Just found out this place has been here 3 years I've always known of their meat market next door with great quality and exotic meats. But never knew of the restaurant side. Let me start off with saying...I will be back! Service was great. Aguas Frescas are refreshing and homemade. The serving portions are very generous! And all the meats were 10/10! You will not be disappointed!!

    Ala carte burrito

Warm chips and delicious salsa with a slight kick. Ordered a chicken burrito and a carne asada burrito for a quick lunch. The food was so damn good! And they have black beans, my fav!!!! Our server, Betty, was kept the Dr. Pepper flowing all with a smile First visit and hope to stop in here again when in town.

    Aguas Frescas

The restaurant is a quaint & quiet restaurant right next to a carnicería. I ordered a steak and it was tender and full of flavor. My husband ordered the camarones à la Diablo and he really enjoyed it. The aguas frescas were a nice treat. The presentation was very cool.

Ordered for pickup over the phone, food was ready within 20 minutes. Went to the location for my first time and love the look on the interior and outdoor patio. There was a bunch of couples and families sitting down and outside in the patio. I ordered shrimp ceviche and an el pastor burrito. It was delicious!! The burritos are huge and packed with flavor and that goes for the ceviche too. It came with roasted salsa and a green avocado cilantro salsa. Perfection! Staff was friendly and welcoming. On my way out I saw a flight of Agua Frescas and looked amazing! Will come back again soon to dine in :)

Found this little spot while on our way to El Centro Ca. Just off the 10 freeway in Cathedral city this is definitely a spot I want to return and try their other selection of yummy food. Great portions and reasonably priced. They're also partnered with a meat shop right next-door so they know how to specialize on marinating and cooking the meat to perfection. Service was great. They were a little slow because they were shortstaffed that day, but they more than made up for it.

Exceptionally fresh tasting tacos! The al pastor and chorizo were definitely our favorites. Attentive and very friendly waiter. Check out the small El Asado Market next door for meats to throw on the grill at home.

    Burrito Mojado & Torta

The food was delicious!!!! My husband had the torta and I had the BURRITO MOJADO and the meat asada was so tender and juicy! I normally don't finish a whole burrito but this one got me saying "mmmmm" each bites Nayeli, our server had a pleasant approach and a great positive attitude. Great service indeed. The ambiance was very nice and clean. Definitely worth coming back again. (We're from out of town)

Paul Bar is a fabulous experience, I've been here many times and the food as well as the service are always excellent! One of the many really interesting parts is there is a line to get in that starts well before the place opens up at 4 pm and it's like that most of the night HOWEVER the line moves quickly and once you get inside....OMG, you are transported into a really cool, dimly lit, swanky NY supper club with leather booths, tall bar tables plus there's seating at the bar (with many colorful locals that you'll probably end up making friends with) and the selection of food & drinks are so diverse, everything that my friends and I have ordered have been outstanding! Paul the owner who is very sweet is always there and oversees everything in his own quiet way to make sure everything is running smoothly and that his guests are happy, Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is the place to go for really great food, a fun time and an immersive experience and I promise you'll come back

Totally worth the wait. Only open 5 nights a week, with seating for under 45 people, and frequented by locals in the know as well as savvy travelers, your dining experience begins with Paul escorting you to either your table or a seat at the bar. Strap in to enjoy great cocktails and a delicious dinner. There are, as I recall, daily specials. From its humble roots ( 30-40 years back), this strip mall location is anything but a mall resturant. The aproned and bow-tied bartenders and waitstaff are REALLY good at their assignments. The back bar is ornate and old. Set your expectations high for the quality and presentation of the food. if you're a party of two, the bar is THE best option (perhaps only) and your wait time to order will likely be shorter there. If you're eating at the bar, ask your neighbors what they recommend or what they ordered, and you won't go wrong. Paul Bar is a one-off, not to be missed dining experience in Palm Springs.

We shared a bunch of dishes, which is definitely the way to experience the menu. The cocktails (not pictured) were fantastic--whether you're in the mood for a timeless classic or something a little more whimsical, there's something for everyone. The escargot was beautifully prepared and made even better by the perfectly char-grilled baguette that came alongside it. The steak tartare was an absolute flavor bomb with great seasoning, especially paired with the house-made potato chips. It leaned a touch salty, but in a way that made it the perfect appetizer and somehow had us ordering another round of cocktails. The grilled artichokes were simple, smoky, and delicious. The red curry mussels were served with that same incredible bread and an aromatic, deeply flavorful broth that we didn't want to leave behind. The smoked pork chop was another standout--beautifully charred on the outside while staying perfectly juicy inside. Beyond the food, the service was fabulous, attentive, but not rushed. The atmosphere is quintessential Palm Springs: stylish, colorful, well-lit and a lively environment overall. It made for a memorable birthday celebration, and everyone in our group left happy. Reservations are notoriously hard to get, but we got lucky with a last-minute walk-in and were seated after 15-20 min wait. There's plenty of parking, and if you do have to wait, they have a cute little covered outdoor seating area with chairs and tables where you can relax. We sat on the patio, which was surprisingly cool and comfortable, so don't let the Palm Springs heat scare you away. The whole restaurant has such a sexy, colorful, candlelit vibe that somehow feels both lively and intimate. We kept the drinks simple and ordered Hugo Spritzes, which were refreshing and perfectly made for a hot afternoon. What we ordered: * Caramelized Onion Tart (Puff pastry, chive, Comté) - This was recommended by our server and I can see why. It reminded me of French onion soup wrapped in a flaky puff pastry. Rich, savory, and definitely shareable since it is a bit on the heavier side. * Red Thai Curry Mussels (PEI mussels, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, red chile, coconut milk) - WOW. This was hands down my favorite dish. The broth was incredible, rich and packed with flavor without feeling too heavy. I was worried the lemongrass might overpower everything, but it was perfectly balanced. It comes with toasted bread and trust me, you'll want every last drop of that broth. I'd honestly come back just for this dish. * Steak Frites - The steak was cooked perfectly medium and was delicious. The fries were crispy and seasoned well, making it a classic done right. * Broccolini - Simple but really good with a nice char that added great flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The atmosphere is one of the best parts..beautiful, moody, and full of personality..but the food absolutely held its own. Service was friendly, the patio was comfortable, and now I completely understand why it's one of Palm Springs' hardest reservations to get. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

EVERYTHING! We were early so stopped at a bar and Dave got a Makers Mark w/Ginger ale. Loved it and the price! Played a bit of poker (machine) and then it was time for the Steakhouse. We were greeted by the sweetest young lady (and I'm mad because I can't remember her name). She was there throughout the evening and was delightful. She filled our water glasses and brought a giant basket of assorted bread. I had to try them all and each bread sample was a new experience. The butter-2 kinds-soft and tasty. Then we got our drinks. Dave got a bourbon blackberry smash. Loved it. I got a pineapple lemon drop. Loved it and the pineapple garnish was an experience all its own. Dave's surf and turf was fillet and lobster tail. Both cooked perfectly. He hardly even needed a knife to cut the fillet AND the lobster was perfect on its own but when he dipped it into the melted butter it was even more satisfying. I'm vegetarian and was pleased with the number of options for me. I opted for the bucatini and it was so great. I only ate half of it since I knew I really only wanted the carrot cake. Andrew, our server, brought Dave a birthday cheesecake and it was very nice. But he had to try the key lime pie and it was perfect and sour (in the best way). The meringue was sky high and perfectly torched. The crust?? The best. If you want the carrot cake, you need to let them know ahead of time since it takes about 15 minutes. Was it worth the wait? YES IT WAS. It's hot out of the oven in a tiny skillet, topped with the creamiest ice cream. I'm a baker and super picky about baked goods and the folks at The Steakhouse know what they're doing. Everything about our experience here was the kind that makes you want to return. This is the perfect Special Occasion venue. Pricey yes. Worth it? Also yes.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve much after we were seated. It took a while for anyone to greet us or even bring us water. When the bread finally arrived, there weren't any plates, and because it took so long for someone to return for our drink order, we had already decided what we wanted to eat. The food came out fairly quickly after we ordered. The salads were good, and both the baked potato and mac and cheese were delicious. The steaks, however, were just okay. The biggest disappointment was the lobster tail, which I had been looking forward to the most. It was cold, chewy, and came with cold butter. Definitely not what you'd expect from a steakhouse. One thing that really left a bad impression was the closing routine. We arrived about two hours before closing, so it's not like we came in at the last minute. About 20 minutes before closing, the staff started vacuuming around the dining room while we were still finishing our meal. I understand everyone wants to get home, but vacuuming while guests are still eating is unprofessional and really took away from the experience. Overall, there were a few good dishes, but between the slow service, disappointing lobster, and being rushed out by staff cleaning, this isn't a place we'll be returning.
