They have "THE" French butter, and yes I went home with $100 worth of butter. No regrets. The workers were quite welcoming, and the prices are NOT overly marked up at all. I was expecting prices to be more expensive than usual, but I was very surprised and delighted to see that it wasn't. Whenever I head to this side of Cali, I'll be sure to stop by here for my treats.

My goal was to get some French butter as I saw they have a huge selection of it. I found so many other items like 3 freezer full of items like pain au chocolaté and croissants made in France. All you have to do is bake it at home. They also have frozen baguettes. I got frozen pastries and I also got some French butter and their selection is massive with different flavors. I typically get this butter at the grove but this place has sooo many varieties. I also picked up Italian flour (to make pizza dough) and canned pizza sauce that they recommended. I picked up some Patata Torres chips as well. Will definitely be back to explore the store more. Definitely worth the visit if you're into cooking and like gourmet foods.

If you are Dutch, or even a wannabe, you will be delighted. The last time I came here was at least a decade ago, but one bakery item stuck in my head all these years. I wondered if I could still find it. It was a thick cookie filled with delicious almond paste. After receiving a very friendly greeting, I wasted no time in asking about said cookie, and by golly, they had it. A different brand, different shape, but the same delicacy. Go straight to the refrigerator section to pick up a package of Almond Fingers. Irresistable. Finding this was way too easy, so I figured I needed to browse some more. The store clerk escorted me around, telling me about their products and answering all my many questions. She pointed out another favorite Dutch cookie, a crisp cookie great for dunking, shaped like a windmill. This is loaded with a wonderful blend of "Christmas" (my words, not hers) spices, and not too sweet. In case you are wondering, a small package landed in my shopping bag, too. And once home, it passed my taste test with 10/10 stars. In spite of being small, the store also carries a delightful inventory of canned and packaged goods and even some cute, Dutch knick knacks, like blue and white ceramic spoon holders and salt & pepper sets. You will find their candy section full of many options, including several brands of Dutch chocolates and real Dutch licorice. I love adventures like this! I only wonder why there is no such thing as a Dutch themed café in this area. We are missing out.

They have all the buckets of dried fruits and snacks along with the variety of teas. It's a great place to check out. They offer free samples of any snacks you want to try and the available tea flavors of the day. They are ready to serve the free samples. I got a chance to try a few snacks and some tea. I was in snack and tea heaven LOL. I ended up buying several bags each ranging from half a pound to one full pound. Funny, as I was trying to leave, I would see something else I like. I actually got 3 rounds of goodies and spent a good amount of moola for them. Quality goods come with a price. At the end of the day, it's all worth it. Cheers to good health!!! 1st round: - Pork jerky (yummy!) - Dried squid (decent) - Black sesame candy (amazing and can be addicting!) - Golden Green Tea (100 packs) (really solid green tea!) 2nd round: - Dried jujube aka Chinese red dates (very sweet and delicious!) - Dried logan (taste is a bit peculiar, but still okay) - Dried tofu (haven't opened the bag yet... will soon) 3rd round: - Six Flavor Herbal Grass Jelly Tea (very herbal and refreshing!) - Longan Red Date Jelly Tea (same as above) - Assam Black Tea Jelly (same as above) I had a wonderful visit. I learned a lot about the health benefits from eating certain dried fruits and drinking certain teas. Thank you Diane and Ling for your warm welcome and hospitality at your shop. I appreciate your help and service. I also enjoyed our nice conversation very much. I'll definitely return here for more goodies.

If you're from Hawaii, it's a crack seed store basically. Last time I was here, I totally missed…read morethe side where they had li hi mui gummy bears and the gummy worms. I saw they had pickled mangoes in the fridge too. I decided to leave a review since we've frequented this exact location numerous times and I've gained enough experience to leave a review. So first, every time I've come in they speak only Vietnamese. Did not hear anyone speaking English, so make sure you bring a translator. They give samples of items. Some where given when asked but many times they grab something random and hand it to you. There were little to no prices on a lot of items, so I feel like they make up the prices as you go. Also be very careful with the amount you ask for, I feel like I'd ask for 1/2# but they go over and then still charge you instead of trying to fix the amount. But I guess it's ok since we can't get any of these seeds in Maui. But still, if someone asks for 1/2#, be accurate about it. Since there's no prices and no receipt given, you can't really be sure of the amount you pay. We got a bunch of seeds and rice crackers, price came out to about $70. Then when we got back to the hotel, noticed we were missing the squid. We tried to rummage around for the receipt to make sure we weren't charged for it but couldn't find anything. Oh well, hopefully we weren't charged.. The positive, they do ship their items to Maui. I think shipping started at $10/#. They also have TONS of locations, so if this one isn't nice, try another. lol.

When you request for a pound of a certain dry good in containers they like to add in a little extra. After you requested for several different type of dry goods and they weigh the packages you'll notice immediately they added more than a little to each package and you're paying much more then you expected. We purchased like 8 different type of dry fruits asking for 2 pounds but to separate the 2 pounds into a pound each into separate bags. Because we were giving some as gifts. After the package were weighed we quickly noticed every package was much more than a pound and they didn't want to remove the excess to create the exact weight. When you ask them to make the corrections they make you feel like you're in the wrong, when you're trying to support their business. Upon paying and leaving the store a young and older Asian couple walking past us who seen the 2 bags full of goodies mentioned to us that the store isn't all hyped up to be. When I asked what they thought of this location they said they purchased items themselves about a year ago and told us the staff will pull a fast one on you if you're not paying attention. So always make sure if you ask for a pound that you're paying for a pound because the staff will indeed pull a fast one on you. Never support a business that will cheat you in the end! My purchase was my first time visit to this location but will never return again. Please be warned..
