The owner/operator aka Mom is a very friendly, hospitable lady who's a fantastic resource for local facts (things to do in the area, places to visit). This little gem is recovering from the 2022 hurricane that decimated area business-including hers. Her heart & soul goes into this little gem, and you can definitely taste in the food, as well as feel it in the service she and the small staff provide. From the absolutely delicious fresh brewed coffee, to making my simple eggs whites with tomato on a croissant taste like something I imagine chef Jacques Pepin would whip up, to the serve yourself refrigerator serving as storage for cool drinks and a variety of coffee creamers, this is a must go to when visiting Fort Myers Beach. There is also a small treasure chest that Mom encourages visiting kids to go through (see photos), and a corn hole set up for kids and adults alike. Highly recommend! Let's cut to the chase. Heather (Mom) and her crew do amazing work out of the tiniest of food trailers. And they do it with genuine care for their customers. I knew it was going to be good, based on recommendations and the long line formed by the trailer. The wait allowed us to soak up some sun and to listen to the friendly banter "Mom" was having with her guests. Despite her interactions, "Mom" keeps the line moving. Not knowing portion size, my dining partner and I ordered Mom's Daily Special, home fries and a second breakfast sandwich. We took food home! The biscuit sandwiches were huge and heavenly. I would give five stars for resilience and determination. The positive attitude of the parking people, the lady asking names, all of it. My wife and I were here on vacation and our taxi driver told us about Mom's. So on Sunday we walked to Mom's from the Lani Kai Resort. It took us just short of 15 min. to get there. And yes there was still a line waiting to order. We ordered 2 Mom's Daily Special with orange juice. Luckily there was a table with an umbrella for us to use as it was a typical February weekend, warm and sunny. The biscuit sandwich was ok, but the biscuit was too flaky to stay together well. But it tasted good. The thick cut bacon was a treat, and plenty of egg too. We had orange juice instead of coffee as part of our package. We felt there was too much ice with our juice and we scooped out much of the ice to keep it from diluting the juice. We ended up taking the cinnamon bun back to the hotel with us. So yes the serving size of the food was very generous. The staff were incredibly friendly, fast and pleasant. Service was quick and packed "to go" as we wanted to take our leftovers back with us. It was a good food truck experience all in all. Addition: the Cinnamon Buns were absolutely delicious!! So much cinnamon and sugar in the swirls!! Due to the hurricanes this past summer, several restaurants were destroyed and are now operating out of food trucks or enclosed trailers. WOW! My friend and I stopped here on our way off the island after staying in a hotel along the beach. The exterior is so inviting and we were immediately greeted by the man working the window. Conveniently located next to our resort, hubby and I walked over to view some other places affected by Hurricane Ian. I had tucked a credit card in my pocket and luckily it was acceptable for our breakfast. We ordered half portion of the biscuit with gravy (excellent), and an egg, bacon and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll. We ate underneath an umbrella at a table overlooking the coquina parking area. What a find this food truck parked on the original location was! Excellent food, service and view - all helping the local community build back after devastating flooding. I came to Fort Myers Beach from out of town and said, "I'm not eating another overpriced hotel breakfast wrapped in sadness." So I took to Yelp, spotted this little food truck called Mom's, and THANK GOD I did. Before I even got to the window, I was hit with the smell of cinnamon rolls like a warm, sugar-coated slap to the face. And baby, it smelled divine. Like, if angels had a signature scent, this would be it. I walked up and was greeted by the sweetest woman, with two guys in the truck backing her up and also bringing major good vibes. You could tell these people actually like feeding you, which is rare in this economy. Let's talk food. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, thick-cut bacon (none of that paper-thin sadness), and a tropical island juice that tasted like it was hand-squeezed by a sun-kissed beach god. The biscuits? Fluffy and fresh. The gravy? Peppery perfection. The bacon? Thick, crispy, and cooked like someone knew what they were doing. The potatoes were soft, with onions and peppers tucked inside a cute little foil pouch. I do prefer mine crispy and it might be an option, so I'll ask next time--but they still slapped. And the juice? Straight-up tropical sunshine in a cup. Moral of the story? If you're in FMB and you don't stop at Mom's, I'm judging you a little. I've been wanting to try Mom's since before hurricane Ian and just never had the opportunity to make it out. When the hurricane blew through and flattened Mom's and the surrounding area, I was devastated! I was so happy to hear that Mom's was up and running at their same location, even though it may look a little different now and is in a food truck! They have quite a few options to pick from on their menu, but we opted in for the classic combo which comes with a biscuit sandwich, cinnamon roll and a drink for $15. It was mouth watering good! Seriously! The owner was so friendly and gave us a rundown and history of Mom's with it being our first time. I absolutely loved our experience and will be back if we are ever in the area! I might just have to make the drive for a breakfast treat again soon!! The ambiance might have changed, but the people and the food have not. This is still an amazing place to come eat. I would say that the bacon egg and cheese biscuit would be a 7/10 as it had about one piece of bacon cut into thirds on it. The sausage egg and cheese was much thicker and I'd give it a 9/10. Then I remembered that 'Mom' was really getting on her helpers for turning up the temp of something up higher without her approval when she was getting my original cinnamon roll. I am assuming that was the warmer that held the cinnamon rolls based on the inconsistency. I just wish she hadn't sold me the one that was dried out because I think she had to have noticed. I was going to go back and tell her and try another, we were leaving on a Monday and didn't realize that it was closed. Since I didn't get to try again and she sold me the dried roll, I'd rate it a 3.5 if I could. Service was very good, line went quick. Nice and clean table and chairs to sit at too.
