She didn't try to up sell on any services. Some items I told her I could do myself and she was fine with that. When vehicle was complete, she texted me a complete report identifying all items that had been repaired or reviewed. It was an excellent summary of what was done or checked. I've used his services a few times over the years. Overall, 5 stars. His prices are very very reasonable and he won't nickel and dime you over small things like replacing a cabin filter or charging for things he can't fix. Comes with his tools and diagnostic equipment, some of which are not cheap. Definitely not a backyard mechanic, let's put it that way. He came out yesterday to inspect our A/C system going out. It wasn't because of freon, I already checked that. He came out, hooked up his gauges and poked around. Went as far as to go under the side of the van and immediately said it confirmed his suspicion because one line was hot while the other way cold. The fluid couldn't circulate. Said he suspects it's a clogged system. Well, our Odyssey has two HVAC units for front and back. Not a cheap fix to diagnose the system to find the clog because it involves taking everything apart one by one to find it. He said he'd recommend going to a local shop to have them run the a/c flush machine and that it could get out partial clogs and any metal shavings which might be causing issues. That he could do the repair for us but that it could cost into three figures to fix, depending on when he finds the clog between front/rear units. That he's more than happy to take care of it but doesn't want us spending more than is necessary if a flush can fix it. Best part? He didn't charge me a penny! Said because he was only there to diagnose and couldn't fix the issue (at least today) that there's no charge, wouldn't accept payment. Told me to let him know how it goes and fingers crossed that fixes the issue. Well, it did. Went to a local shop and paid $50 for the A/C system to be flushed. It's blowing ice cold now! This is another example of why I trust local services over national chains. Reputation matters. I will say one negative, and it's something to consider before contacting him - he is always backed up with work. Same for the other local mobile mechanic. Not making excuses, because it can be annoying when people don't get back to you quickly, but in this case I'd happily take the delay in getting him booked because his knowledge and honest work is well worth it. If it's a pressing matter maybe go with a local shop with quick availability. It being an A/C issue was something I could wait on (plus have a second car). Has a customer for life here. read more

Update* My review is 100% real. I don't want people thinking Brian is having people post fake reviews to boost himself up. He really is an honest and reliable mechanic. I guess I should have mentioned the work he did. He fixed my water intake pipe, brand new radiator, coolant, and thermostat. He went out of his way to get the thermostat when they gave him the wrong one, and spent an hour and a half to pick up a radiator. He even let us ride with him since we had no where else to go at the time. I don't spend my life reviewing every place I go to and every person I do business with, just those that exceed my expectations :) I just started out my road trip from SoCal to Seattle when my carbroke down. Wasted 40 bucks at PepBoys to have them tell me what was wrong (they were wrong too). Decided to look up mechanics nearby and found Brian. He was able to get the parts and meet me the next day. The problems I told him that PepBoys told me were wrong and he found other stuff that needed to be fixed and was able to gt those parts by the following morning. It added some extra adventures and stories to tell my friends. Sure made my trip interesting and the work he did was great and the prices were definitely fair. My other favorite mechanic now. I hired him to inspect and install wiring on my jeep Frankly it took way to long to inspect not much was done and the job was left unfinished for several weeks then he canceled on me at the last minute and said he had to help someone out of town install a water pump I waited two weeks for him to come back and finish the job he offered to do it Sunday but still could not guarantee he could get it done when I had to wait 2 weeks for a Saturday appointment who does business like that I even explained to him I had to leave out of town with my truck apparently that means nothing I had to hire someone else and a big waste of time I was also expecting a nice service vehicle nope a little Jeep Wrangler with tools piled up in the back and very unorganized I AM VERY Unhappy and would never recommend his services to anyone read more

Brian is the best mechanic I have ever had(a side from my dad). He is so knowledgeable about every type of car. Being a girl, I don't get a lot of mechanics who take me seriously. He definitely values every customer and even walks me through exactly what isn't working, why it's not working, and what it does for the car when it is working. He's a great guy super friendly. He showed up expecting to just simply break pads but had to replace the roaters as well. He didnt charge me extra time despite the fact that my truck is a 95 but for some reason my pads are 94 and he had to make a couple trips to the parts store and I know he spent more time then he planned... but now my breaks work great and I already made another appt. Everything was so far so good with the mechanic he told me that he was going to show up at 12 on Saturday and it up being late and showing up around 3:30 which i didnt mind but by the time he checked out my engine he told me immediately that things were a mess. but also was saying that he noticed that noticed I had a lot of new parts within my engine btw my family, I , and the past owners of my current car have been keeping up on the repairs of my car and I knew that I just need it like a simple little tune up but I most definitely needed my wires and coils changed. he told me that the total price to get my wires changed would be $600 and that it would take 2 hours to get the job done. First off the wires that I needed to be changed were on top of my engine which are very easy to reach and does not take 2 hours to change them plus the wires that I need only cost about 40 to $50 each so I don't like the fact that he really thought he could play me n that i wouldn't catch on to what he was doing just cause I'm a young lady but I did end things very professionally with him I will say that I like the fact that he was nice and seemed cool but again he shouldn't have tried to take advantage of me and get some extra cash out of me for something small I've already spoke with my other mechanics and my mother who knows about cars and family and friends and co-workers who knows about cars and they all said the same that he is just straight-up trying to rip me off.so this will be my first and last time coming here which is a shame cause i did like the guys personality. read more
