Had some suredrive tires (Firestone brand) installed at the Newhall Firestone back in October of 2024 and they're now bulging. I called on Friday to Palmdale Firestone and spoke to DJ and explained the situation to him. He said to bring my car in and they'd be able to help me out. Fast forward to Sunday I arrive at around 9:30am and speak with a guy named Johnny who says I'd have to pay for an inspection fee? And then I ask why would I pay to have a vehicle checked for faulty tires that are from your company? Great guys here! I feel its typical for people who know nothing about cars (me) to be wary about going to mechanics in fear of either the cost, integrity, or work done. I was driving down to Palm Springs and heard a sound coming from underneath my car. I had no idea where we were but I called up the closest Firestone according to Google (God what would we do without cell phones...) I called them up and the guy said to bring it on over and they would check it out when I got there. Very cordial and hospitable. He could tell I was extremely worried and I am glad I put my trust into the kind voice over the phone. I drove the short distance to the shop and was filled with apprehension and anxiety. Worried about how much they would charge me, if something terrible was wrong, and how long they would keep us as we were already late to the event. When it was my turn at the counter I told him I was the girl that just called and he immediately led me outside so we could look at my car himself. He said they would have to put it in the air and it would cost me $20 to put it on the lift. I readily agreed and they helped me out. Thanks for being so helpful and honest DJ! Worst tire company. This location is ran as a Mom and Pop tire service but worse. They dont carry any parts and need to order everything from outside vendors. I had my tires aligned and needed a tire sensor replaced. One person in front of me and I still spent 5 1/2 hours at this place. They miss lead me on parts arriving and at the end said they dont know where the driver is and just did the alignment which took 45 min. Don't trust them, if anything needs ordered just go somewhere else. They told me every 30 min. the guy should be here any min. and would even call them too but to my surprise it was all a lie. I can't believe this name brand company gave you a chance to run their reputable name into the ground. Just be honest with your customers, offer suggestions, dont string them along. read more

Would leave 0 if possible. Replaced my car battery and lost steering ability . This was the nearest shop so i tried them out seeing as i had gotten my oil changes a couple times here. Was told i "probably fried my alternator when i made the changes" Fine. I took their word and agreed to pay almost 2k to repair. If i had any brains for cars id do the fix myself. Get a call the next morning that it still hasnt fixed the issue and that i "most likely" need to replace power steering unit. Upwards of 5k. I decline that repair and reluctantly pay out for the alternator to get my car out of shop. I go to the dealership and was told my battery only needed to be programmed , fixed under 400$. Called them back and the owner basically said tough luck, " but we already scrapped your part . But hey we can offer you some oil changes to ease the issue." Incredible.Im currently going through any means to dispute and resolve this. I hope nobody goes through this. read more

Stop by this place on the weekend they were really busy, I had a flat tire leaking fast on my front tire. DJ Baker said he had no one to fix the tire but he would help me out. He was repairing my tire in between answering the phones and working the front desk while my son and I waited in the lobby. He removed a chunk of metal from my tire. On September 4, 2021 my husband took my ford fusion to Palmdale Firestone for routine oil change. While getting the oil changed he was informed the brakes needed to be replaced so we had the brake pads and hose replace, along with oil change for $212.98. Prior to this I took it to the Ford dealership for maintenance and had no problems at all with the running of my car. Then on Oct. 11, 2021 he took my car back because a check engine light had come on. After doing the diagnostic he was informed that the car had a bad ignition coil that was flagging the check engine light so they would need to replace all the spark plugs to fix and it was going to cost $350. When they finished we picked my car up. As I got on the freeway heading home I noticed my car jerking and it was getting worse. I immediately got off the freeway, called my husband, who called Firestone to let them know I was returning with my car. As soon as they opened the hood they could see that the spark plugs they installed were melting and they let me know they received a bad set of spark plugs and they were waiting on a better set of spark plugs to be delivered. Once they arrived they replaced the faulty spark plugs and I left. On Oct 31 after driving my car less than 1000 miles since the spark plugs were installed my car started to jerk again and flashed a warning that my engine coolant is overheating. First thing Nov 1 my husband takes it back in and this time they say its a blown head gasket and it's going to cost $2100. This is absolutely unacceptable, they have completely destroyed my car in 2 months. I don't trust this shop at all, the worst things about working with mechanics is when you come across the scammers in the industry. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They do not know how to handle business, they lie and like to pretend they can service foreign cars but the truth is they are not equipped. They literally will give you a list of what's wrong with your car and it's not true, I know from personal experience and by getting 3 different opinions, which turned out to be true, nothing was wrong with my car until I allowed these fools to service it. I no longer own that car and I blame Firestone for the lack of knowledge and communication. My advise it to take it to a mechanic who has a passing grade, this location is not BBB accredited due to the fact they do not meet the standards to be considered a good shop. Not even playing! It's the absolute BEST deal in town if you off road or race your car on the track and need multiple alignments per year. Took my car to get an oil change, originally I got told 70$ and I got charge 100$. But the problem was, I was on a highway. The drive was 6 hours long and pops out my oil drain plug. I called and spoke with another gentleman, whose name escapes me at the moment, and he told me that it was probably another puncture because of all the rains we had, it may have pushed junk into the streets and I ran it over. I've been coming here since I first got my car, three- almost four years ago. I ALWAYS come in for oil changes, I've gotten tires, brakes, rotors, filters--- the list goes on... I went to go get my oil changed somewhere that was close to my work, I'm in desperate need of one. The people couldn't do it because the last people to do my oil changed SHOVED a plug BIGGER than the one my car has, and has it stuck.
