We've been making our way to various bakery hot spots in Seattle and decided to give this one in Mill Creek a try. For context, our preference is French style sweet and savory pastries so our search typically leans that way. I'm not a culinary expert but I would describe Mon Amie as more hybrid than French. The pastries and cakes are beautiful, with a unique take on some traditional items. A big plus, they will heat your order for you which makes their baked items taste fresh and delicious. Lots of flakey layers and excellent and kind customer service. She deserves a 5+. The bakery is located in a strip mall and the seating area could probably use a quick hit with a broom but other than that, it's a nice little neighborhood spot. read more

This small French bakery always has delicious baked goods, super friendly service, and local art as decor available for purchase. The ambiance is casual and quaint with only six tables. The best, most flaky ham and cheese croissant I've ever had and an incredible decadent key lime tart topped with clearly handmade whipped cream and sprinkled with pistachio. I was just passing by and decided to get some tart. When i went inside there were couple people ( not nearby the cashier) so i went there to tell my order. As soon as i approach there, the lady yelled me that they are not done yet. ( Like, no Hi or anything) rudest customer service ever. Then one more customer came in. Guess what, she called in the person who came in later than me i was like what and told her how rude she was in service industry and no apology til i leave the bakery. Nice little cafe in the Mill Creek area. Great for grabbing your morning cafe and pastries. Visited over a weekend and was not crowded. Ordered a Cortado, Blueberry Cake and Single Macaroon. The Blueberry Cake was very good. Not too sweet but had thick frosting which was ok. The Cortado was ok. I felt that it could have been better if there was bit more milk. I love this place! She be small but she be mighty! There a handful of tables. The party case is small, but they arrange it so attractively that there is allot in it. The cookies are by the register. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the pastries, so go with your instinct. My favorites so far have been the fruit tart, the eclair, and the cookies. I swear they could have a master class on their oatmeal cookie, and that's usually my last choice cookie! They are pleasant every visit, but yesterday, to my dismay, the eclairs were gone. Just to confirm, I asked no more eclairs? She says let me check. They made one up for me! O really want to try the coffee bar, but I happened on this place going to my dentist, and that's when I stop here. I haven't been able to have coffee because of that. Next visit! read more

First time ordered a cinnamon roll. The dough was not cooked. Still a little gooey and not much cinnamon taste Second time ordered the quiche. The top looked burnt and the crust was way too thick for what is supposed to be a delicacy. But it wasn't. Third time through tried the chocolate cheesecake. Again the crust was too thick. My wife ordered the fruit tart and again the crust was too thick. Almost needed a knife to cut through the crust. Also she ordered a Russian tea cake that had no flavor at all. It was good but wasn't the best that I've had. I also got an oat milk chai. Tip! They still charge extra for the oat milk which I think should be obsolete by now. The chai wasn't the best either. A charming little bakery in mill creek. Lots of free parking as it resides near a large grocer (QFC). It is quite small inside and doesn't have a particular ambiance or mood. Pretty average. I wouldn't say that there is a memorable sound or smell here. The selection is very French in nature, but they do offer coffee beverages and non coffee beverages as well, which is great. They also offer breakfast and sandwiches and custom cake orders. The pricing is average for the items. The food itself is quite good. It didn't taste too sweet and the flavor was spot on as advertised. It was hard to tell from the signage what was what, but the staff was really friendly and nice and provided explanations and recommendations for everything. I almost don't want to write a review for this place because I worry that when people find out how good the croissants are, they will sell out before I can get any more. This place has hands down the best croissants I've ever had. Better than the ones in Paris even. They have regular croissants, chocolate, almond, and usually an almond chocolate one. The croissants are pure perfection - flaky, crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. I always get the chocolate croissant and you can tell it's made with quality chocolate. It's not very sweet and is just absolutely delicious. I don't think you can find a better chocolate croissant anywhere else. Make sure to get here early because they sell out of certain kinds of croissants (especially almond) really quickly. Why they don't make more croissants so they don't sell out by 9:30-10ish is beyond me. I've also tried a caramel chocolate tart here once that was also very good. One of the best Bakeries in Mill Creek. Small bakery near the QFC. First ended up here looking for tarts. The staffs are awesome. Sometimes it get very busy and had to wait. Highly recommend the pastries from here. They are freshly baked and delicious. Tried croissants, tarts, cakes, strudels, rolls, cruffins... loved them! They do birthday cakes as well. Have to place the order in advance. Gem of a place. It's a pricey place. I believe the quality demands it. Every once in a while place. This place is the real deal it will take you to a real French bakery. Make you think you left Washington. I got some coffee and sat back and watched the people coming in and gettin 3-5 of the treats out of the mouth watering selection. The coffee was amazing served in a little cute cup with great French music playing in the background. $1 refills. It has indoor and outdoor seating. I had already made my overnight oats for breakfast and due to this unforeseen 'Thursday out of oil so instead of work I head to firestone adventure' I held strong bad decided to stick to coffee. However since I live a few minute away I will be back this Weekend for croissants! The lady at the counter was very nice and all the baked goods are made in house. These reviews are downright judgey. This place is a gem and so much better prices that the chain coffee spot in the Qfc nextdoor. Not to mention these are baked fresh daily and the size is humongous for what you get and the quality?! This place is super cute and the staff was so nice when I took forever trying to decide what to pick. I got the Lemon Cruffin, Chocolate Hazlenut Bearclaw, Chocolate Croissant, and a regular Croissant. My favorite surprisingly was the lemon cruffin...I'm not a lemon flavored anything but I think it's plenty tasty although I'd prefer it without the sugar sprinkles...the chocolate filled parties were too sweat in my opinion and wished the chocolate was more "gooey" I fixed that by putting them to warm in my air fryer. The pastry dough was so nice and flaky, just yum! The only thing I didn't really like was the scone it was way to sweet for my liking. This is where I steal my guilty pleasure once or twice a month on a Sunday. The treats here are consistently scrumptious. I almost always grab a cookie, and something else, usually a tart, muffin or scone depending on the flavors that are available. If have not had breakfast, the ham and cheese croissant is a must. I want to like this place, I really do. I loved it under the previous owners. Now it's a rotation of new and untrained staff who seemed genuinely afraid to ask for help from whomever is in the kitchen. The croissants are wonderful and I love the tarts but the lunch and breakfast choices are very limited and often out of things. I'm glad they are finally letting people sit inside again but the place lacks ambiance and it certainly felt to me like they'd rather I just take my stuff and go. For me it's too expensive just for pastries to go, especially with a grocery store right next door. If they made the place more welcoming, had staff that knew even slightly what to do, and brought back the lunch options then I would be all for it. read more
