We planned on stopping at a different pizza place in the area but after seeing how awful the reviews have been in the last couple of years we decided to give Monical's a chance. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and shortly after we were seated in the dining room area. The dining room was very spacious and had comfortable booths and open tables. The front room appeared large but apparently there is an even larger room towards the back where they accommodate larger parties. We know this because we saw them as they were leaving and it surprised us. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She took our drink orders and gave us some extra time to look over the menu. We decided to order a 16" Mighty Meat and a 14" cheese and sausage. We also got a family pack of bread sticks which included 10pcs and two sauces, we got nacho cheese. As we waited on the food we enjoyed looking at the decor in the dining room and having nostalgia over the items. The bread sticks came out first. The sauce was okay and the bread sticks were not great. Dough, dry and bland. We wouldn't order them on the next visit. Our pizzas came out and they were perfect. Thin crust. Crispy crust. The right amount of sauce to cheese and very generous portions of meat. Everyone enjoyed the pizza very much. read more

My wife and I gave this location another try on a Saturday night! This location was really busy! I ordered carry out online. We ordered a 14 inch thin pepperoni with light cheese. 1 order of bread sticks with nacho cheese and a family size salad with no tomatoes and with the Monica's sweet n tart dressing. The pizza was outstanding this time! 5 out of 5 for the pizza! The salad included iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, and cheddar cheese. The downfall again was the extremely skinny breadsticks!!! "Honey I shrunk" the breadsticks!! I wish they were normal size. They did taste good. My wife also always orders a couple sides of marinara to dip her pizza in! Overall, we will be back! We just wish the breadstick size can be fixed! read more

I would suggest ordering out or deliver. The service was awful we had 3 different waitresses in our 1 hour visit. the First got our drink order. The sceond took our food order. the third brough is our food and check. In the mean time we had to ask for refills and Plates after our pizza was sitting for 10 minutes at our table. We had a fussy one year and just wanted to get out but we had to wait even longer because the coupon that we told the first waitress that we had was not applied to the bill. She did get that fixed right away. I tried to give her my card right then but she walked about and was talking to another waitress about how they do closing duties at this location. If you are going to this location I suggest carry out or delivery. read more

Stopped in here after dropping a trailer, plenty of room for truck parking, the food was very good, and the decor is really neat. The service was good, nice and friendly. Its easy to get to as well. We'll come back when in town. read more

I ordered for delivery, was impressed it didn't come in a box... it came like i called mom and she had it delivered to me. I loved it. Very upscale, lady on the phone was very nice. Delivery guy forgot utensils but i was at hotel so they provided. Food was delicious!! read more

Ordered wings and pizza. The pizza crust was thin and chewy, how many frozen pizza crusts are. The toppings were okay, and even though I just finished eating, I do not remember any flavor from the sauce. Probably in the bottom 10% of all pizza restaurants I have tried. Way overpriced for the quality. The wings were awful. My son thinks they were the same as what you can buy at a grocery store in the frozen food section. Imagine those wings, then microwaved -- that's what these tasted like. read more

I get Monicals whenever I visit my family in Illinois. Home in Dallas has some great pizza but Monical's Deluxe is an occasional treat & a change from what we normally eat. Everyone likes something different with regard to pizza! Morton Monicals is consistently hot and delicious, and the restaurant is always clean with friendly staff. Good stuff! read more

I really love this place. It's my last night in the Peoria area, and despite being stuffed full of holiday food and sugary treats, I have made room to accommodate a Monical's thin crust Delight. I don't care if these skinny jeans bust, it's so gonna be worth it. My new Kentucky home has nothing that compares to this establishment. In town on a 3 day/2 night business trip and this is the second time I've had pizza for dinner. Last night I ordered Pegasus Pizza and gave them 3 stars. I gave this review 4 stars. I orderd the same type of pizza that I did from Pegasus - Pan Pizza with heavy sauce, sausage, ham and mushroom. The sausage from Monical's was EXCELLENT and the ham was thinly sliced ham and the mushrooms were fresh. The sauce was very, very good and also very flavorful. I ordered my pizza for delivery and I was a bit disappointed that they said it would be about an hour to deliver my pizza to the Holiday Inn Express. However, I really have no idea how busy they were. That being stated, they were very true to their estimate with the delivery driver arriving almost exactly 60 minutes after I hung up the phone. If I am here again for business or pleasure, i will order pizza from here first. Very good indeed and you won't be disappointed. read more

Terrible service. Food is regular Monical's fare. Mary the manager could care less about your experience or the lack of service her servers offer. If you want to fetch your own condiments, only drink one glass of your favorite drink and don't really want all the items you ordered.......... this place is for you! Have been to eat in with three babies multiple times and delivery several hundred times, it feels like, and have never had one problem or anything close. Employees have always been so nice and not to mention we love love their pizza... also recommend getting thin crust cheese it's even better leftover and even cold! Very disappointed in Monical's this evening. We ordered at 7:25 and our order didn't show up until 8:55. When we opened up our pizza it was cold and chewy like it had been sitting for quite awhile. The wait was way too long despite being rather empty and on top of that the pizza was cold when it got to us so I'm assuming the waitress forgot about it. We didn't even get checked on until we got our check. On top of that, our order was wrong. To top it all off we got a semi-apology from the assistant manager that didn't have them accept any blame whatsoever and $1.50 off our order.. just lovely. Great service. Pizza was okay. Wings were terrible. They were extremely fatty and rather soggy.

Oh. My. God. HORRIBLE! Now, I know I am spoiled because I grew up on NY style pizza, then moved to Chicago and had the pleasure of Chicago-style pizza around the corner. But, come ON. This pizza was utterly tasteless. Not an ounce of flavor! And, the ingredients tasted like they have been sitting around for weeks!! It literally tasted like cardboard. When I moved to Morton, I was told this was the best pizza around. If this is the best pizza around, I wouldn't DARE try any other place. Again, I know I'm not in NY or Chicago, and I'm very flexible when it comes to food, but this was pitiful and I will never go again! read more

Good crust. Sandwiches aren't bad either. I think they need to add more seasoning to their pizza sauce though
