The food was really good. I enjoyed most of it the only thing I didn't like was the cucumber salad and deep fried oyster. Maybe it's not for me. The main reason for my 3 stars was the extremely poor service it's so weird because they weren't too busy when we got there and when we ordered some things came out but we kept needing to ask for stuff we had already ordered. The worse part I heard the whispering in Spanish and let me tell you they were still loud. What upset me the most is the people sitting behind us were getting all the attention and great service. I don't understand why that is because we were there first and we were literally right next to each other. It was very upsetting. However if you don't care for service the food is really good and I think the price is about the same as other places. Unfortunately we won't be returning anytime soon as my husband was upset he didn't even want to order anything additional because they wouldn't come back. Never refilled our water. Came for dinner and got their AYCE sushi meal. At $35 for dinner, it seems like average price. You can get anything on the menu which was pretty solid and expansive. A few items are one per customer, like the sweet shrimp or the uni. Otherwise the world is your oyster. The rolls here are pretty big so you can also order half orders for some. They are heavy-handed on the dressing so maybe there's an option to limit the sauces but you have been warned. The fish seems pretty fresh. No major issues imo and it feels like you get a good value for the price. If you compare the a la carte vs AYCE, it seems like AYCE is the way to go but really depends on what you are ordering and how much you can eat. Service is solid and they are always coming around asking for another round of orders and refilling drinks. I think if you are looking for a no frills kind of place, it's a good option and worth a visit. read more

We just recently discovered sushi hero and we are obsessed with their menu. The restaurant itself is actually pretty small inside but we have never waited more than 20 min for a table. The service is always super fast and the servers are always really nice. My daughter likes coming because of the toy chest which is so cute. I've never seen a place do this before! Really like the food here but ea time you come at lunch, unfortunately they have one server and I actually feel sorry for her. They are never staffed and that's a management issue! Let's get into the food. this is an all you can eat sushi restaurant that has a great lunchtime menu for 2995 and an all day all you can eat menu at 3595. They do have a long list of rules everything from a 60 minute time limit no sharing and I don't particularly appreciate anyone trying to look at my plate to determine what they should charge for extras on leftovers, which is a bit ridiculous drinks are not included in 18% gratuity is added for a party of six or more. These are the rules you should be aware of before you even order . Now, if we get into the menu, they certainly have an extensive menu selection everything from the hero specials to the classic hand rolls, skewers along list of appetizers, grilled and baked goods, soup and salads deep-fried rolls and of course everything in between. I have come twice now for lunch and we have waited over 35 minutes just to get our food . There's never more than one person making sushi. One person in the kitchen and the experience has been less and less enjoyable. Today I waited with my mom sitting in the car more than 45 minutes for my order. I only had 4 items and this is not acceptable. you can look at the reviews overtime and you can see that Management is clearly at fault or it may even be the owners, but they are going to certainly lose business. If they don't do something about the Staffing you can't save money by providing poor quality service and long weights, especially during lunchtime when people only have 30 minutes or an hour to spare . Sushi should definitely not take this long to serve. Overall I would still recommend this restaurant, but definitely come with some time on your hands and if you have limited time, I definitely wouldn't recommend coming at lunch when they choose not Not To properly staff. read more

I love all you can eat Sushi and I love trying new spots with friends because you can share all the rolls. We arrived right at opening on a Sunday (11:30) and were promptly seated and our drink order was taken. When she arrived with the drinks the sushi onslaught began! First off we were greeted and sat right away, I believe she was the owner. Super pleasant, friendly and made sure we were really well taken care of! We start with drinks then ordered AYCE. One of my favorite sushi spots in vegas. The food is always fresh and clean tasting. I love the shrimp lovers roll and the playboy roll. Was in this parking lot running an errand and spotted Sushi Hero and remembered it had been recommended by a friend! Sushi was all tasty and fresh! During lunch time there was only one other gentleman in the restaurant eating so service was speedy and we were checked on frequently. Unlike other sushi restaurants they weren't playing music so loud that you can't think so that was a plus! Here's the scoop. I moved from Seattle to Reno and was ectatic they had AYCE Sushi. I have family in Henderson and visited this location. It's a couple bucks more expensive than Reno at $33 and frankly I was a little skeptical of the overwhelming "best sushi I ever ate" reviews as most the AYCE places the quality is good but a bit short compared to upscale non-AYCE places and selection is typically limited. WOW! The AYCE selection is INSANE here. Best I've ever experienced. The appetizer and nigiri selection is almost twice the selection as the places in Reno. A gazillion rolls, many with names that will make you laugh. Portion size on the nigiri was larger than I'm used to for AYCE but Gunkan size was small as you can see from my photos of the Salmon Eggs and Uni (Sea Urchin) but it is quite remarkable you can even get Uni from AYCE! It is limited to one order though as is a few other items. But 90% of everything on the menu is AYCE including I think the specials on the special board in most cases. Service was a little slow which make you nervous when they set a 1-hour time limit but I easily made it through 3 waves within an hour and was comfortably full of great quality sushi that would have cost me about 3X or $90 in Seattle. We had a party of 6 and on a Satuday evening were concerned there would be a wait to seat us. Google's online reservation function errored out on me so I called and they said we probably didn't need a reservation but took one anyway. When we got there at 6:30P there were only two couples on the waiting lists and they already had a table for 6 setup and reserved for us. Absolutely love this place. Nothing bad to say about it other than be patient or proactive as far as politely signaling to the server you are ready to order more. read more

I tried three different rolls and my mom and partner also had some rolls. Do yourself a favor and dont try the teriyaki chicken roll. I wish I took a picture. Sadly disappointed in it. I ordered the Hot and Juicy roll, with salmon and avocado roll. The Hot and Juicy roll tasted a bit fishy for my liking but the presentation was great. My favorite though... The salmon and avocado... My friend and I did the all you can eat sushi. I was skeptical at first because I don't ever do well with "all you can eat". But for what we spent, what we ordered ... it was worth it. Why? Even the specials were part of the all you can eat. Some places only limit you to a portion of the menu, but here everything was available. Pro tip: we arrived after the dinner rush (8:30pm on a Saturday) and we walked right in. And when we ordered, everything came out so timely and together. Everyone was so friendly and it was always service with a smily. Everything our server recommended was amazing. Second pro tip and wish that more sushi places did this ... OFFER HALF ROLLS! I liked this place so much last week that I'm back again! This time I brought my parents! As stated before, they have a grand opening special of half off rolls. We ordered 7 different rolls between us three and still asked for a to go box for our leftovers. I ordered the same as previously: sunset special roll, tiger roll, and salmon and avocado roll, and also tried a few new rolls: spider roll, rainbow roll, Vegas roll, and dancing eel roll. Every roll was delicious. But what we loved about this place that I didn't realize last time was that they don't pack each roll with rice!!! THE RICE PORTIONS ARE PERFECT. You know you've found a good sushi sport when the fish to rice ratio is just right! Anyways, customer service was great and every plate is served to you with kindness and enthusiasm especially when they tell you the name of the roll. I noticed there was only 1 server on a Saturday afternoon and one of the sushi chefs was helping the server. I felt bad he was running between customers and the phone, but every single person on the staff was working hard! I loved seeing the team work! Great job guys! My review still stands firm and as soon as they get rid of the grand opening special, I'll come back to try the all you can eat menu. My family and I went here yesterday and I'm still raving over the love we all have for this restaurant! Right after we were seated we put in a beverage order and a second server came to take our AYCE order. I have to say the options to pick from are endless! No other Sushi restaurant brought out our food as quick as Hero did, I was mesmerized! The food was delicious and you can choose whole or even half orders. The seafood to rice combination was great. The servers were happy to help in any way as well. They even give you punch cards, when you complete your 10th AYCE meal, the 11th one is free!
