Located at the opposite end of Dixie Donuts, this was a convenient lunch stop. A small diner open until 3pm, with some counter seating and a larger dining room. They have a handwritten daily special menu as well as two white boards in the dining room. I chose the Meatloaf lunch which came with two sides, mashed potatoes and zucchini. My meal was good and filling. The service was friendly and fast.

Small town vibe good southern breakfast. The service is awesome. Smiles and happy people. I had the skillet with extra side of gravy.

Southend Kitchen Review - A Solid Local Breakfast Spot Worth Visiting Stopped in at Southend Kitchen for a late breakfast, and I have to say--it's a great little Mom-and-Pop-style spot that serves up classic breakfast and lunch fare with heart. They're open daily from 7 AM to 2 PM, so it's definitely a morning or early afternoon destination. The staff was warm and welcoming--the kind of service you hope for in a hometown diner. The overall layout and atmosphere feel like a familiar family-run spot, nothing flashy, just cozy and comfortable. I had the eggs, bacon, and French toast combo. The eggs and bacon were standard and just right, but the French toast stole the show--seriously over-the-top good. I'm guessing they cooked it in a butter base because the edges had that perfect crispness without being greasy or soggy. It was rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best I've had in a while. Coffee was a bit on the darker, over-roasted side for my personal taste, but still drinkable. The grits were creamy--not clumpy or dry--and the toast came out just right. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, even if the presentation was pretty standard. Pricing is moderate and fair for what you get. Overall, I'd give Southend Kitchen a solid 8.5 out of 10. If you're in the area and looking for a satisfying breakfast or lunch in a laid-back setting with great service, this is a spot worth checking out--especially for that French toast!

The Working Man $9.99! This place has great value.

This is a really nice neighborhood diner. The food is always good, consistent, and really well priced. Most places would be $3 - $5 more for the same thing. The service is good too. Most of the staff has been there for awhile too. If you're in the SoSo area stop in. Enjoy!

SouthEnd Kitchen is a no-frills diner that serves your standard breakfast and lunch fare like ham and cheese omelettes and BLTs, without any pomp or circumstance. And gosh, do I love it. I've been frequenting SouthEnd for the last couple of years. They are a place I like going for breakfast when I have the time. They are dependable. They are affordable. And, most importantly, their dishes such as their ham and cheese omelette with hash browns hits the spot. Located in a small plaza, northbound on Dixie Highway, a couple of blocks north of Forrest Hill Boulevard, past the Chevron gas station and Innova boutique, SouthEnd offers consistent dishes with prompt service. Parking in the plaza to reach SouthEnd is normally available With a bar counter as you enter with stool seating, as well as four booths at least and 10 to 12 tables, the diner has a steady flow of locals from the area who patronize for their favorite dishes -- like me and the omelette. The decor is simple with white walls, holding up framed pictures that blend with the decor instead of pop, but that's part of the charm. I come to SouthEnd because it's easy and dependable. You can always find a couple of seats, service is always punctual, and I never leave hungry.

An amazing turkey club and a mountain of fries.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is really friendly. The food comes out hot, fresh and delicious. It's a great little restaurant that happens to be both family friendly and nice and quiet. If you order fries you get a more than generous portion of French fries. And for West Palm Beach the prices are definitely very reasonable.

We went here for brunch. We all had the skillets and while not what I would consider a traditional skillet was really very tasty. They put the cubes potatoes on bottom and then the omelet on top of that and then a sausage gravy. So it wasn't all cooked together. Nice portions and the staff was very friendly.

It's nice to find a lunch place that has reasonable prices good food and friendly service. Everyone here speaks English so there are no issues. I had a patty melt which was excellent and it came with fries also very good iced tea. The only complaint was my friends lemon chicken soup, it was rather bland and the saltine crackers were stale. Good selection of lunch specials at very reasonable prices

Closed for holiday but didn't mark closed on Yelp- which is easy for them to do and would've saved me a trip.

When I checked Howley's on yelp I was surprised that there were so many negative reviews. Howley's is managed by the Sub-Culture Group, and we dine regularly at Kapow in East Boca and Dada in Delray Beach, also managed by Sub-Culture. And while this is an entirely different type of food, I still wanted to take a chance and check them out. And we did and were pleased and more than satisfied. First, the decor is truly funky. I'm not sure if everything is from the 50's when they first opened, but it sure looked like it was. The restaurant was spotless, and the toilet was as well. The AC was strong which was appreciated. Artwork on the walls was not our style but must have been from a local artist. Ceiling fixtures were similar to what my parent's had in the late 60's. Jessica was our server and she was professional and positive in her attitude. Could not have asked for anything more. Decided to order a turkey club on rye bread ($15) with fries which were included and share it. Some of the reviews addressed how large their portions were and photos confirmed it. Jessica brought out the sandwich which was split in the kitchen with an ample amount of fries on each plate. The fries were delicious. Obviously freshly made and not sitting around, they were crisp without being overcooked. The turkey was described as fresh roasted sliced turkey and it sure was. Bacon was plentiful and crispy along with fresh lettuce and tomato. Mayo served on the side as requested. The sandwich was so large that I was only able to eat a half of my half, taking the rest home for the following day. Ordered a corn muffin and chocolate chip muffin to take home and each was fresh and delicious. ($5-$6) Howley's certainly warrants a visit if you are in the area and not seeking a trendy looking place which exists all over West Palm where the food may not be as good but the vibe is what is being sold with mediocre food. There was an on-site manager who visited our table to make sure all was good. I neglected to ask her name and apologize - she was welcoming and clearly on top of her managerial duties. Would I return? Sure would. And endorse fellow helpers to check them out.

I also tried a cup of their chicken noodle soup, which I enjoyed. The steak was cooked perfectly and came with crispy onions on top. Buccan absolutely lived up to the hype. While in Palm Beach…read morefor a work meeting, my wife and I made it a point to dine at Buccan after seeing it consistently recommended on Yelp and by locals. After one meal here, it was easy to understand why it's considered one of the most sought-after restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is energetic and vibrant without feeling overly loud, and the service was polished, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the evening. The menu encourages sharing, which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We started with the lobster aquachile, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The lobster was tender, and the bright citrus flavors paired perfectly with the avocado and vegetables. It was a refreshing and memorable way to begin the meal. Next came the beef empanada and pork taco. The empanada was rich and flavorful with perfectly cooked beef and a crisp exterior, while the pork taco packed an impressive amount of flavor into a single bite. Both were excellent examples of why Buccan has developed such a strong reputation for its small plates. One of the highlights of the evening was the squid ink orecchiette. The pasta was perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, savory sauce that brought everything together. It was one of those dishes that makes you immediately start planning your next visit. For a larger plate, I ordered the prime beef burger, which was outstanding. The beef was juicy and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the fries were perfectly crisp. It may seem unusual to order a burger at one of Palm Beach's most acclaimed restaurants, but this one absolutely deserves the attention it receives. What impressed me most about Buccan was the consistency across every dish. Nothing felt like an afterthought. From the creative seafood dishes to the comfort-food favorites, every plate was executed with care and attention to detail. Palm Beach has no shortage of excellent dining options, but Buccan stands out as a restaurant that successfully combines creativity, quality ingredients, and flawless execution. If you're visiting the area, this is a reservation worth making well in advance. Recommended: Lobster Aquachile, Beef Empanada, Pork Taco, Squid Ink Orecchiette, Prime Beef Burger, and don't skip the fries. One of the best meals we had during our trip.

I talk about the "curb-to-table" experience frequently. In my former role as a Delta Air Line Captain, I recognized the curb-to-plane challenges our customers encountered. Chef Conley has created a friendly and welcoming experience from curb-to-table. It starts with the complimentary valet. Finally. Finally. I learned about our regular valet: MANNY! Manny, thank you for the kindness and safe service you have given us. You are usually the first person who takes care of the Buccan Family. You create the smile before we walk in the doors of Buccan or Imoto. Thank you. Solang' (my spelling is probably wrong and I apologize): You are such a beautiful soul. Thank you for your kind words to Laura as we left. Kindness makes a difference. While kindness is free, sincerity is priceless. Wow, I haven't even chatted about the food. We tried something new this time. After our small plates, we tried the pork chop. The mild onion and sweet rhubarb---simply stunning. Even shared, we boxed some for home. I don't care if you are watching what you eat. Close your eyes! The chocolate cookies (warmed) are a must. Period. Selfishly, I hope Chef Clay never gets a tv show. A book deal is allowed. We want this local treasure and his team to remain anchored here. Clay and his team are own foodie treasure in our back yard. But wait, there's more: Honored to watch Chef Clay modestly expand the Miami environs. He will be opening his Buccan-Imoto-Buccan Sandwich Shop experience in Coral Gables sometime in June/July. OMG, we cannot wait for this to open. Though retired from the airlines (I miss my MIA overnights), we will make the trip to celebrate these new venues. However, we will do it very quietly. We do not wish to be labeled as stalkers. Probably one of my longest reviews. I love seeing hard working people succeed. What this team does for the community is simply breathtaking. This is a true success story. Thank you Buccan-Imoto-Grato-Sandwich Shop-Stokes Barn Team!!!!
