Mom's Kitchen seemed to be one of the local's favorite breakfast diners in the area. If you aren't bothered by high foot traffic, packed dining area, loud noise, but decent food, this is the spot for you. First thought that came to my mind upon entering the restaurant was organized chaos. It was busy and chaotic but everyone there seemed to know exactly what needed to be done to tend to each and every customer. We were seated after a few minutes of wait time. The black coffee was okay. The food was okay, little too greasy for our tastes, but it was served while hot. Our server Michelle was very patient with her coworkers and customers which enhanced our dining experience. Food 3/5. Ambiance 3/5. Service by Michelle 4/5. The reason why I am giving this place 2/5 stars is because I want others to be aware of how rude service by an employee named Amanda can affect the restaurant's image. Server named Amanda who works there was very rude in how she carried herself, yelling at her coworkers with attitude, not an ounce of positivity, and shaking her head at customers while passing by tight space with food in her hands. She is one reason we won't be returning here, and we definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. We believe hospitality is one of the reasons why people visit mom and pop restaurants and become regulars there over other major chain restaurants. It was embarrassing for me to have taken someone here who was visiting from out of the country because of decent reviews, only to have her experience Amanda's rudeness and unprofessionalism. *Please learn to respect your customers and restrain your dislike for people when you are clocked in Amanda. We won't be returning so you won't have to worry about us, but for the sake of future customers. Being nice won't hurt.

    10-14-25. Sweet cream pancakes. Fantastic!

10-10-25. What a fantastic spot. I was staying at a friend's house for a few days and one of his neighbors recommended this spot. Went there with 4 others and they all ordered a variation of steak and eggs while I ordered the pork chops and eggs. All the breakfasts come with home fries or grits and your choice of bread. On our waitress Amanda's recommendation, we also ordered a stack of pancakes which she said was one of their "signature" items, which were a little different than your average pancakes because they were made with a sweet cream batter. She wasn't lying ....... they were awesome. They have some good looking lunch and dinner selections as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It's not a big place and it seemed like it's always crowded (which is an awesome sign you're getting good food with fast turnover). The wait was very reasonable.....only 15 minutes on a Saturday morning. They have quite a selection of baked items, so we felt the need to also order a few pieces of assorted pies to go. The food was really good, the prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent......all in a comfortable, friendly setting which made for a very pleasant dining experience. I'll definitely be returning.

Enjoyed shrimp scampi at Mom's Kitchen for dinner in Lake Worth Beach. Not ever a disappointment whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Come to Mom's Kitchen every few weeks and today's special was snapper Franchese which I jumped at the minute the waitress spoke those words. Turned out the portion is huge and well made. Never had a bad meal here. And their breakfast is huge too.

If you are looking for that home cooked, all vintage style restaurant, this is the place! Open since 1962, they are mom's style cooking with so many great options on the menu. Also, be sure to check out all the daily specials and the group of dessert on the chalkboard. We decided to go with breakfast for lunch and had the Italian omelet with well-done hashbrowns and an English muffin. My friend had the Challah French toast with bacon and 2 eggs. There was plenty of good home cooked food, and we shared. The omelet was perfectly made (could have been a little larger), but delicious Hadhbrown cooked the way I liked it. The French toast was plentiful, and the bacon was crispy. Jo-jo, our server, was beyond sweet, and she made sure that my ice tea was full at all times. Small little place. we had no wait today, but I heard you could wait 30 min or more some mornings.

Ask the Community - Mom's Kitchen

    Do you do take outs?

YES - LOVE this place & we are now only doing Curb side pick up. We call (they prefer) in advance , place our order, tell them time, give our credit card # for payment/ generous tip. Then when we arrive we let tell them. They place order in car.

    Where is the menu?

They gave us a paper menu when we got there. But you can order a la carte.

Fast Forward a few months later and I was greeted with a welcome and a smile by a lovely woman who guided us to our table. The location had opened as a steak house that opened 2 months before covid and closed shortly thereafter. It has been a few short-lived Mexican joints before the current owners spruced it up and created a WONDERFUL SPOT with GREAT ambiance and GREAT food. When we arrived we had told our server that we were there for a laid back evening and service was spot on. Without exception, all of our food was generously portioned, delivered promptly, attractively presented with spot on flavors and textures! I had the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese (YUMMY). Others had The Ravioli, Mussels, Meatballs, Wild Shroom Pappardelle, Paccheri Vodka, and a perfectly prepared Veal Chop (a non-menu special). At the end of our evening there were no leftovers and everyone was talking about how great their food had been. I will be back. There are too many other menu options I want to check out!

They were pretty busy around 7PM on a Thursday but we were sat almost immediately and I started browsing their wide selection of choices in their menu. My boyfriend got the chicken Marsala and added mozzarella so it was a yummy smothered chicken and got some penne in his pastability. He got such a good deal considering he paid $25ish for a protein, pasta side, a salad and bread! You can't find deals like that now a days. The staff was very friendly and kept refilling our drinks consistently. The inside wasn't too loud and the booths are comfy to sit in. Tale of two meals: I…read morehad avoided this place, for a long time. My first meal, a couple of years back, was one-star AWFUL. Places change. Maybe it was better? I came in, on one slow weeknight, I think a Tuesday,, nearer to closing. Bartender, a petite woman, was EXCELLENT. Pasta was al dente. I was excited to find a better Italian restaurant. I brought my daughter back, to try it, on a Saturday. The place is packed with people who look like they were taking the night off from their retirement communities. Smelled a lot like methane in the room, but that's an unfortunate side effect of the Lake Worth sewers in the downtown area, that afflicts restaurants from time to time. (No, it wasn't decomposing older folks.) The food was AWFUL. Food took 40 minutes, from order to table. Pasta overcooked. Sauces, including the marinara that I had asked to have with my ravioli? Poorly made. One was cold enough to switch out, but I couldn't get the bartender's attention, and my daughter dealt with it. Bartender? Treats his regulars well. The rest of us? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Worst service that I've had, sitting at the bar, in years. On my way out? I saw a big gent eating from a seafood pasta that literally was being served on a turkey platter. That was enough excess to almost make me hurl. Sealed the deal. Lesson learned. Won't be back again for a long while.
