We have been coming here for years. We find that the restaurant is affordable, and very good! The staff is friendly and always treats us well. If someone is complaining about the taste of the food, I would not take it very seriously. At least as far as Mongolian BBQ goes, as the customer, you put together your own bowls and sauce combinations. The way your food tastes depends entirely on how you put your food together. It may take a few trips to find out how you like your food. But once you find out how you like it, you will find it to be among the best Asian food options on this side of the city! Love eating at this place all the time. They have Mongolian BBQ and Chinese food. Both are super delicious and have never disappointed. When we don't feel like eating Mongolian BBQ we opt for their Chinese food which is made fresh to order. Hubby loves their Mongolian Beef which is so nice and tender, love all the green onions they add to it. I love their Kung Pao Chicken you can taste the freshness unlike other Chinese restaurants that have the food in steam tables. Wonton soup is also a great choice. I don't like praising or even patronizing businesses with poor customer service. The Asian lady (owner?) is so rude, it makes me want to give a 1-2 star review and say I'll never come back. But, with that said, this place is pretty rare and I have to admit I love the experience and the taste of the food. It's a heck of a lot of fun to pile high your own 'cold' food and watch as it is cooked before you. They recently raised their price from $6.99 to $7.99 so it's not the same deal it used to be but still relatively reasonable. The closest competition is De Tasty's which I actually would highly recommend. Better customer service but they too raised their prices recently and stopped the 20% lunch special. Overall, rude owner, less than friendly cook(s), but the place is fun and yummy. I'll keep coming back. P.S. One time I went with my wife and our 4 year old and 1 year old. My wife and I each shared our plates with our 4 year old. When the bill came, I was charged for a kids meal. I asked the waiter what is up with that and he asked me "Did you share with your child?". I answered "I most certainly did, why would I not be allowed to? We didn't get the buffet". He told me the owner doesn't like sharing but he'd remove the charge. What the heck??? I hadn't been here in a while and I went in assuming it was all you can eat like it always was. There was a sign with prices above the "buffet" that said dinner price and "all you can eat". They said something about a two bowl limit per plate. We are and went back for seconds. When we went to pay the worker asks us how many times we went back for food because it is no longer all you can eat. There was no indication anywhere that we were going pay for eat plate instead of the all you can eat it used to be. There were signs everywhere that said all you can eat. I always crave Mongolian BBQ after working out, tonight I finally let myself splurge with the partner. This was the closest ayce one so we decided to check it out. We were blown away by the amount of options as well as sides. This was the first mongolian bbq that had options such as lamb and crab along with the usuals of chicken, beef, and pork. Very cool! The noodle options were udon as well as rice for people that are gluten free. Lots of veggies and toppings. You're also given fried rice, appetizers, and soup which for the price is AMAZING. The owners are very sweet and those that are on the grill are very fast and really caramelize the ingredients. My mouth is watering as I recount our experience because its really that good! Came in for the first time to be greeted by 1 out of 3 staff members who gave me confusing directions on how to order. It was hard to understand the waitress so I decided to get closer to the food bar to read the menu. I was told that one plate was 8.99 to-go, so I decided to go for that one and realized the cook didn't add the noddles. I grabbed a plate and added some noodles so that they can be added to the rest of the food (like they do in most Mongolian bbq restaurants) however in the end I was charged for two plates. I asked for clarification but the waitress gave me attitude and pointed at the sign sternly. It was extremely confusing when she tried to explain, the atmosphere was unwelcoming, and they were very short staffed. This Mongolian place in the riverside county is the best out of all of them. The one near ucr is mid and the one near colton is also mid. The one in the moval mall is mid. Their Mongolian food is very good and we're able to customize it. They have a great deal of two bowls for the price of one but the only thing is you have to eat in the restaurant and you can NOT make it to go (stated from the owner and the sign. This time we tried their ma fu tofu and it was very good. I really enjoyed it to the point where I wanted to switch plates with my boyfriend. Today was my first time in this place. I usually like going to the Mongolian food place in Moreno Valley Mall but they were closed. My daughters didn't want to eat and are picky eaters so I thought I'd get a bowl for me and have them try some of mine. I got a bowl for me and the rude lady at the front asks "how many people?" I thought that was weird but told her it was for me. She told me I HAD to buy a bowl per person because I was not allowed to share. I tend to read the negative reviews probably like most people. On my visit I didn't experience any of the issues others complained about. The place was quiet and clean. No workers stared at me while I was eating. The host spoke English just fine. And the rude employee that a couple of people mentioned was nowhere to be found. The food itself was quite good. I had the Mongolian BBQ. The ONLY disappointing thing was that they don't offer shrimp as a meat, but that's quibbling. However if they ever do add it I would bump the review to five stars. They have a variety of vegetables and meat for you to choose, you can find many things here that aren't offered elsewhere such as tofu, mushroom, and lamb. With a huge plate of meat, veggies, and noodles, you can also get complimentary steamed rice, sweet & sour soup, and sesame bread! I feel guilty after eating a whole lot of food for 8 bucks. Sesame breads are delicious! They are fresh out of the oven, and you can still smell the yeast and sesame. Love that!! By the way, they also take care of us vegan people by offering tofu! I don't eat egg noodles, and they have no problem accommodating my needs and make me a fried rice instead. When I asked them to please clean up the stove, they are super sweet and clean the stove three times just in case there are some meat residues. Eggs rolls have dry shrimp in them, so vegans may want to avoid it. Sesame breads have only wheat, no eggs. Sesame balls have red bean in it which are yummy also. I much prefer the Mongolian BBQ spot on University in Riverside (even though I'm a starving college student that loves her AYCE). They bring out various appetizers for you which I'm really not a fan of. I feel like they're kind of stale and they keep putting the ones that aren't eaten, out to another table. The meat and veggies and whatever and can be comparable to another Mongolian place. What sets a place apart for me is their sauce and sauce combinations. I have been here a few times. It's never busy but I love the way you pile food inside a small bowl so they can cook it for you LOL. I stack my food with noodles high and then put the oils and sauce on it and they cook it right there on this huge round pan. I prefer not to eat the rice but I eat it anyways cause i love rice with my food. They have a flat screen tv, it's not the greatest location but it is what it is. I love mongolian bbq and I have been struggling to find a good one in southern California. This place is one of the best, if not the best in Southern California that I have tried. The meats were fresh, the veggies looked fresh (don't really eat vegetables), and the noodles were good. They have a variety of sauces and on my second bowl I found the sauce combination that was absolutely perfect for me (it may take a few tries for some people). The staff was friendly and the price was pretty cheap. I'd like to address some of the complaints other people have posted. This is a typical Mongolian BBQ, not an all you can eat Chinese or hometown buffet. Yes they have an all you can eat option, but its for the typical meat, veggie, noodles, and sauce plate. That's what Mongolian BBQ is. They have a fresh fruit bar, with jello and some other stuff and that was good, but its definitely not what you would consider a typical all you can eat buffet to be. Also their meat is frozen. I wouldn't want my meat sitting a room temperature while it waits for me to show up for dinner. That's just not right. If you don't want frozen meat go to a fine steak house. The meat tasted great to me. I didn't try the wontons, but the pocket bread and the soup was good. Not great, but good. I didn't go there for that anyway. For the $11 I spent on the all you can eat BBQ and a drink, it was well worth it and I will be back. read more

We do not get out this way very often, usually after the occasional fishing excursion to the Salton Sea (yes, we do eat the fish out of there), but once we made a special trip just to eat here. Thus, that should tell you that we really like the food and service. There are very few true Mongolian BBQ only places around, as a stand alone restaurant, and I believe this is the closest one to our home town. The location is somewhat run down and can seem kind of shady at times; which is too bad for the owners, because I bet it keeps quite a few people (snobs) from patronizing the place. For the novice they will gladly walk you through the process. The meats (albeit frozen thin slices) and vegetables are always fresh and the selection is very good. The side soup they provide you is okay, but those little sesame seed bread pocket thingys are very tasty; and I enjoy stuffing them with my BBQ concoctions (notice it is plural - because I do the AYCE and mix it up). Back to the Salton Sea aspect, for those times we stop here on our way back - They don't even wince at us being grubby, disheveled and most likely a little smelly (we are fishing and it gets damn hot out there, too!).
