If you're a taco lover, don't sleep on the mini tacos. My favorites are the cabeza, lengua, al pastor, carne asada, and carnitas. Each meat has its own unique flavor and is cooked well, making it easy to mix and match for the perfect taco lineup. To wash it all down, the horchata is always on point--smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Monica's may not be fancy, but it's exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you want in your back pocket. Excellent food for very reasonable prices. I have yet to order any food from Monica's that wasn't perfectly made and delicious. I suggest they not make any changes to how they prepare their menu items and continue putting out some fantastic food. I live close enough to walk there and 'Eat In' but, I'd rather drive there, so I can rush home and enjoy it still nice and warm. Keep doing what you do. You're the best in South-East Pomona. 3.5 stars There are some very good things about Monica's. For one, it's opened 24 hours. Secondly, the prices are relatively very cheap - tacos are $1.75! They also use melty cheese on their asada fries. We ordered the following: -asada super burrito ($10.50) -2 asada tacos ($1.75 each) -crunchy chicken taco ($3.50) -asada fries There were subtleties that felt a little off. The crunchy chicken taco ($3.50) isn't a taco dorado, but rather a fried tortilla crafted into a very hard taco shell. Instead of shredded chicken, it's stuffed with regular ole diced chicken and topped with shredded lettuce and shredded cheese. Not what I was expecting, but it wasn't tasty either. On a high note, the super burrito is massive! But, I'd skip adding the lettuce. Hot, wilted lettuce in a burrito is not the biz. I also liked that they used melty cheese on the asada fries, but here, the asada fries are no fuss. Just meat, cheese, and fries. I wish they were dressed up a little more. To be honest, the asada was a little dry and lacking in flavor. Too bad for us because that was our meat of choice. It functioned as protein, but did very little to enhance any of the things we tried. Monica's has a very homey feel to it despite being located in a gas station. They have printed pictures of their menu items with hand written descriptions which I found to be really endearing. I'll be back to try one of their very many menu offerings. read more

To keep it short and simple the food was sloppy, I also didn't end up eating my food because I lost my appetite when I saw a mouse running into a hole in the wall right next to the kitchen. I used to work at Anheuser Busch across the street back in 2016, the food was delicious but it was under the name Albertos I believe. Well decided to hit this spot late night after years of not stopping by. I ordered the Asada Burrito and my sister had some Asada Super Nachos. The only thing super about this food was the grease. We got here around 1:15 am, it was slow but all the tables seemed to be dirty, there's is dust like crazy on the table lamps. I would recommend this to a drunk who was driven by someone sober. This place was not that bad. It's located in the gas station! They have a lot of options for not that bad of a price. I got the super quesadilla which I liked a lot, but my boyfriend didn't.
