The brisket is trimmed, very tender, with a nice smoke ring. The BBQ sauce is of the tomato based variety with a definite honey flavor. A pretty good sweet and tangy sauce. The dirty rice is pretty standard fare that is available everywhere and doesn't stand out as being special. The cole slaw was average, with large cut cabbage and carrots, drenched in sauce. I'm a bread pudding connoisseur of sorts and I think theirs was good, it could be a little firmer, but I attribute it's softness to the type of bread used when preparing. I guess we should start with the headliners, which are the stuffed burgers! These hearty creations have a variety of fillings stuffed into the center of the hamburger meat itself, making them a huge moist juicy and delicious handful! The variety of fillings includes mushrooms and Swiss; boudin; BBQ brisket; and even macaroni and cheese. These are a great choice, but one can also get a plain old fashioned hamburger or cheeseburger with toppings outside of the patty if one wishes. There are a choice of breads for these, so if you want it on Texas Toast or a Jalapeno Bun, it's all good! Then you need a side. There are of course fries and onion rings, but also tater tots and sweet potato fries. If you have any room left they have a pretty nice selection of ice cream and frozen treats. This location is just north of I-10, so it's convenient to stop into for a quick lunch. If one is so inclined, you could get an order to go, and enjoy a picnic at the nearby Maplewood Park.

Shortly after they brought my bill, quickly opening the window and shutting with little interaction. I wanted to ask for utensils, which I could see, but again she opened window, quickly handed it to me and shut window. Figuring I could get them from my hotel I went on my way. So the box was packed with chips, it had ground meat, beans, cheese, jalepenos, sour cream and salsa. The chips were kind of thick so they help up well. The salsa had great flavor. The rest was ok, there was no chicken as I had ordered but the ticket indicated it was made per the instructions. I felt the cheese was really light for nachos. Otherwise it was ok. Service wasn't great with wrong order and lack of communication at window. Something else probably would have been better.

All of the food was great. Crab cakes were wonderful and a healthy size, filet medallions were delish and we loved the side sauces that were served with the dish. Salad fresh, shrimp scampi was some of the best I have experienced and the bread pudding was top 2 in my experience. The "Dad/owner" came by and chatted with us before we left and it was a wonderful experience. Only reason I gave a 4 star is because they were out of a few side items. Highly recommend and will be back!
