the staff was friendly and quick. A bit expensive for me and the tempura shrimp and veggie appetizer was kind of bland. Sushi was spot on flavor wise but my wife wasn't impressed w the chicken teriyaki bowl. Bottom line, stick to just sushi when you come here. read more

On a Sunday afternoon the place was 1/2 full, service was terrific, my party 2 ordered the salmon bento box, the fish was light and fresh and delicious. The tempura was crispy perfection. Miso soup was just right amount as a starter. We also shared a tuna specialty roll which I forget the name but was excellent. Great spot? We will be back. read more

This location is in our small town. We had always gone "over the hill" to their other location. We were so excited when they came here. When they opened, they had very limited hours. And for some reason, didn't open on weekends when we had big festivals/fairs here. We were afraid they wouldn't make it. But they did! Great sushi, first off. But other things for non sushi eaters. My favorites: Screaming Orgasm (just ask for a screaming O) Momo Hamachi Slammin' Salmon (same amazing sauce as the Screaming O) Irish Roll Cucumber salad Garlic Edamame Great hours now. So normally I don't write reviews but I had to maybe the new owner will see this and fix things . We often visit this sushi place in Boulder City it's close to home and use to be a great place ,friendly service, great sushi, and fast . The past 3 times my family and I have visited the service is slower then slow , the sushi comes out not very cold the portion sizes have been cut down but the prices have not . Our last visit took forever to get our food and the 1st few things we ordered came to the table wrong , And. It very cold . I could go on forever about that one but I won't . I hope the new owner fixes things cause now I'm driving 40 minutes 2 times a week to I love sushi . read more

Great food however service is horrible only if you sit at a table though. We've eaten here several times and each time we gotten a table verse sitting at the bar, it's a disaster. You might as well serve yourself. Get your own menus, water, and napkins. If you need a refill, you either have to yell at the kid that's clearly not interested or get it yourself. We came when it wasn't busy a Tuesday night and there were two tables occupied, including ours and the lady at the other table hollered at the kid server to bring over plates and chop sticks. We had to ask for menus and water after being sat at the table (by the same kid server) after 5 mins. Not to mention, I had to get up to ask him for a refill on the water. Twice. My recommendation... don't go if you are planning on sitting at a table. You might as well just preorder for take out. The kid server did not deserve a tip at all. I've been at serval low end and high end restaurants... if I provided shit service like that, I'd expect nothing in return. Only the thing worth mentioning is the food and the sushi bar chefs. read more

Small and cosy the best seat in the house is at the sushi bar! This is not your normal sushi Sashimi place. Everything is fresh, different, experimental and delicious. My husband and I agreed that this was the best sushi of our lives. And he would follow that up with also saying "and I've had a shit load of sushi" Seriously - don't go to one of the many overpriced places in Vegas or one with all the deep fried cream cheese roll crap. Since the table service hasn't improved, I've gotta go with two stars. Hubby and I arrived around 1:00 PM on a Thursday and were seated immediately. Instead of reading the menu, Hubby asked if they offered a Vegetable Tempura and Shrimp Tempura. The waitress said they have both a dinner and an appetizer. We're so old now that we just can't eat much at any one sitting, so we ordered two Tempura appetizers which included two shrimp each, a large slice of eggplant, a sweet potato slice and an asparagus spear. I wish they'd served an onion rather than the eggplant. The inside of the eggplant was gray; it wasn't appealing -- and we do eat with our eyes first. I took a bite of the shrimp and didn't like it; I gave it to Hubby who ate it. (It had no flavor and, other than the tempura itself, no texture. It was mushy.) I later tried the other shrimp with the same result. I traded it for Hubby's sweet potato. The asparagus spear was scrawny and overcooked. I didn't care for the sauce; therefore, I wanted wasabi to mix with the soy sauce that was on the table. That never happened because no one ever came to check on us! Not once! The tempura was oily. I needed a second napkin and had to get up, go get it myself from a neighboring table because after a young man delivered our food, neither our waitress nor anyone else ever checked on us; not even once during the meal. Not once! No one asked us if we needed anything; no one visited our table for any reason, not once after the food was delivered. We finished eating and sat for a couple of minutes. No one came around with a check, so I went looking for our waitress in order to get the check. In summary: The food was disappointing. Specifically: the tempura was too oily; the eggplant was gross; the shrimp was flavorless and its texture was mush; and the asparagus spear was scrawny and overcooked. The service was worse because not once did anyone check on us! I had to go in search of both a second napkin and the check; and I went without wasabi. If you read my previous review, my issue then was the service. So, Lesson Learned. By me. Clearly, the wait staff ignore customer feedback about service. So this will be our last visit. Adios, Caio Caio and see ya never.
