Service appointments require someone to be home for a nine hour window, and then they frequently cancel/reschedule the service after failing to complete it that day. They did not respond in the required 48 hour window to a locate request before trenching was done, and as a result their line got cut, then they failed to show up for the appointment to repair it. Last time I needed service from them the same no-show followed by service rescheduling happened several times in a row before anyone showed up. Give your money to literally anyone else.

That's not the problem. The problem is that during this period they continued to bill me! Guess what? Things were finally repaired and I was told I owed the whole amount FOR SERVICE I NEVER RECEIVED. Support was not great during this whole period, but suddenly they were downright rude and dismissive. Provided chat transcripts of the promises they made and they didn't care. It's a really great business model--offer nothing at all and then just bill people for it! I advise to avoid.

So they sold me the package and sent a guy to my place to set me up. Upon his arrival he informed me that I was only receiving an SD receiver so I would not be able to view any of my HD channels that I had paid for. Why would dish sell me HD channels but not tell me I wouldn't be able to view them? So I had to call and sort it out, and pay $100 to upgrade to an HD receiver. They sent a guy out to upgrade my receiver. Once I had the HD receiver I discovered that I didn't have any ESPN channels in HD. Dish had flat out lies to me and told me they were in my package when they were not. So I had to call in again and increase my monthly payments just to get the channels I was originally promised.
