Today I booked a last-minute appointment that was such an emergency. I made a very bad decision over the weekend and scheduled a haircut with someone who was not skilled in such profession! this week, I have been going to work with my hair pinned up but today I told myself I had to get this fixed. When I called to see if there was a new thing anyone can do. They told me they would reach out to see what can be done, and Priscilla did more than my expectations. I honestly can't say enough about her. She is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have ever met. I know that when it comes to doing hair, you have to have a certain skill set for it, but she makes you feel so comfortable. She transformed my hair and I don't even look like the same person that I was when I went into the salon. I cannot thank her enough, and I look forward to seeing her again in the next upcoming months for another trim. The owner graciously took the time to respond to my messages and find one of her girls available to help me. She really listened to my fears of getting my hair cut and didn't mind any of my interview questions I had for her at her chair. A little back story on my hair: i created immense color buildup & damage from box dying my hair black for over 6+ years. I was aware of the damage i had created once i was older and decided i didn't want black hair anymore. I knew the time, money and the "ugly stages" i would have to deal with to get to my goal hair. I was so worried (but willing) about the orange blotchy hair stage i had seen many other girls have to go through to achieve the blonde they wanted. But not with Mimi, we talked back and forth via IG and i told her about my hair history and what i was wanting. She made me very aware that until we do a strand test we won't know which direction to take because we don't know the extent of the color buildup yet. So, i went in for a strip test, and boy was there build up from all my box dye! The build up was definitely more towards the end of my hair, if I would've let her cut off about 5 inches of hair I could have achieved a overall lighter look but I was not ready to part with my hair yet. We were hoping for the best but with the damage i had created already, i was expecting a-okay looking hair. I was wrong, I was OBSESSED. I was able to get very close to my inspo pic that i had showed Mimi. Some thing I stressed to Mimi before our bleaching session started was that I did not want to fry my hair & She paid close attention to how the bleach was reacting to my hair to make sure my hair never got gummy! That made me feel very safe in her chair! I followed her after care instructions & never had an issue with color fading after washes (i was 1/2 times a week). I ended up going back for another session and decided at this point I was going to cut off my color build up at the ends to brighten my hair up more! (Also, it was so hot this summer i wanted my long hair out of the way) Same thing, bleached & toned! She payed close attention to how the bleach was reacting to my hair, checking the foils every so often. My end result after that session is exactly what i was wanting! So light & healthy! I had (still do) so many compliments on my hair! I was supposed to go back for a tone eight weeks later and unfortunately I had to reschedule since she is so booked out I had to wait until yesterday to be able to get in for a tone. So i had gone a very long time without a touch up & walking in the salon yesterday my hair still looked great. After my tone yesterday and asking for a more ashy blonde I am amazed at what Mimi & her magic toner can do, holy moly! My hair is beautiful & buttery soft, it looks even better than my inspo pic!! I can't even believe where my hair is now from where it started! My hair feels healthier after two bleach sessions than it did prior to me having Mimi do my hair. I knew with the amount of damage I had caused I was gonna have to find a superstar in color correction. Took me a while of Instagram hunting but I'm so glad I stumbled upon Mimi! Mimi is hands down the best of the best. She listens to you, she doesn't BS you about how your hair will turn out, she will be 100% honest with you even if it is telling you that you won't be able to achieve the hair color you're wanting, i appreciate how honest she is when it comes to color corrections, she's very charismatic & fun to be around for hours in the chair! Do NOT recommend! Beware. I regret not coming here beforehand to see reviews. I saw Mimi and she didn't deliver the results she promised. She was never able to admit she didn't get my hair to lift enough for it to take the blue color properly . Incredibly stubborn and blamed me for not understanding hair. I spoke to the owner via IG and she had her back 100% but finally at the end, did admit she did not lift enough and my hair looked daaark purple not a vibrant blue. Mimi was not able to admit this. Owner also said each person has their own policies and she cannot do anything because they are not considered employees. Her IG photos must have filters because my hair never looked the way she made it look in photos. Her photos are misleading! Even that color on her IG was waaay to dark and not what I wanted. I literally paid $40 for a haircut and a week later $275 for hair. She was supposed to do a strand test, which she didn't. Had she done this, she would've known what to do with my hair more accurately. I was extremely detailed with my hair history with her on IG and during my haircut appt. My husbands reaction was, didn't you say you were going to do your hair? I said I did, and he said "black, I thought you were doing blue?" Not one person I got an opinion from (3 were professionals) said it was worth the price. All agreed it didn't look anything like the pictures she showed me of her previous work which was what i wanted and she said she would do to my hair. After her belittling me over and over again because apparently I'm too dumb to understand hair, she finally refunded me 50% and I believe this was just because friends of mine commented on her ig and I spoke with the owner. She blocked them (and now me). Incredibly stubborn an cannot admit her fault. This was what really pissed me off like how hard is it to just apologize, accommodate me soon, not a month from now, and keep a client that will spend the money for hair done properly/products? You can stay open late one day or come in on a day off to fix you mistakes! The owner said quote "She is super nice, but after you express dislike with a service any stylist would feel defeat." And I think ok defeat plus 275 dollars in your pocket? Not too bad right? How do WE feel when they mess up our hair, won't admit their mistake, you are out 275, and now you are stuck with it because you would have to bleach it again to get what you originally wanted. And even I'm not dumb enough to bleach it anytime soon. Mind you minimum of 225 to get this fixed by a salon owner. Next time please just be honest. It's admirable to be an honest person and it's ok to admit your mistakes and correct them asap for you clients to be happy. It happens to the best too. The blue hair pic was what my hair was going to look like.. not even close. I now have 5 inches of blue tips for 275? I could've done that by going to Sally's. UPDATE: I did it myself and it looks soo much better and more of a vivid blue! It only cost about $40 by going to Sally's! read more

I am giving this salon a one star rating because zero stars wasn't an option. I haven't had services from anyone except Mimi, so I have no complaints other than I cannot get in touch with the owner of the salon to resolve my issue with this stylist. I do not recommend Mimi at this salon. I had a consultation appointment with Mimi on 3/19/2020 for a haircut and dye. My appointment was at 10 a.m. and I told her how I wanted my hair cut and dyed. I asked for dark emerald green from root to ends, and she offered to do it that day and I accepted. She told me that she had other clients that she would be working on while working on me at the same time, but reassured me that she could do it, so i I trusted her. My problem isn't with the hair cut, but with the how my hair dyeing result turned out. She showed me the color that she was going to put on my hair and I agreed that that was fine cause it was a darker green. She proceeded to do a bleach wash, and told me that it would open the hair follicles enough to let the green dye in. She proceeded to dye my hair, and when she washed, all the dye came out with it and I was left with random stringy strands of green, but overall nothing was different.  She took responsibility for it, and offered to try again, and I agreed that it would be fine, and again, she reassured me she would fix it and make it the color I selected. I posted below the pictures of how she first bleached my hair (which I now know wasn't light enough for the color to be accurate) and I also posted a photo of how my hair looked when I left the salon. I accepted this due to it looking pretty and told her thank you.  I then messaged her and asked what products she recommended for washing and conditioning, and I proceeded to buy those said products (she told me that the Redken shampoo and conditioner will help leave the color looking vibrant longer) and that it would bleed some, but its normal. So again, I trusted her and bought these products. The only one I didnt buy was the green watercolors shampoo due to having already spent close to $200 so far and I assumed the color wouldn't wash out like that in just one week. I waited til 3/25/2020 to wash my hair, and this is what happened. The tub I posted below had about 2 inches of water, and all that dye was washed out of my hair. I posted how it looked while it was wet, and then eventually when it dried. My problem is that all of that dye washed out, and now I'm left with blotchy green hair with a lot of yellow. I proceeded to contact Mimi that day, I asked for a refund and she refused. She said that I didnt follow her instructions for after care and she also said "Your service cost me money" and mentioned that SHE had to pay more out of pocket. She offered to try again when the salon reopened (closed due to COVID-19) and I declined. I then told her I didn't want her to try again due to her already failing twice, and I do not trust her at this point with my hair. I also spent 7 hours in her salon due to her working on other clients. After this last message that I received from her (screenshot posted below) she proceeded to block me before I could respond.   I do not feel she efficiently dyed my hair correctly, nor did she resolve the issue with me professionally. She tried to make me feel like I was a burden on her and wasted her resources, and like it's my fault that the dye washed out. I do not recommend Mimi at this salon. read more

I had hoped for a better outcome here. I called the owner yesterday to let her know what happened. She talked over me the entire time and basically told me it was my fault for making the same day appointment for a big cut (with my schedule I often don't have any other choice.). I have never asked for a refund for a haircut but I'm having to pay double to get it fixed elsewhere and considering how bad it was, this cut wasn't worth the money and I talked to her about it. By the time I left the salon, I was absolutely not happy. I wasn't going to be rude to Alyssa. It was too late and there was no point, all I wanted was for her to stop touching my hair and making it worse. So I thanked her, paid and left. It wasn't until I went to another stylist to get it fixed did I truly see how bad it was. There were chunks missing in the back and the whole cut was so uneven I had to cut way more than I wanted originally off just to make it look okay and was still unable to get the haircut I wanted. The stylist said it looked like a "beauty school oops." I've never left a bad review anywhere but I feel the need to save other ladies hair and time. Not only was the haircut terrible, but the owner is rude and tries to pass it off as professional and polite. I never said I needed it evened out to her. I said there was a chunk missing from the front and it was a bad cut and I was upset. I will never go back and I will make sure no one I knows goes here. read more

Shevy is my current and only hairstylist. She just moved to this salon from another amazing salon called Krimson in LA. It's insanely difficult for me to trust anyone with my hair and she does the most epic job every single time. She's the only person that knows how to cut bangs exactly how they need to look for your face shape. She was the first person to ever dye my hair and did the best job. My natural hair is a strawberry blonde but I wanted to have super intense red hair and she gave me just that. I come to her as often as I can because the amount of compliments I get on my hair is unreal. She's also the funniest, sweetest and coolest person. Ive gone to Mimi Multiple times. She has been taking care of my hair since she was in beauty school and she is and will always be the only one i trust. She is very professional behind the chair and at this point Ive gone to her so many times shes more like a friend. A friend who will take care of my hair and make sure it is healthy and happy. I have gone to her on separate other occasions such as hair cuts, deep shampoos, scalp treatments and bleaching. Each time she made me feel so much better about myself. Got a service here of lash extensions decided to try it out because it's near me worse decision I could have ever done!! The person there unsure if she's even certified as a lash expert applied so much glue that my lashes were clumped together and uncomfortable for the first 48 hrs!!' My eye lids were so uncomfortable!! Went back got them removed the girl didn't even remove them fully she left me go home with chucks of glue on my lashes! 2 days later went back with my lash artist & I still had glue from so much she had applied! Found out the girl burned me more when she applied the remover instead of carefully applying it!! Horrible and the way the owner handled it bad! No one ever admitted that the service was cheap! refused to give a refund, refused to admit a fault! DO NOT recommend it!! read more
