The guy at the front desk was very rude and obviously doesn't want to be there. I came in at my appointment time and said as much. He just stared at the computer and indicated I wasn't in the system. When I repeated my details he found it with the last name spelled wrong and the wrong first name. I had to repeat my details a couple times. It took almost 90 min for a front end alignement and it was $150+ (other shops quoted between $99 and $125). The same guy was rude on the phone when making the appointment. The guy who worked in the car was friendly but tried to disparage work that was recently done on the car by another shop that we trust. Would not recommend this place at all read more

I called and ordered the two tires I needed last Monday, the guy on the phone took the order and said he'd call me later in the day or Tuesday when they came in. I called late Tuesday afternoon to check in and yep they had them there, just didn't reach out. I took the first available appointment, Friday afternoon at 2 and took a half day to get there on time. I give them my keys and sit in the waiting room. After 5 minutes they realized they wouldn't be able to do tires and an alignment as there was a truck on the lift waiting for the owner to decide on brakes. At this point i'm frustrated but agree to come back Monday afternoon to do everything all at once. They and I agreed this made most sense. Today (Monday), I get there, give them my keys and they do my tires. Once the tires were done they took my car off the lift and tell me i'm all set. I remind them they still have to do the alignment and the guy tells me they can't do that part today because the tech was now off the clock... the tech referenced was the one who set up my new appointment for this day and time... they advise me to come back a third time to do my alignment. I've now come and gone from this Monroe location twice without an alignment, and will not be back. read more

My car needed an emissions test and they had an appointment right away. The staff was quick and let me know it would only take 5-10 minutes. I forgot cash, so do remember to bring it. Booked an appointment for 9:30 with confirmation in my email get there at 9:15 to be told there is no appointment to come another day. I clearly have the confirmation I know there were racial discrimination in why I was treated this way. Stay away from this place if you are a person of color. Ray is the name of the employee. So we bring a tire here to be mounted and balanced. Pick it up and when we go to put it back on the car we see it hasn't been balanced but they charged us for the balancing. Call the location and have to bring the tire back. They say they are going to balance it right away. Can't go back the same day. The next day I go to pick up the tire and....ITS STILL NOT BALANCED! Guy at the desk was hella rude and told me that it's not a priority, he's rushed and I can wait for the tire. Only I can't wait, he's got customers ahead of me who know how long it will be. I had a flat tire which AAA pumped up. The next day I made an appointment with Monro. Even though I was an hour late they still found time to check the tire. They were quick and efficient. Walked in at 6:30, Open sign was on and posted hours say they're open until 7pm. Young man asked how he could help me and I said I wanted the $9.99 oil change. He said "Oh, we're closed." Let me start by saying that I was told by a dealership that I needed a new tire, that my brand new tire had 2 nails in it and could not be fixed. I needed to pay for another new tire and alignment. At the suggestion of a friend I went to Monro for their opinion. The gentleman took my car right in. Came out, told me it can be fixed and how much it would cost. He fixed it and I was done in no time. They were honest, efficient and personable. I will be going back next time I am in need and definitely recommend them. read more

You guys are awesome. My oil change was quick and care free. And at a bargain at that. No up-sale or gimmick which is a first. He even quoted me on tires (that I know I need to replace soon). Which was a nice surprise as nobody ever has them in stock. I have to take a moment to write a review for the Monro in Clinton, Ct. I have had great personal experience here. I go online, schedule an oil change at my convenience. The schedule is almost always accommodating. I work 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday like most people, so I think that is pretty great. I almost always get a call back immediately following up. I print out a coupon from the website. Every time I'm in and out in under 45 minutes. $20 plus tax and I get a oil change, fluids topped off, tires checked and new windshield wipers. Every 2, 800 miles I do it again. read more

I hate looking for new professionals, but in this case, I think I found a new mechanic. Took my car for an oil change and a mysterious rattling noise. They found a problem with the exhaust system and brakes. However, they did not just tell me about the problems, they took me into the bay to show me what they found. They also answered all of my questions. Because the work was going to take a while to complete, they drove me home and, when the work was finished, they picked me up in my own car so I could test drive it before paying. One small adjustment later, and I was on my way. Mike even called the next day to make sure all was well. I would recommend them highly. read more

These guys will overcharge you on everything. I've gone here a lot and have had different prices for an oil change. My last straw was I wanted to see if they were crooks I got an oil change, came back month later (driving less then few thousand miles) for an "oil change" and no one said I didn't need another oil change since it is synthetic and all should last longer then month. Brought car in because ABS light was on. I was told that I need new brakes, rotors and a sensor. Estimate was 1500.00. I knew this sounded ridiculous. I went somewhere else and found that I don't need brakes at all, just the sensor. It's scary how this company is allowed to rip people off. read more

This review should actually be zero stars, as the experience we had there with an employee named Vinnie, was horrible... Rude, obnoxious and offensive behavior, meanwhile he was raking an elderly gentleman over the coals by over charging and taking advantage of him! We quickly pulled our vehicle out of there without continuing any further with this idiot! Don't waste your time, go to a reputable garage and get treated with respect and don't get ripped off! Worked with Judd there today -- he was amazing! I was worried my brakes were failing but was only in town for 24 hours. These guys did a super thorough job identifying the problem (not the brakes), even tho I wasn't in town long enough to have them do the work that was needed. I posted a review from being lied to and ripped off by Monroe Muffler in Clinton just last week and you did not post it. I reviewed my bill today and ai was overcharged by 111.00 plus tax so 118.05. To Yelp and Monroe Mufflers don't have a comment section if you use it to deceive people. I was ripped off. I am openly warning people and you are helping this location steal and deceive. My comment better show up. And ai don't need some talking head to intercept this and send me an email asking to call to discuss it. It is my comment on my experience.
