If you're going to charge an extra fee, it should be clearly stated before customers order. Transparency about additional charges before customers order is basic respect and something customers expect! When I asked about the fee , Daivyd H (cashier) asked rudely "Is it a problem"? *Photos of : receipt that shows the fee underlined in red , and the Shoyu Ramen The portion size was great for the price, the presentation was excellent, and the flavors were outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. The balance of flavors really stood out, and it was clear that care went into both the taste and the presentation of the food. My order was also prepared in a timely manner. I've eaten at many restaurants in Durango and haven't encountered this kind of undisclosed fee elsewhere. The food was delicious, but hidden fees made for a bad first impression. Overall, I'd give the service a 3/5 for the rudeness , and hidden & undisclosed fee. The meal, flavors, preparation, portion size, and wait time is a 5/5.

Offering ramen, poke, and sushi has a large menu with something for everyone. Was with the kids on this visit so ordered a miso for the boy, a chicken ramen for the girl and a couple apps which all went down very quickly. The shishito peppers are excellent with a vibrant display of colors ranging from the bright green of the peppers to the pink of the chopped ginger. The chicken ramen was basic, but had rich broth and a nice assortment of veggies. Service was quick as it is a smaller restaurant so plan ahead.

Lucky for me, they had so many food options from all the food trucks and a bar at the center. I decided to eat at the slider food truck and ordered one fliet mignon slider and the Cajun fries. They give you a buzzer to let you know when the order is ready. During that time, we walked around to some of the other food trucks to check out their menus. We ended up grabbing at table just in time before we experienced torrential rain. Mind you, it had been sunny and 78 degrees just five minutes before and suddenly was freezing. Well, my version of freezing. Finally the buzzer went off and my sister picked up my order. We all shared the Cajun fries because the portion was definitely shareable and they were so good. The filet slider really impressed me! The blue cheese and caramelized onions were the perfect touch. I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Durango!

We started with the Bavarian pretzel, which was served with beer cheese and mustard. It was delicious and fresh! I then had the southwestern burger, which is always a favorite of mine because of the green chilis. The burgers are always cooked nicely (I order medium) and I was able to substitute a side salad, which was easily one of the best side salads I've ever had at a brewery. We are doing dry January, so no beers this time, but had a lovely hop water that they brew there and even left with a growler full. Highly recommend Steamworks for an authentic Durango experience or if you're just trying to catch a game or hangout with friends. It definitely has fun, local brewery vibes. We will definitely be back!

The location was perfect for us because we were able to easily walk there from our hotel. We were lucky enough to get outdoor seating, which made the experience even better. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Durango weather, and people watch while having dinner. We decided to do a beer flight so we could sample a variety of their beers before committing to a full pint. It was a great way to try different styles, and we each ended up finding a favorite. Everything we tried was really good. My husband liked their Buffalo wings and whiskey burger, I enjoyed the seared tuna bowl, and our kids liked their pizza. It is definitely a busy and popular spot, especially during peak vacation times, so I would recommend putting your name in early and expecting there could be a wait. In our opinion it was worth it. Steamworks had a great casual vibe that worked well for both families and adults wanting to enjoy a brewery experience. The downtown location adds to the charm, and it definitely felt like one of those must visit spots while in Durango.
