The key to this stir-fry - make it to your hearts content because you are picking everything you want from the ingredients right down to the sauces. All that's really being done is the chef is grilling your food - that's it. So if your food sucks, it's your fault. You will be given a silver bowl to load up with your choice of meat & veggies etcetera. You're server can explain all this to you if it's your first time here. Keep in mind current pricing today - $28 for up to one pound of food. One member of our group was real hungry & went slightly over one pound & that bill came to $67! To be honest, there's nothing wrong with that, so long as you're completely satisfied with what you ordered. The shrimp, microscopic scallops, noodles & everything else I mixed into my bowl, made it all delicious. I was extremely satisfied. I have been here in the past & recall not being so happy about my food. That was probably my fault & I wasn't thinking when I picked my options. They open at 11 a.m. Me and my man got there at 10:57 and once 11 struck there was people pouring in so get there early if you want. The service was amazing. The food was excellent in terms of the quality of ingredients. You then have to choose how to combine these items and what sauces to add. So important to think about what you're doing and combine items to accentuate the flavor. Overall ambience is a lo-fi beats album - its not overbearing, but it's not faint either - you can very clearly hear it. The environment isn't loud, but it definitely feels crowded. The way they seat the tables is left to right, front to back - and you can't even go up to pick your stuff until they give you the bowls - so you have to rely on fast service to get through. Food was decent quality (ingredients were good), and the cooking methods were standard. The only annoying part was the price - for 1500g of food it's $91CAD (priced at $61/kg) The other annoying thing was that they charge for bowl weight and for sauce weight - so you really have to be careful what you pick. One saving grace was saving $9 for checking in on Yelp - so if you're here - use that "check in" feature and get a nice discount! Service was also quick and straightforward. We asked for ice and chopsticks after we got the rice and sangria, and it was prompt. The amount of white rice they give (versus brown) is more - so order that if you care about quantity. Don't bother picking noodles since you have enough rice for the bowl. The actual location is centrally located in whistler village - you go up a couple of flights of stairs behind the Aritzia. Verdict: I'd probably come back again, but I'd have to be way more strategic in what I pick. My fiance gave me her remaining plate - but from what I picked - I wasn't full after (sad days). For the two of us the full meal came out to $140 CAD after tax, tip, and discount. Definitely not cheap - but also not the most expensive meal we've had in whistler village. read more

It's great for families, friends, and couples. The only down side from our visit this year was the increase in their prices. Also, if you were one of those individuals who used to choose the large bowl, be ready to not have that option anymore. It can get kinda expensive because you wont realize how much food you're putting in. They said they will give you free rice so you can opt out noodles if you want. LA has a lot of Mongolian place like this at the mall and even with the most expensive one it for sure under $20 and they don't weight the food, fill the bowl as much as you can. My place come out to be around $35 and it taste so so. They have bunch of sauces that you can add the bad thing is the weight the sauce also! I also ordered a lychee martini and it come half cup! I know in Whistler it's more expensive but I found the price ridiculous. When we walked in we were told $29 a pound which is deceptive as it was $64 a kilogram. Yes, I know a kilo is 2.2 but that should have been $58 for a kilo. One hungry person did eat almost a kilo of food after doing the granfondo so his meal was $61.12. Only 2 people in our group of 6 had an alcoholic drink. The cheapest bowl of food was $24.64 for a 1/3 of a kilo. Our bill with tip came to $318 bucks. The ambiance is very minimal. Food 2/10 Yikes. It's sort of like hibachi style, but you pick your own items, and it's priced by weight. You get a 50% voucher if you eat more than $50 CAD worth of food. After you pick your food and sauces, you line up to get your own individual bowl stir fried on this large stir fry grill I guess? Unfortunately, the sauces were quite disappointing and even though I added the amount recommended, it still was quite flavorless, so I had to add more soy sauce once I sat down at my table. The beef was incredibly dry, honestly everything was incredibly dry and overcooked. We watched the chefs make the food, and it definitely was getting cooked too long. At least there's complimentary rice, so there's no need to add noodles to your bowl. Atmosphere 1/10 The oil fumes were everywhere, the ventilation was very poor. My hair ended up smelling like the kitchen, which I very much did not appreciate as I had just showered prior to dinner. Service 7/10 Server was nice and friendly, but the hostess was a little rude and wouldn't let us sit down even though most of our party was here. They had told us it was a 30 minute wait, so a few of my friends went to grab something from their hotel room. You can build a stir fry bowl here and watch it get cooked on a massive, round flat top grill. Your stir fry is priced by weight. Ignoring this and that you get a free cup of white rice, I filled my bowl mainly with chow mein, but I'd go as far as saying that there is excellent value here if you like bay scallops, shrimp, and salmon. Most people around me were passing over carbs for proteins, but none of those folks were showing signs of their fatigue from the previous evening. Don't forget to bring some cash to tip them. When we got back to our seat, we got our drinks as well. The food and drinks were both great, but I can't give 5-stars because of the drink. The glass was only 1/2, we confirmed and that wasn't a mistake. If we were to order elsewhere, it's more like 3/4 full. I've been to Whistler multiple times and have always wanted to try this place. They offer two sets of bowls, and you fill them up with whatever you like. They offer multiple kinds of noodles, veggies and sauce and you wait in line for them to cook it in front of you. **But beware**.....because what they don't tell you is that the smaller bowl option, if you fill to the top (and you will because it's small so why wouldn't you) will end up costing you $40-$50. NO JOKE. I just about fell over when I saw that this plate of food cost that much. I would be appauled at spending $25 for this at another restaurant, let alone $40+. I honestly think that if you used the big bowl, it would end up costing you $120+. My food was great because I did a really good concoction (if you're from Chicago this place is really similar to Flat Top Grill - RIP), but my friends plate was just ok. Like someone else's review said, "if it tastes bad, it's likley your fault" lol. Yelpers- you can save your spot in line on Yelp and get 10% off. You will need this 10% because this place is $$$$ :) We didn't order drinks. One plate was $42 and the other was $48, the 10% basically took off the tax. At that point, I should have gone out for some nice expensive steak dinner.
