Yogurt bowl a bit pricey at 11 dollars
    Wendy H.

Adorable!! Tiny on the inside beautiful little patio on the outside. Not a lot of seating so either make a reservation or come at a non-busy time. We wanted something simple so my brother got the acai bowl and I got the yogurt bowl. Both were pretty good quantities and filled us up. The staff was over the top nice. Checked in with us often and refilled Waters. I will give it four stars until I come back and try other items on the menu.

I ordered the BYOO, Build Your Own Omelette. The omelette included cheddar cheese, ham and red bell peppers. The BYOO comes with breakfast potatoes and a slice of toast. This breakfast is very filling and delicious. Whatever didn't get eaten at the restaurant got eaten at home later. The omelette was delicious and the breakfast potatoes were warm and crispy and the slice of toast was good. I received very friendly and helpful service. The vibe of the restaurant is friendly and it has a french cafe feel to it. I purchased a large croissant to go and it was flaky and delicious. I really enjoyed the whole experience.

A French style cafe near the Carlsbad coast, with a small cafe vibe and big flavors, L'atelier de Paris delivers friendly service with delicious options for every taste.

    Frittata

Incredibly mediocre frittata with side salad for 20 dollars. Ambiance is fine but the music is far too loud. staff are kind but much for improvement with this dish. Won't be coming back.

I chose to give the place 3 stars not because of the quality of the food, because the food was good it just wasn't something I would say you must try. The service was ok, prices are high but everything is. It was ok to go eat once try it out, but not a place I am wanting to go back for.

This was the cutest place for brunch however I was very much disappointed by the food and service. I hate it when the restaurant owners put so much effort into a place but then hire the most incompetent people to run their business. With a place this cute and a location this great it's a shame not to invest in a better staff! Food at this place should be served on a delicate dish placed beautifully and there should be authenticity in the french flavor!

Went here with my friends after working out. We sat outside in their shaded patio. Service was great. I ordered an avocado toast with a poached egg and it was delicious. I loved that it came with fresh red onions and a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. I also appreciated the clean atmosphere and pretty decor.

We came at about 2pm on a Thursday and no one was there. The patio had nice ambiance with French cafe music in the background. We didn't want to have a heavy meal but we were hungry, so we shared a French onion soup and a Miss Cannes crepe. The crepe is chicken and mushroom with sauce and cheese and both were yummy! My friend recommended coming here and it was a nice relaxing time. Service was great. We will come back again!

    BLTA & Fries

The food was great, and the service was fantastic! We ordered the dirty chai, chicken pesto sandwich, BLTA, and fresh lemonade, and everything was absolutely delicious. Karina was so sweet and made us and our toddler feel incredibly welcome. It feels rare to experience such genuinely personable customer service these days. We left feeling so happy that we picked this spot to eat!

We had a brunch at this place with our friend's family after an Easter event nearby. This place is very cute - a nice Frenchy spot. The foods here are nice, the portion is a little small than I expected. Because it is kinda pricey. The down side of this place is their extra charge on salad which I thought it's supposed to come with the entree that said on menu. Also my friend wants a very small side of Parmesan for little kid. They also charge that! I don't think a nice restaurant will charge every small things like that.

The place is super neat, staff are amazing and very friendly! The food is top tier and definitely recommend

Expectacular experience at Jeune et Jolie. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service and overall experience was simply top notch. The patio space is beautiful and filled with fresh green foliage. The sage and rose colors stand out in the outdoor space. Definitely chic and modern. The food: We started off with the Plateau de fruit the mer: the selection of scallops, shrimp, prawn and oyster was fresh and the flavors they added to each piece made it for a complete unique bite. The three course menu was mainly a hit with the exception of one selection. The hits: Bavarois d'été - caviar , corn mousse Saint Jacques - rhubarb and vanilla Caille- morel was stuffed with sausage Vacherin - decadent and delicious The misses: Gnudi- (the dumpling like version) not bad, definitely not up to par with the rest of the courses. The beverage pairings were a fun add on. Their sommelier comes out for all four drinks and explains how they pair with the food. He also gives you a bit of history on each producer. I'm sad I waited so long to have this wonderful dining experience but I'm happy I finally decided to check it out. Our waitress was lovely too! She made good recommendations and even shared her favorites. I loved the Bavarois d'été so much and could see the dedication put into dish. This prompted me to ask her, "how long does this dish take to make?" She responded "24hours!" I gasped. To learn about the length of time it took to create my favorite course made me even more appreciative for the food I was enjoying. I can't wait to come back and try new items! Nothing but positive things to say about Jeune et Jolie.

We chose to dine outdoors which was very nice. It was a balmy August evening and nice to dine outdoors. No heat lamps were needed but they have them for cooler nights. The only downside was the train noise which was a minor annoyance. As an aside, when going inside to use the restroom it was very hot and apparent that there's no air conditioning and an open kitchen. Might want to dine outdoors until this rare San Diego heat wave passes. From beginning to end the service was very professional, yet friendly. We were well taken care of. We were promptly met at the table and provided water and drink orders taken. Service was well orchestrated with a nice pace. The four course prix fixe menu ($120) lasted 2.5 hours. The restaurant is advertised as 'French' but I'd describe the cuisine as French nouvelle/New American/Californian. The serve a four-course prix fixe menu, along with an amuse bouche, a bread course and a final chocolate bite, so seven dishes overall. Serving sizes are reasonable and I was the only one to leave hungry (big guy, works out a lot). In my opinion, all of the dishes here were very good but, with the exception of the yellowtail crudo, none of them was over the top. Desert was served with a candle for the birthday girl. Nice touch! The wine list here is almost entirely French with a couple of California wines also on the list. We did the wine pairing ($120) and all of the wines on this list are French. I found all of the wines, except the desert wine (port like) to be mediocre. The kids did the Sans Esprit ($80) which they enjoyed very much. The only negative here is the 4% surcharge added to the bill. It's noted in the small print at the bottom of the menu, so it's strictly legal. However, I personally find upcharges distasteful and not becoming of a restaurant trying to present itself as having great service. I typically subtract this from the tip.

I was pleasantly surprised by the chewy texture of the complimentary bread offered at Paon, and one bite took me back to the streets of Paris where I strolled along the Seine River munching on my baguette. Our waiter only offered one small piece each, so I had to ask for a second piece. If my meal were just the bread alone, this would have been a 5-star review. Unfortunately, my dining experience declined after the bread... I ordered the Organic Beet Salad, and it was a disappointing stack of 3 round pieces of beets, each 1/4 inch thick and 2 inches in diameter, topped with arugula and small pieces of pistachios sparsely scattered on the plate. My friend and I looked at each other and asked, "what happened to the rest of the salad?!" Seriously, $21 for 3 pieces of beets?? My friend ordered the French Onion Puree for $19 and got a regular sized serving so we continued to ponder what happened to my beet salad. It was the joke of the evening. This dish was an unconventional spin off the traditional French onion soup, and sadly, while it was a creative idea, it failed to deliver in taste. My favorite thing about French onion soup is the gooey gruyere cheese. There was a small dollop of melted brie on top and that was it. It was a disappointment, but not nearly as sad as my beet salad. For my entree, I ordered the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass $55. The fish was very tender, but the dish itself was extremely buttery and oily. I ordered this dish because I wanted something healthy, but it turned out to be a very heavy dish. The basil beurre blanc was just too overwhelmingly rich. My friend ordered the Seared Rare Hawaiian Yellowfin Tuna $52. The execution on this dish was better than mine. For dessert, we shared a Creme Brulee $18. We did not like this dessert because it was room temperature and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. We like it chilled but with the hard sugary glaze. The top wasn't torched enough. Overall, while we enjoyed the ambiance, we did not really care for the food (except the amazing bread). Seeing how much we enjoyed the bread, it would've been nice had our waiter been more generous and offered us more bread. A good server would be more proactive and not wait to be asked.

We've been to many Michelin stars restaurants but the first experience was never like this. Usually, we'd be offered a seat or the bar while we waited. Our parties were finally arrived so we were seated out on the patio. Can't complain much since we had live summer concert from the beach and the sun kissing your skin. We were offered a refreshment drink which tasted refreshing. Champagne and caviar service came after. The condiments that came with the caviar service were spot on but the vessels they were in were too big, the spoons were too chunky for the tiny diced egg whites, yokes, shallots and chives. The summer menu was much better compared to the fall menu. We enjoyed the foods thoroughly. Final bill were 2,400 for a party of five with no wine pairing. Unfortunately, this would be our last time dining here. Since the experience from reception turned us off which dampened a more superior service from the patio and the main dining room.
