This place is definitely cute inside...I guess the decor got all the seasoning. We ordered the honey lavender latte, Brie omelette, smoked salmon Benedict, and lobster bisque. The "honey lavender" latte tasted like a regular cup of coffee that forgot it had a personality. The Brie omelette was so bland it made plain toast seem adventurous. The smoked salmon Benedict and lobster bisque were...fine. Not terrible, just nothing to write home about. When I mentioned that the food was bland, our waitress responded with a heartfelt "OK." Then a bee started aggressively auditioning for the role of restaurant security. I let her know about that too, and once again: "OK." The gentleman waiter was kind, so points for that. Overall, $66 for food that forgot salt exists and customer service that treated both bland food and an attack bee with the same level of concern? I'll pass. Cute place, disappointing meal, and not somewhere I'd return.

We walked with our friends from Del Mar to Encinitas, had brunch here, and then walked back. What a find! We all loved our food, seating is cute, and service was attentive. I LOVE eggs benedicts and normally order these when eating out for brunch. This one was especially good. The English muffin was toasted but still chewy in a nice way, the eggs were perfectly poached soft, there was a generous amount of avocado and salmon. I love how they cook with avocado oil. My husband ordered these abc omelette, which he loved. We were all happy eating here.

Incredibly cute bistro in a great spot with great food. They offer lunch very early which I really liked, was actually able to order a French onion soup at 9:30 AM! Can't say that about many places! Our server was very kind and attentive, and the food came out really quickly. It was extremely clean and we even got to pick our own seat. Can't wait to return.

This place has recently opened, thought we'd come in for the first time and give them a try. The first thing you see is the lovely ambiance. The café is so quaint, every attention to detail has been considered, even the cutlery and glasses they use are exquisite. The bakery counter looks mouthwatering, it's also nice that they have a few gluten free deserts available. I did mention that maybe serving bread with the entrees would be a nice addition, even better would be sourdough baguette so it may be available to some gluten sensitive individuals. The service was fantastic, our waiter was so nice and welcoming. Our food, as you can see from the pictures was also FANTASTIC. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the salad with the fried goat cheese was such a nice compliment and of course, you can't go wrong ordering French onion soup, one of my ultimate favorites. I can't wait to come back and try some other dishes on the menu, this place is amazing.

We are so happy this restaurant opened. The food is really good and authentic. We got the lobster ravioli which was fabulous. It came with garlic butter bread. Then we got the Caesar salad which was very fresh. Excellent dressing. Then I got the coq au vin which I lived and my husband got the chicken ballotine. Flavor was very good. We then for dessert got the mini fruit tarts. Yummy. Will get that each time! Perfectly hit the spot. I really appreciated the classy cutlery. Makes the food taste better. Kevin our server was great. We will make this a regular goto in Encinitas.

This place is SO good!!! Both service and food were amazing! My mom and I were served by Gretchen and Fernando assisted and both were so helpful and had a great vibe! I really appreciate when staff can give helpful, nuanced recommendations for food and almost insist you try certain items that they know you'll enjoy! Ask them about their French toast options if you go! I got the croissant French toast but they were telling me the crème brûlée is amazing as well! Also last thing such a nice interior I felt like I was in France when I entered!

Then a few years ago, it changed hands (Maybe more than once) and the only Location that I know of now is this one in the City of Encinitas in San Diego County. I haven't been there in 3 years because it is a 1.5 to 2 hour drive. But on fathers day this year, I decided to treat my parents to brunch as it is my father's favorite place for the Niçoise salad. So, i drove from Long Beach. Champagne Bakery is a small french Bakery and café. It is located in a very charming Spanish mediterranean white building with terra cotta roof tiles and a large courtyard with lots of tables under market umbrellas, reminiscent of a European small town square. The seating is almost exclusively all outdoors for the exception of a couple of small tables inside. There is plenty of parking out front. The menu has a lot to offer and is centered around french Café classics such as the French Onion soup, the Croque Monsieur and the Niçoise Salad. But they also have omelettes, paninis, savory and sweet crepes, soups, and more. They have lots of daily baked goods including baguettes, pastries, cake by the slice as well as whole cakes, coffees etc (see full menu in photos) I tried the broccoli cheddar soup for the first time. It comes with a piece of French roll. It was creamy and flavorful. I also got an omelette with spinach, mushroom and Swiss cheese. It comes with either salad or breakfast potatoes as well as a piece of french roll. I got the potatoes extra crispy. Everything tasted really good. My father ordered his all time personal favorite. The Niçoise salad and my mother ordered a soup and sandwich combo. We all enjoyed our food outdoors on a breezy and beautiful sunny day. The manager and staff members were super friendly and accommodating and Prices are reasonable. I wish we lived closer. I would visit more often. If you've never been to Champagne bakery, I recommend giving it a try.

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we walked in, and our food arrived quickly. We ordered the Breakfast Panini and the Brioche French Toast, and both were outstanding. The panini, served on a grilled baguette with egg, bacon, spinach, Swiss cheese, and herbed cream cheese, was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Brioche French Toast was soft, buttery, and topped with fresh strawberries and toasted almonds, striking the perfect balance of sweetness without being overwhelming. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were satisfying, and you could tell they use quality ingredients. Between the welcoming staff, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food, Champagne Bakery is an easy recommendation for breakfast or brunch.

I started off my meal with: Roasted Cauliflower Soup - Rich and creamy, this was the perfect start for my meal. Kim Chee Seafood Martini - Not sure why this is called Kim chee because it didn't taste like Kim Chee. Seafood was fresh. Pork Schnitzel- Fried pork cutlet with green beans that were perfectly crisp, although a tad bit salty for me. Although it came with a brown butter sauce, a bit more of a creamy sauce for this dish to provide something for the diner to dip the cutlet in would make this dish even better. Fried egg was perfectly cooked. Red Wine Braised Short Rib- I tried this and it was super tender! Truffle Fries (add on) - This was fried perfectly but would have preferred more truffle flavoring. Warm Chocolate Caramel Cake - Definitely warm and rich! I couldn't finish! Service was great and staff were super friendly. I would definitely return to try some of their regular menu items!

(editing to add this is a French-owned and Black-owned business, in case folks are looking!)…read more I usually come here when I'm doing errands on Cedros - and I usually just want to get my français on and order a café crème and a croissant. But today I needed a little extra je ne sais quoi because my morning was annoying, so I decided to splurge on lunch and not just a pastry here. I asked Steve, the (très beau et gentille!) co-owner what the quiche of the day was. There were two: one with jambon (ham) and one with épinards et fromage de chèvre (spinach and goat cheese). When I hesitated, he told me that the spinach one was amazing. Even though it's $20 for a quiche plate, I decided to go for it. I thought I was going to get a sad little quiche slice for that amount and might regret it. But OMG, it was more than worth it! Already they have a lovely patio on this pretty street in this fancy design district. But it was also a HUGE and exceptionally savory rectangular slice, alongside a DELECTEABLE petite salade. I asked Steve what mustard they use in the vinaigrette, and he said plain old Dijon - but the proportions and the seasoning were EXCELLENT. So it was salad perfection, not heavily dressed at all, just delightful. The patio was full on a Friday with ladies who lunch - but did that include me, as a solo diner, since I am a lady who had lunch? I'm not sure, but you can feel comfortable here no matter what. And now I know Madeleine Cafe is much too good to just come for coffee and for ordering in French from Steve or his co-owner Emmanuel. I don't want to spend that much for lunch every day - but I'll be back!
