Very good!!!! Amazing!!!!! It was funny because when me and my dad walked I'm we thought it was a typical buffet. You basically pick up a plate and choose whatever you want to put with the noodles. I have been to multiple mongolian grill type of restaurants and this one is by far the best tasting. They really know how to cook it here. Very friendly staff. We have been here many many times. We will continue to visit here! The only criticism I have of this place is the booth setting could be updated. They are all very old and worn down. Some of them you feel like you will fall through. This was the perfect restaurant we have been needing after so much bad food on our trip. Select all of the vegetables you desire in 1 of 3 sizes of bowls, garnish with shaved meat and noodles. Customize your sauses and then have them stir fry it on a big flat iron grill. Then its back into a fresh bowl for your delight. The vegetables are still crispy and everything tasted great. If you are really hungry, for a small surcharge, it's all you can eat. One medium bowl was enough for me. A staff member charged me only for the small bowl because she thinks I didn't fully load it up. I had thought I heaped it up fully. Wonderful staff. I'd definitely go back to this place if I'm in the area again. You can fill the bowl as high as you want with vegetables, meat, noodles, and sauce. And they cook it all in front of you. This place has good buffet style food. You choose your own ingredients and sauces, and the chefs cook it up before your eyes. The food is good, and the restaurant is clean. I love this restaurant ! I have visited this restaurant many times enjoy it very much. Ok yes it is not the most upscale one BUT it is always clean and the staff polite and friendly. They always remember me and great me as a returning customer. They even remember that I have food allergies and will always clean the grill before cooking my food. How many restaurants do that people? The food is great and well price for people on a budget or have a lot of people in the party, 3 different size bowls and one all you can eat size too. It is definitely one of the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food didn't seem sanitary and many of the vegies seemed to be leftovers, and you can tell from the tastes. When I walked in, there was very few people dining in there, and I was served by a young Asian lady with glasses who doesn't even know what she was supposed to do. Regardless of the service, the old lady at the cashier was looking at me weirdly and didn't even say a word when I paid my food... This is a great spot for poor college students. My friends and I would each buy the biggest bowl, eat until we were full, and still have about 2 meals left over. It was a huge bang for your buck. Lots of Asian restaurants in town but we decided to give this one a try as we love Mongolian grills. Well, we weren't disappointed. The inside of the restaurant isn't fancy but the choices for the grilling were great. The waitress, although she didn't do a lot, was very attentive. All the food was very fresh and the meat was well chilled. Lots of selection with the sauces too. It was dinner so we paid $10.50 for a large bowl. In hind site we didn't need that much as the bowls are very large. So we ended up taking half of it home for another meal. So it was a good value for the money. Had to carry glasses to the server for refilled after waiting for them for 15 minutes, glasses were empty, we were done eating and had to get up and go ask for boxes and a bag after 20 minutes waited another 10 minutes and had to get up again and ask for a bag. This place is a typical Mongolian grill and had many of the same things that a lot of them have. I had a couple of small bowls, but my husband really enjoyed it and tried a bunch of different items with different sauces. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt like they used too much water while cooking which took away a little bit of the sauce flavor. This is a typical Mongolian Grill. The food was fantastic and the staff was nice. They were very friendly to our son. The restaurant was very clean and they even offer take out. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars from me is because they were only seating people in one half of the restaurant and so it was very loud and crowded with children running all over the place (not the fault of the restaurant...people out here are horrible parents). I LOVE this place. I know it doesn't look too dressed up inside, but never judge a book by its cover. When I first went in i didn't understand what to do, I just followed my fiance and kept piling on the food. When it was finally cooked and we dug in, I couldn't believe how good it was. My favorite Rapid City dining, hands down. The Reasons: -The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. When I go out to eat, I want to stay for a couple of hours and catch up with friends I may only see twice a year. Server always refills my cup half a dozen times, never any pressure to rush us out like at lots of Rapid City establishments. The restaurant is always spotless clean, and I love the interior decorating. This ain't no chain restaurant with garage sale items nailed to a wall. Plentiful spacious booths, lots of open isles (none of that tight-spaced thing restaurants around Rapid seem to love that I hate), and a bit of Asian decor. -The food is amazing. I was lovin' Mongolian Grill years before Hohut came in down the street, and trust me- the cooks at Mongolian do one thing the teenagers cooking stuff at the chain restaurant don't- cook the food all the way through! Maybe it's a cultural thing, but Mongolian Grill cooks have the skills to work that grill. And they don't skimp on the extra Teriyaki. Always flavorful. -Always some left for tomorrow. Even if you get the smallest bowl, I've been told by the staff itself to pile it high because it cooks down low, and they always bring to-go boxes without you even asking because that's how awesome they are. I don't eat out often, but when I do, I love leftovers--especially Mongolian. So I make sure to get a large bowl, go liberal on the tofu, krab, and mushrooms, top the noodles high, pour on my preferred mixture of sauces, tip the chef big, and then tip the waitress big.
