The cilantro lemon hummus is what dreams are made of. We stopped by this booth at a farmers market. The man giving out samples was very kind and informative. He was very welcoming. You can select 3 dips for $20. We chose cilantro lemon hummus, spinach and artichoke hummus, and garbanzo salad. We also got a bag of pita chips, but regret not getting 2 bags. Everything was so flavorful. I enjoy the hummus with the pita chips, with vegetables, and also on toast with an egg. You really can't beat the flavors of these dips. Stumbled upon them at the Claremont farmers market. They have these amazing crunchy pita chips that are so addictive on top of that. They have a wide variety of hummus and dips. The staff is super friendly and will let you try their wares, giving you a generous sample to really decide if you like the item. I think we went with the three for 20 deal two bags of pita chips one garlic, the other lemon as well as a dip. It was gone within days. Will definitely be back for more. read more

Been buying from Mom Specialty for years. Great Hummus, great spreads, and great garlic Pita chips. Have not stopped by the Cerritos Farmers Market in a while. Went yesterday and purchased garlic and chives, and Avocado and Jalapeño hummus, along with some garlic pita chips. Everything tasted great, once I returned home. The big issue I have is that the containers of hummus were 2/3 full! The package says 8oz but there was about 6oz in each one. If you plan on charging $14 for three times, at least put 8oz of hummus in the container. The size of the bag for pita chips have gone down significantly over years. Was able to pick some up today at the Farmers market nearby after hiking crystal cove trails. Came home and realized their address is located down the street from my house. Prepared some pita in the air fryer only to find out from my sister that we purchased from here not too long ago at another farmers market at mile square park!! We love visiting farmers markets but often, nothing catches our attention to the point of purchase. That's how I know this is a winner (and consistent!) You can't go wrong with any of these dips. I received awesome service, I sampled pretty much everything they had available and kept falling in love with all the flavors. I am a huge Mediterranean food fan, especially garlic spread and hummus. I was blown away by the awesome flavors that were created by M.S.F. Some of my faves (actually the ones I ended up purchasing) were the Garlic spread, Jalapeno and Cilantro hummus and the Baba Ganoush. Check them out, 3 for $11 is a hella good deal. I've always been a fan of Mom's Specialty Food's hummus. I frequent their stand at various farmer's markets like the Torrance, Alhambra or South Pasadena one. Their hummus is really good. But this review is about an experience that I had. Their customer service had been great until the last visit I had at the South Pasadena farmer's market on Thursday night. Like always, there were multiple people sampling the chips and hummus. I was trying to decided which kind to get this time. I reached the for the eggplant one when suddenly the worker in the back grabbed the container out of my hand and closed it shut and said "no more samples!" Then he continuously closed every single hummus and took all the bags of chips away, when everyone was in the middle of sampling. All the customers were shocked and confused. Don't get me wrong, the man who worked in the front was the one was helping out customers and giving us samples and he was super nice and had a great attitude. It was just the other man who worked in the back (seemed like a manager or owner?) that was extremely rude. I was ready to pay with credit card and the nice man who was helping me waited for the rude man's phone (had the credit card device). He had no interest in giving his phone and continued using his phone for something else (calculating money? calling someone? not sure). He didn't care there was people waiting to pay. He had an unfriendly, non-welcoming and rude attitude. I really liked Mom's foods and had been a loyal and returning customer, but this experience was really bad and I'm not sure if I will be returning, especially to the South Pasadena stand. read more

Actually he claim this to be the top 3 favorites for people, but I was a bit skeptical since he didn't offer any sample. But my taste buds approve! We shop at both Pasadena Farmers Market and Hollywood Farmers Market. Jacob is at PFM and the reason why we stopped. He radiates positivity and good will and drew me in as we were on our way back to our car. I usually make my own hummus but bought some original hummus from Jacob. It was absolutely the creamiest and most delicious hummus we have ever had! A few years ago I went on an avocado toast binge that lasted quite a while. I used cumin regularly with a fairly heavy hand and burned out on it soooo hard that I can no longer stand it. My husband is not a fan of lemon and yet this Original Hummus was both lemony with a solid cumin flavor and we both LOVED IT! We can't wait to try different flavors and plan on bringing home a few this weekend. We love how all the ingredients are real food! Great food and great service! read more

I went to my local farmer's market here in Cerritos, CA. & it was my first time seeing this stand. The guy offered me MANY samples, all of which were good. However when he offered me a sample of their Fresh Pita Chips "Garlic Flavor" dipped in their Fresh Tzaziki, I was hooked. The chips had a nice CRUNCH and delivered just enough garlic flavor alone with the other spices. As for the tzaziki, it was light, bright, fresh, & cooling. It also had a nice bite.
