We have wintered in Pahrump for many years have always enjoyed moms diner but today it was terrible service sub par the place was almost empty eggs were like warm like they had been sitting a while only hot thing on my plate was the hamburger patty . We ordered both hashbrowns extra crispy even those didn't come out the same. probably won't go back. The only positive note the guy bussing tables refilled the waters. read more

Came here for some breakfast in the middle of no where about an hour away from Vegas by accident since my wife didn't know how to read a map on yelp heading to Vegas! Great lil spot! We had there pancakes to start and they were pretty good. I had the corn beef, eggs with their potatoes. My wife had an omelette that she didn't remember what it was so not the greatest but both her and my son couldn't stop bragging about their chicken sandwich! I love Popeyes chicken sandwich and they kept saying it was better. The servers were welcoming and friendly! All in all we would definitely visit Pahrump in the future just to stop by Mom's Diner. The Dice Man visits Pahrump! We were taking a day trip out there because I used to live there and wanted to see how much has changed and such, it was also Breakfast of Don's choice so he decided we would eat at Mom's. Loved the booths (The table moves, always good for a fat guy) Private bathroom is also pretty awesome. Enough about that. The die instructed me to get a drink of Don's choice and he got me a coke, I had to get him a drink of my choice and I choose coffee. The rest of the menu was up to us! I ordered hash brows, fruit and grits. Don (my ex) got Chicken fried steak, eggs and he loved it, he said the crust was extra special. Those hash browns were YUMMY, Melt in Your mouth and tasted like Potatoes, some places lose the flavor but not Mom's! The menu is small for breakfast but the food is so good and the portions are amazing and as you can see, a Vegan or someone mostly plant based can find options. It was decorated with old timer stuff (old dresses, signs, license plates and more) and I loved that downhome feeling to it. We were both worried going in, Pahrump can be rather conservative...but no one said a thing. Doing a 4 because the waitress was friendly and started out great but she never came back to check in on us, we asked for extra napkins and we never got them and at the end she didn't say come back again, or thanks for coming or anything at all, she just handed us the bill and that was it... In the past when we've eaten breakfast here it was amazing, and our server is always so sweet. However, today I decided to get the French dip and asked for cheese, when I got it the cheese was cold and hard and the fries were so stiff my 1 year old couldn't even have any. When we mentioned the issue to the man at the front he kindly gave us our meal for free but the elderly woman server gave me dirty looks saying "that's why she's taking it home" yes I'm taking the other half of my sandwich home so I can do what y'all should have done and melt the cheese so I can enjoy it the attitude from the elderly female server is my only complaint I ever have about moms diner before today. This place came highly recommended and I wasn't disappointed. I opted for the chicken fried chicken since I'd never heard that term before. It came out like a chicken fried steak but it was a thin filet of a chicken breast that was perfectly moist and tender. It came with real mashed potatoes and green beans that were prepared perfectly. Love the atmosphere at Mom's Diner and the food. Went there after a short visit to Pahrump and wanted to go to someplace different. Small place in a strip mall (consignment shop next to it - good stuff). The place was very busy since it was after the Pahrump Parade. Food was good and came out fast. Bus boy was working his butt off, clearing off tables and assisting all tables. Waitress was pretty good, I believe she only brought us our food but it seems like it was a community effort on their part keeping up. We didn't mind the different people waiting on us. I've been coming to Mom's Diner since my friend moved to Pahrump where we come to pick him up and take him with us to Vegas. I have to say can't get better than homemade potato salad. It was literally some of the best potato salad I've had. I also ordered their buffalo chicken tenders and fries which were the bomb. The owners were very friendly and make you feel at home. Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday while I was in Pahrump and I was pleasantly surprised! You can tell that it's a local favorite as there were people lined up outside and the parking lot was packed. Despite the crowd, we were able to be seated in about 5-10 minutes. I had Texas eggs Benedict and I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture! But it was very good. The hash browns were especially delicious and buttery and crispy. I got the healthy chicken platter with fruit and cottage cheese and I've had better, by far. Chicken was overcooked and bland. The cottage cheese tastes a little sour and presentation was bad. Instead of a bowl it was on lettuce and the fruit was about the only thing that was edible on my plate. We also got a cheeseburger and they have awards for being the best of Boulder City for their burgers but it was worse than McDonald's. Bland and again eating cardboard. No offense to Mom's....but I can't say I was all that thrilled with the establishment. The place is dated and really needs to be redecorated. My wife and I decided to visit Mom's café....as we walked in I could feel the chill...we sat ourselves, ordered, ate...food was mediocre. The service was just good enough that I didn't have to get upset... Came here for a sale and the guy recommended we try this diner. It seemed a little busy when we got there but the wait was not long at all. Our server was awesome and our order didn't take long. The inside is your typical old school diner.. We got the texas benadicts which is biscuits gravy poached eggs and sausage. We also got the meatloaf which was also very very delish.
