Mona does not care of her clients hair, as a hairstylist you should always give out a consultation to see if able to achieve someones hair goal not just go straight to the money and not care how you will be leaving someones hair. I don't think this was a $245 worth job she redound $45 but I honestly believe a color correction should've done first instead. read more

I've been coming to Mona's Salon for threading and waxing for two years now. I always make my appointments with Sheavy. She is seriously the best, hands down! Her threading is very precise and clean. My eyebrows are always getting complimented. When it comes down to waxing she always makes sure you're okay and comfortable. The first time to getting a BW it does feel painful but after your first session the pain lessens. I have recommended a few people to her and they always tell me how satisfied they are with the service they received. Sheavy is the best! Mona is the best! Ever since Mona started cutting my hair, people keep complimenting my hair.

My friends and I have been going to Mona at Split Ends Salon for years! I'm very excited that Mona has her own full service salon. She does an excellent job with threading for both women and men. My favorite thing is how I never wonder if my eyebrows are going to be uneven. Obviously, if you have messed up eyebrows already, she doesn't have magical powers to fix it, but she will do her best to make it look less uneven. Continued visits will definitely get you closer to even brows. I've also had a facial done with Mona for about $50 dollars. Sometimes she runs deals where you can get eyebrow threading for free so just check in with her. Although there's still some kinks to work out and positions to fill for this new salon, I'm confident that Mona can pull together a great crew. I have full trust in Mona and I promise you won't be disappointed. Extra tip: Make sure to make an appointment with her before walking in to guarantee your spot. She does run a little late sometimes, but that's probably because people come late to their scheduled appointments. Don't be that person. read more

Mona is incredible! She is the only person I trust to do my eyebrows. Yes, I've followed her from Split Ends Salon. She is also great for facials. I could hear my skin thank me over and over again. Ok y'all I can't stop touching my face because it's just so darn soft!! She uses fruit masks for your face. I've had some facials elsewhere and had some terrible reactions before. But Mona makes you feel comfortable and will ask you if you are feeling any stinging (which is good for first time facial goers as most won't say anything). I wanted to treat myself to a new hair color and cut for my birthday. I had an appt. with Melissa Valero for 9:30 last Saturday and didn't leave until a few minutes after 6 pm. During this time I had been sitting with bleach on my hair for approx. 6 1/2 hrs. Melissa was texting and talking on her phone throughout the entire stay, periodically walking away or writing things in her appt book. She also worked on 3 other clients all while I waited. I then left the salon with a completely botched haircut and balayage hair color, as well as with dye all over my face. Luckily my sister had advised me to go to Sally's Beauty Supply to purchase dye remover or I would have showed up to work with it on my face. I made an appt with Erin at Essentials in the Marketplace and she was able to fix it as best as she could including having to cut inches off from all the damage. While I was getting my hair fixed I was told Melissa had only dyed patches of my roots. She only partially colored my roots, skipping the crown of my head, and bleached the entire rest of my hair not weaving or leaving out any of my dark color to blend my hair together as opposed to being choppy and contrasted. When I asked for a refund she begged me to allow her to fix my hair, saying it only needed toning. That clearly wasn't accurate as my hair had to be darkened again and color pulled down to break up all of the orange from the bleaching process. In the end I was told by Melissa she would only dye my hair back to the original color it was in, which was quite humorous considering she spent a vast majority of the time telling me how bad black hair dye is. I should also mention that she contacted my friend (whose lady admitted she didn't know how to do balayage's and therefore recommended me to Melissa) attempting to plea with her, instead of responding to my attempts to contact her. I would never recommend anyone to Melissa, because obviously she doesn't know how to put her customers first before her pride or paycheck. read more
