The first automotive shop told me I needed new struts at $1200. My son took his car to the Car Doctors two months prior and liked the service, not to mention the two fresh carnations that they give you as a thank you for your business. So I took my car to TCD and Doug listened carefully to my issue and to how I explained the noise that my car was making. They took my car for a drive twice and could hear the noise I described. But when they put my car up on the lift, they couldn't hear or find the problem. But after process of elimination and keeping my car overnight to order the part, it was discovered that the problem was the axle. The next afternoon, I got a phone call that my car was ready and that the noise was gone and the problem was solved. Sure, we don't like leaving our car overnight but if they find the problem, it's 100% worth the inconvenience. Besides, Sue will shuttle you to and from your home while your car is being worked on. Tomvo Auto Repair did all new tie rods, rear brakes including new rotors ( which were warped badly and majorly contributing to the shaking problem when stopping), and charged me $692 for everything.
