I found Moms Standard and based on the reviews I felt fairly confident in choosing them to clean my Dads home. I was delightfully surprised with the entire process, the online appointment setup and customer service were great. And the quality of the cleaning was impeccable (This is no exaggeration, the attention to detail from this company was second to none). If I could give this zero stars, I would. I called and set an appointment and no one came. I called and no answer. This company is a joke. Got a message from the founder saying "We're confident that your 1 star review is for the incorrect company. Leaving a damaging review for the incorrect company negatively affects our business performance and gives an inaccurate picture of who we are a company." On January 31st, 2019 I received a voicemail from a Diane J****** from Mom's Standard to confirm having someone to come over to view the apartment. I called her back and we confirmed. No one ever showed up on that date. Next time, do due diligence before you make accusations. I have been a customer for over two years. The service is generally good. I was super happy with a cleaner I had for the past year--enough so that I was willing to overlook the fact that I'm being charged for 6.5 hours, even though it only ever took her 5 on an average day. However, she's left the company. The substitute cleaners are alright, but not always all that thorough for the price. Some have been more professional than others. So it really depends on who you get. I have had problems with their bill payment system, but they keep promising to make it automatic. They apparently have an app messaging system for cleaners that the cleaners never quite see until they're at your home. So communication can sometimes be an issue. read more

I am really impressed with the attention to detail the cleaners put into cleaning my condo. We had a deep cleaning with several add-ons for appliances, extra bathroom, etc. This is hands down the best cleaning service I've worked with. Taric was also sweet and friendly to work with in terms of scheduling and talking through all the questions I had. The reason for four stars vs five is a couple of things. Unfortunately, it seems like one of our fragrance wall flower plugs was re plugged upside down, resulting in all the liquid dripping into our garbage can and onto our wood floors. I realized this quick enough when I got home to clean it up, so thank goodness it didn't do any damage to our flooring. The other thing was our floors had some dirt remaining in some areas. This sometimes happens after the floor dries after mopping, so it needed some spot cleaning in those areas (I.e. one more vacuum and one more mop). Despite these couple of things (as I'm sure we're honest mistakes), I would gladly work with this service again. read more

I am really pleased with this service. It has been a while since we had the place cleaned, so we ordered the deep clean and deep clean they did! Oscar arrived early and got right to work on the bathroom. Jezabel, came and dove into the kitchen, cleaning every surface and making the place spotless. They even managed to clean a few problem areas we had never managed to get clean. It is safe to say that Jezabel and Oscar did an outstanding job cleaning. So it's with great enthusiasm that I can recommend Mom's Standard to you, both fellow dirt-phobes and those with just a penchant for fastidious organization. My girlfriend does Airbnb a lot, and I thought it would be a winning move to have her apartment cleaned for her return. These guys were rated the highest, so I called and went with their "Deep Clean" option, which is an incredible value for the price ($130ish). Phillip showed up right at the agreed-upon noon, and got right down to it. He was polite, thorough, and incredibly professional. I left him in her place to go back to work, and returned to find him later working with Tarik, the founder and owner of the company. They were nothing short of amazing. Tarik stayed late and finished and I can honestly say the apartment has never been cleaner. They made the furniture look brand new and there's no dust in sight! They moved the stove to get dust and grime, and were devoted to getting it all. No corners cut. I can't recommend them enough, and will be using them again soon. read more

We hired them for a deep cleaning of our two bedroom apartment. Epic fail. We have a large rescue dog, and knowing that some people are scared of big dogs, we asked for a dog-friendly cleaner up front. The people that came were terrified of her, and ended up locking her in our guest room, refusing to clean then room, and saying it was our fault that they couldn't do the second bedroom. They also tried to charge us extra hours because they claimed they had to bring a vacuum -- after they broke ours and said it was broken when they showed up (I had used it just hours earlier. It wasn't broken.) Additionally, Tariq said he had called me multiple times about extra hours and only doing a partial job before they spent more time/left half of it undone, which just wasn't true -- I had my phone with me, left the cleaners my number in addition to leaving it with Tariq, and was constantly keeping an eye on my messages. I didn't get a single call. I usually give people (and companies) second chances, but this was egregious enough that I wouldn't even consider using them again. It felt like I was getting scammed and that I paid money for a job that wasn't done. Not recommended at all, especially if you have pets. read more

Had a "move in" clean done today by Mom's Standard and I am beyond pleased. I've tried maybe 6 different cleaning services over the past 2 years, and they are the first to have truly wowed me. First, right on time and brought all needed equipment. I admit to being super picky when it comes to cleaning and I really can't find anything that was missed, no exaggeration. I just can't believe how clean my apartment is and feels. I had them do a deep clean because the $48 off seem to be reasonable. I don't clean often, so I spend to get a deep clean a few times during the year to get places I don't get like those nooks and crannies.. Let me start off by saying, they don't use a mop, they were on their knees and hands mopping, I didn't request a vacuum, but they had one which was a plus and they vacuumed the hell out of my place. I've never seen someone worked as hard as Jasmine did. I don't know, but she probably cleaned some areas twice. She took all the things I had on my dresser and was wiping the items one by one and put them all back neatly. I appreciate someone taking pride in their work.. And they seemed to be one of the only companies that had reviews that matched the type of "clean" I was looking for! - Later I remembered my friend (who may be just as type A as me when it comes to clean). She recently moved and I wondered if she used a cleaning service! So I asked her and she text me a number and when I called I realized it was moms standard! - customer service -Tarik epitomizes the true meaning of customer service! He went literally out of his way to accommodate me several times! And every phone call was answered with courtesy, respect and patience (for my many questions)! - professionalism- Micheal and Tarik were on time! Explained the whole process. Sent me a reminder the day before and answered my emails quickly. I was able to trust them to leave them there and do all I needed to for the day! They communicated constantly about the cleaning process. - CLEAN - their company holds up to its name if you have a really strict mother who inspects with a white glove! They scrubbed every nook and cranny! They moved out furniture.. Scrubbed the floors. Cleaned around, under, behind, up and down every surface there was to clean.. I have had 2 different experiences with them recently and am happy to report that both times I couldn't be happier. As a MOM of three kids and GRANDMOTHER of one, my standards are set pretty high. Both my sons hired Mom's Standard to clean each of their apartments in NY, and the results were nothing short of miraculous.
