I really wanted to love this BBQ spot, but unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the hype for me. First off, the service was excellent. The cashier was friendly and made some great suggestions, which I really appreciated. As for the food, it was a bit hit or miss. The chili cheese fries were the standout flavorful, hearty, and honestly the best thing we had. The pulled pork sandwich was the better sandwich, the flavor had more depth and was much more enjoyable. The brisket sandwich, however, was disappointing. It came shredded and the flavor just wasn't there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is very clean just very dark inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It looks closed but if the "Open" sign is lit up please go in!! You order at the counter, they bring your food to your table! We ordered the beef rib (3 Ribs) and they were tender and fell off the bones! Very flavorful! I had corn And slaw for my sides! The best Cole slaw I've ever had and I order it at every bbq restaurant! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We watched a football game on the tv while we ate![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will not hesitate to go back soon!

Peach cobbler

Service was great always friendly! I haven't been here for years and can we say disappointed!!!!! food was mediocre and for the price absolutely will not return! Sausage no flavor, ribs were just OK, mac & cheese, potato salad, no seasoning, the only meat that I did have that was good was the chicken breast and peach cobbler I don't even know how they're calling that peach cobbler! It almost was like a bread pudding with peaches on the bottom, took one then two bites and threw it in the trash! Was definitely not worth my $75 today very disappointed!

Okay I'm not a huge BBQ fan. Not to say I don't like it, I just don't tend to seek it out, and nor am I an expert. I can tell good, vs what's bad, but I'm definitely not picky. I can say, this place is amazing. Everyone working here is so nice. The portions are good! It's a bit pricy (but where isn't?). Hot Ham & Cheddar is so good. It's even better than the Burger King Yumbo (RIP) and wow the brisket is like butter!!! So much flavor, good crisp. Also the BBQ sauces are all amazing!!!!!

Barbecued rib and chicken combo.

I cannot really comment about the ambience because I took the food to go. The service was good and the food was ready when I got there. As far as the food goes, I got a ton of food for about 120 bucks. I got barbecued ribs, barbecued chicken and barbecued beef. All of the meats were delicious. The ribs fell off the bone and the sauce compliments them well. The barbecued chicken was good as well. Not as tender as the ribs but still good. The barbecued beef is shredded and it goes very well on the rolls, which accompany all of the combos. I put a little coleslaw on top of the meat in the sandwich and it really complimented the flavor. For our other sides, we had barbecued beans, fries, macaroni and cheese and potato salad. I didn't taste the potato salad, but I was told it was very good. I liked the coleslaw very much, the macaroni and cheese was OK. The kids liked macaroni and cheese. I feel like I got a great deal and the food left over was happily enjoyed the next day.

I would give this place 3 stars, the beef ribs had lots of fat. The sauces were delicious there's a medium hot and it was the hottest but the very hot was medium, lol the sauce made it better. Mac and cheese was good, I'm not a max and cheese person but it was good. The Cole slaw was perfect, creamy. Spicy chicken sandwich was not spicy at all. Service was nice, young men very polite. Ambiance was nice, they could use some music perhaps something. I dint recall hearing music. I'll be coming back, I'll try some chicken and update my ratings accordingly.

I finally had a chance to try this place. The food pretty good, just wasn't a fan of the Mac n cheese. The beans, chicken and ribs were good and the ribs meat was very tender. My plate ended up being about $23 and some change. They are worth another visit, for me to try different meats and different sides.

Ask the Community - Hoggs Gourmet Grill

Which style of BBQ would this restaurant be considered; Memphis, North Carolina, or Texas?

Mine is Arkansas BBQ which is seasonal well before cooking in a slow roasting smoker for several hours. Usually with applewood or avocado woods. I’m from Arkansas and this is…

Do they still have their Quad Burger Challenge?

Yes we do! Good luck.

Is the bbq sauce gluten free?

Yes. It’s Bullseye BBQ sauce that we add our own spices to. No flippers no fructose corn syrup. We roast peppers and add to our medium hot and light you up sauces.

Are you opened for Fourth of July holiday?

Yes they are.

I finally made it back to my hometown and had to stop by Portillo's in Moreno Valley again!!!!…read more This was the first time I decided to try their burgers and boy I'm glad I did because I've definitely been missing out. The char-grilled burgers were cooked perfectly--juicy, flavorful, and loaded with fresh toppings. The Italian beef sandwich was tender, juicy, and even better with the hot and spicy peppers that added the perfect kick. The French fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. And if you're ordering fries, the cheese sauce is a must--it takes them to the next level! Daughter had the Chopped Salad with spicy chicken, and it was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor. The spicy chicken added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the salad. The portions were generous, the food came out fresh, and the staff was friendly. If you're looking for delicious burgers, amazing Italian beef sandwiches, crispy fries with cheese sauce, and a fresh, satisfying salad, Portillo's in Moreno Valley is definitely worth a visit!

I ordered the chili dog with onions and got a side of nacho type cheese to dip it in and for the Fries...... Not bad overall, but the chili had BEANS in it and was too watery. It needs to be THICK like at Tommy's and Cupid's. The fries were no big deal. Speedy service, as the inside was just about empty on Thursday around 3 p.m. How about selling just the raw dogs so we can take them home and make our own? These were not anywhere near as good as Cupid's in the San Fernando Valley on Winnetka.....which has been the gold standard for decades!!

Now that I've eaten here twice I can weigh in some insights and a suggestion or two…read more My first visit was dining-in, and I ordered the excellent, hand-dipped chicken fingers with fries. The chicken is as good as it gets, perfect batter and execution. The fries, however, were the polar opposite. Undercooked, limp, hard to believe the contrast between the chicken and this mess that I couldn't eat after the first few bites. This is the suggestion part: Be sure the cooks know how to shake the basket and recognize when the regular fries are properly cooked and crisp. I read a lot of other reviews saying they had issues with the fries also. My second trip was via drive-thru and I ordered the amazing pastrami burger. Just incredible, really. I get why they're popular. Based on the first time I decided to try the curly fries to see if it would be a better outcome. It was, fortunately, and I think this is what I'll get henceforth, or onion rings, which are still untried. Anyhow, the girl at the window forgot to give me the drink and I'm still wondering how my bill reached $22, but I'll ask specifically next for the receipt and breakdown. Four stars for now with reservations.

The lobby is spacious, clean, organized, and offers both table and booth options. I came specifically for a chicken salad, and it did not disappoint, so fresh and tasty. Their burger is another win; I got it lettuce-wrapped, and it was so satisfying. I love that they pack it in a sturdy box instead of a paper bag. It kept everything together and totally mess-free. Major props to the kitchen for the excellent takeout presentation! Also, I really enjoy their fried zucchinis, it's one of my absolute favorites here. The staff behind the counter was welcoming and efficient. I had a good experience and I'm looking forward to coming back and checking out their breakfast menu.

Parking is limited and compact stops. Experience: There are menu posted on the windows outside, maybe this is a relic from covid times. The wings looked too good in the reviews so I had to try. Also had a breakfast sandwich with hot links. The sandwich was good, I really liked the hot links they used (I'm particular about my hot links). If you like your eggs a little on the runny side you'll 10/10, me 9.5. But now let's get into the wings. 100000/10. They are hard fried, and saucy! The buffalo sauce is the perfect blend of tangy with that little buffalo kick. Nothing crazy spicy. But so damn good, better than Wingstop. Yes I said it. Exactly what I want when I say buffalo wings (no slimy/soft skin). Great little spot! Okay Mo Val!
