Mongolie Grill has been the spot for the tastiest & freshest stir-fry in Whistler for years. The key to this stir-fry - make it to your hearts content because you are picking everything you want from the ingredients right down to the sauces. All that's really being done is the chef is grilling your food - that's it. So if your food sucks, it's your fault. You will be given a silver bowl to load up with your choice of meat & veggies etcetera. You're server can explain all this to you if it's your first time here. Keep in mind current pricing today - $28 for up to one pound of food. One member of our group was real hungry & went slightly over one pound & that bill came to $67! To be honest, there's nothing wrong with that, so long as you're completely satisfied with what you ordered. The shrimp, microscopic scallops, noodles & everything else I mixed into my bowl, made it all delicious. I was extremely satisfied. I have been here in the past & recall not being so happy about my food. That was probably my fault & I wasn't thinking when I picked my options. I tend to normally stick to one type of meat & cannot handle mixing up beef, chicken & every other available meat. The beef today was excellent. Blended in nicely with my shrimp & scallops. Hot Tip Alert - I recommend eating here then going over to Bar Oso for dessert. Get the Basque Cheesecake. #yummy The cocktails are splendid as well. Cheers.

Mongolian grill restaurant where you fill up a bowl with the ingredients you want and have the chefs cook it on a big grill for you. They have a variety of protein, carb, and vegetable options so I'm sure you'll find something you'll like. It's good a casual meal that's different than the other restaurants at the village, but it is just so expensive for what it is. Even for Whistler.

I have to say this place was amazing. The staff was great and super interactive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe and music was perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious. Yes, the price is a bit high, for the location of the business I feel like its in the range of what the price should be. They do weigh the food. Mine was high in price i had more stuff and things in it. I would recommend this place and I would definitely come back.

This place is delicious. If you're in Whistler, I highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner. They open at 11 a.m. Me and my man got there at 10:57 and once 11 struck there was people pouring in so get there early if you want. The service was amazing. The waitress that we had was so kind and the chefs were very kind to my man. It's $29 per pound so keep that in mind I ended up spending $31 for mine and it was just a little over a pound. I wish I could go back for more, but it's very pricey. Overall, I would definitely go back to this spot for lunch. Thank you, Mongolie grill!!!

A very unique restaurant where you select your own ingredients for stir fry. You select the sauces, you add your vegetables and meat. Great dining experience and services are great too. Overall a great concept! Here is my recommendation: - Remember you have complimentary rice as well. So maybe avoid noodles to save space. - The price is based on weight. So your stir fry can get pretty pricey very quickly if you are not mindful. - You can ask for hot sauce at your table so you can save some weight by cutting down on the sauce.

Overall ambience is a lo-fi beats album - its not overbearing, but it's not faint either - you can very clearly hear it. The environment isn't loud, but it definitely feels crowded. The way they seat the tables is left to right, front to back - and you can't even go up to pick your stuff until they give you the bowls - so you have to rely on fast service to get through. Food was decent quality (ingredients were good), and the cooking methods were standard. The only annoying part was the price - for 1500g of food it's $91CAD (priced at $61/kg) The other annoying thing was that they charge for bowl weight and for sauce weight - so you really have to be careful what you pick. One saving grace was saving $9 for checking in on Yelp - so if you're here - use that "check in" feature and get a nice discount! Service was also quick and straightforward. We asked for ice and chopsticks after we got the rice and sangria, and it was prompt. The amount of white rice they give (versus brown) is more - so order that if you care about quantity. Don't bother picking noodles since you have enough rice for the bowl. The actual location is centrally located in whistler village - you go up a couple of flights of stairs behind the Aritzia. Verdict: I'd probably come back again, but I'd have to be way more strategic in what I pick. My fiance gave me her remaining plate - but from what I picked - I wasn't full after (sad days). For the two of us the full meal came out to $140 CAD after tax, tip, and discount. Definitely not cheap - but also not the most expensive meal we've had in whistler village.

Fun experience, not sure if its worth the price though. Its a little on the pricey side, for a mongolian grill with average ingredients.

They also had a Halloween cocktail list. The hostess was friendly, but our server killed our experience. Her words were friendly but her facial expressions and body language revealed how much she disliked serving us. My husband and I spoke after, we both felt she was probably racist. Their happy hour menu had a big selection of food items but no drinks. Everything was pretty expensive for happy hour. We tried the raw Albertan elk tartare and potato puffs. We enjoyed both dishes and the portions were big. As much as we enjoyed the food, we probably won't return due to the slow and uncomfortable service.

Though the restaurant was largely empty when we arrived, we were sat at a booth that at best sat 4 and was not enough for the 5 in our group. We tend to eat lots of appetizers rather than one big meal so I knew the table would not work - we asked to be moved and the server was quite confrontational - she eventually agreed to move us to one of two larger tables that was available the whole time we were there! But it was a weird start and had we not already ordered drinks and it been a Saturday night with most places booked - I would have walked as I don't ever recall been talked to like that in a restaurant and my guess is they moved us in time to stop us leaving. She also told us that she would stagger courses appropriately- that never happened. Pretty much everything arrived at once which I wondered if it was an attempt to flip the table quickly for other large parties - who were not exactly lining up in abundance. The other large table sat empty even after we left. It arrived so, so fast I would guess that a lot of it was pre prepared and just heated up as multiple plates were brought out less than 10 minutes of ordering. Also most of the appetizers and salad arrived last so they seemingly did not know or care to course appropriately. We also ended up stacking dishes at the end of the table as they were not removed- though to be fair, they appeared to be woefully understaffed . Food had some hits and some misses .The meat eaters loved the chicken, the shishito peppers were excellent, , watermelon salad was good, potatoes croquettes were a shadow of their former selves and needed more flavor , mussels were okay and the Creme brûlée was gritty! Weird vibe, mediocre service, food was just okay - much better places to eat in the Village so I wont go back.

The sourdough bread was excellent, the salad and soup of the day were both good, and dessert was excellent. I had planned to add scallops to my risotto based on the server's suggestion, but they were out of scallops, so I added prawns instead, which were very good. The only reason this is more of a 4.5-star experience for me is the noise level. The acoustics made the restaurant very, very loud, and we could hardly talk during our meal. I found myself eager to finish simply so we could get out of the noise. Everything else was wonderful, and I will click 5 stars because the food, presentation, and service absolutely deserve it. Sadly, I'm not likely to return because of the loud environment, but for guests who aren't bothered by noise, Wild Blue offers a truly lovely dining experience.
