Wow. I ordered a platter to go over the phone to be ready at 6:30 pm and it was ready right when I picked it up! Love their sushi, mostly the rolls. Their Nigiri and Sashimi is pretty good too, but from Sushi Twister, I prefer the rolls and baked rolls. Located on Boulder and Trop, this has been a long time favorite of mine. Was recently here with some friends who have been going to this place for more than a decade. It's a cozy restaurant with limited tables. We were a group of 8 and didn't wait too long to be seated on a Saturday evening. I really liked that our group had the option to do AYCE or a la carte. The AYCE menu was our placemat so I used a pen to mark which rolls I wanted which was handy. They have a good variety of sushi rolls and my husband really enjoyed the different spicy rolls. These were delicious: Matsuri, Cowgirl, Ninja, Mexican (ask to add habanero sauce for an extra kick), Teriyaki chicken roll and Screamin O w/ twist. Great, friendly service. We came here for a Sunday evening for dinner. We did the all you can eat. Just to note, it is a small restaurant, so there are not a lot of tables. Thankfully we did not have to wait. The appetizers were delicious. We had the potstickers, shrimp, tempura, and the chicken. As long as the roll is not a five piece roll you can split rolls. As a sushi lover, I was impressed by this place! Very flavorful and incredibly fresh. The japanese lasagna was just perfect, not too much cheese, and just enough rice. The rice in the nigiri was flavorful too. We ordered lots of nigiri, and I think the only one that I wasn't a big fan of was the smoked salmon. Wasn't bad, just not to my liking. I wasn't even here to eat--I just needed to use the bathroom. Instead of showing basic human decency, they forced me to buy an overpriced water bottle for access. Their excuse? "There are so many homeless in the area." That's not an explanation. That's an admission of a total lack of empathy. And for what? The bathroom was filthy: sticky floors, trash scattered on the ground, and a smell that could knock you over. If this is how they treat people before they're customers, imagine how little respect they have for the people who actually sit down to eat. Updating my review to include a review of the to-go Sushi platter! We ordered ahead for the Sports Platter and it was amazing!!!! Sushi tasted fresh and staff were really friendly. This is still my go-to for sushi in the Henderson/Las Vegas area. The platters typically also come with edamame as well. Price point is cheaper than AYCE. The platter fed 3 people(and some leftovers), for around $50, so cheaper than in dining AYCE. Platter prices vary, depending on size of the platter. read more

Ordering is quite simple just picked the rolls I wanted I ordered crunch roll, G spot, Philly, and I got some veggie tempura. I was very disappointed to see they had packed the hot food with the sushi rolls. They made all my sushi hot! Very unfortunate and probably not safe for food safety reasons!! I wish I didn't need to dock so many stars for reasons that aren't purely food quality but I want to be transparent to any future patrons about frustrating issues I've encountered as a repeat costumer of Sushi Twister. It has now been twice that this place takes my order over the phone for a lunch special combo, and when I get home and happily unwrap my bag... I've found that they've given me the wrong order twice. Today I ordered a BEEF lunch special, go pick it up, and I have chicken as protein... I truly don't know why double checking what the attendee who takes phone orders writes down with what the patron over the phone is so HARD of a safety net for ya'll, but if not already implemented , please start doing so. Always some great AYCE sushi here! Arrive early as they are always busy and the wait for a table is usually 20-40 minutes. I dislike that they have taken away the bar stools at the sushi bar, it was extra seating that helped move the customers through as they never have enough seats! The staff is nice and the food is fresh and comes out quickly. I am partial to nigiri so I always choose alot of that. This night I had salmon, yellowtail and super white. my experience with twister sushi was very unfortunate. when you go to an establishment and think "we are literally just another dollar to them" is exactly how i felt walking out of here. first red flag, we called and asked how much it was for a baby. they said "three years old" and we said ok we are on the way. they call back a minute later and say "no sorry two years old". this should've been a red flag bc realistically if the baby was 2 or 3 would they really know the difference and want to charge for a baby. the baby is two so it didn't really matter but already a money hungry sign like you really called back for a year difference and that you wouldn't even be able to tell? calling back a customer for that is just weird even when we answered we were like wtf never had a business call back for that. kinda just weird not really a huge red flag. second the ayce for lunch is 45 minutes. the dinner is 60 minutes. for AYCE. that is so wild to me. my back might be huge but thats not enough time without feeling rushed. like you really hate your customers and want them out of there. if i was eating alone that seems reasonable i guess??? (not really). but if im out with my family order food, have conversation, and enjoy the food? 60 mins is no where near enough time without feeling rushed. third our first round we ordered some sushi and appetizers. we were working on our first round and decided to call the waiter to order more. she looks at our table, mind you we ate most of our stuff already which is why we wanted to order more (only 60 minutes) she looks and is like "we're going to charge if you don't finish" im like girl you must think im skinny bc i'm definitely finishing this. mind you it was our FIRST round. 2 rolls, one nigiri, and a couple appetizers. she ends up placing the order. not the servers fault i'm pretty sure her manager or possible owner was there working telling her. we continue to eat. i start noticing this around 5'0 older asian lady start coming over a lot and looking over at our table and it just continues. she not helping the server shes just watching our plates trying to see if we are hiding sushi under our plates. after this i was very just uncomfortable. like we are literally being watched every move. mind you we are doing damage on our food finishing everything. there was one roll specifically that we didn't like so we were slowly working on it. they were eyeing that roll down so bad to make sure we finished it. mind you everything else we finished. we ask for our bill and she was like we're going to charge you. we're like ok we'll finish this one roll. we end up asking how much it would've been they said $4. we would've just taken that $4 L bc that's how bad that roll was. might just be me but just the money hungriness of this business is so boo boo. like my customer clearly didn't like this one roll so i'll charge them for it??? they ate everything else. it wasn't in a wasteful way where we left a bunch of leftovers it was three pieces off one roll. third, price is expensive for the quality food they offer. it really is unfortunate bc the food is not that bad. its very average sushi. which isn't bad but also not good. however for the same price you can go to waaaaay better quality places. i did notice as we ordered more the food quality wise just got worst and worst. not sure if they were doing that purposely just to get us out. stuff was coming out burnt and sauce just piled up. this place definitely is a place you see on uber eats sushi that has the bogo deals. that type quality sushi. a very unfortunate review for a place that the food isn't THAT bad but due to either management or ownership that i have to rate them very poorly. they are super money hungry and only see you as a dollar. read more

I live across town but went to this spot with my brother when he was visiting and staying at that RV lot next to Sam's Town. The place is unassuming and in a strip mall, but wow! Truly amazing and fresh sushi for a reasonable price. We got the Chef's Special (essentially an assortment of sushi and a roll), along with some nigiri basics (hamachi, maguro, sake, etc.). Went there yesterday for lunch. I ordered 3 appetizers for a total cost of just over $18. When they ran my debit card they charged the card $71. I immediately disputed it. The manager said he was sorry and he reimbursed me. What he failed to say that it will take a week to get the card refunded. Keep an eye on the person running the payments. My family and I have been going to Sushi Twister for over 13 years and we still love it! The food taste just as it was 13 years ago which I love! My daughter learned to eat raw tuna here and both of them learned how to use chopsticks here as well! We have had many memories in this lovely restuarant and I am happy they doing so well! Now let's talk about food! I love that they have a variety to choose from. If you're a big eater, you can choose their AYCE option. They also have a lunch and dinner menu for a la cart and they also have a kids menu! *Pro tip: you can order the dinner menu during the day and upgrade the sushi tp any other sushi in their menu! It does cost a bit more for the upgrade. We always get the beef teriyaki dinner plate (5/5!) and we upgrade the california roll to the G Spot. (Trust me it hit the spot!) Pro tip: you can adjust the beef to yoir choice of wellness. Well done was a bit overcooked for my taste so I always order medium. The teriyaki sauce is mildly sweet which pairs well with the beef. The salad (5/5) that comes with it is also one of my favorites! You cannot buy this at any store as they make it themselves! I used to order just the sauce to take home! The G Spot (5/5) sushi roll is one of our all time favorites! It's also the roll my daughter tried and began to love even though it has raw tuna which you can hardly notice as it melts in your mouth! The sauce they use is also the chef's secret sauce! Aside from the G Spot, we also ordered the Japanese lasagnia (5/5) which is a classic roll we order all the time. It is baked sushi with cream cheese on top. Who doesnt loved melted cream cheese?! Careful it's hot! Finally we have their miso soup! I have been to several japanese resturants and have tried other miso soups. Not gonna lie, but theirs, in my opinion, is one of the best ones? Why? It's not too saltly and not strong likely other miso soups. Some restaurants add too much miso paste which gives it a strong flavor. You be the judge and try it! Overall, we've been loyal customers not only because of their delicious food but also their awesome service! When you come in, you'll feel welcomed when they yell "irasshaimase!" (Welcome in japanese) and when they yell "arigato gozaimasu!" (Thank you!) When you leave. Staff is friendly and the ambiance is casual!
