Have used Monro where I used to live and had good service for the most part. Tried this location after a local mechanic I asked to buy and replace new tires for my vehicle basically fumbled the ball. The guys at this Munro were on top of it. They were able to meet the price I had from online and were able to get the specialty tires I wanted within a day and had everything mounted and balanced. The spare tire was delayed by their supplier and they were great in communicating and getting the spare done the next day. read more

Even though this place has lower cost oil changes than competitors, don't go here. They totally botched the job on an oil change and didn't screw the oil filter into place. Hi, I had an 2:30 appointment today at your Hudson,NH location for an oil change and was going to see if they could also do shocks/struts they had quoted last time. So here's the problem I walk in I'm the only one in the waiting area 10 minutes goes bye and if the phone didn't ring the guy never would have came out. Then he tells me he can't take me in they are too busy ( I made an appointment for a reason) He says if you wait it will be a long time. Stopped by yesterday to ask for how much it costs for an oil change, full synthetic, for my car Make Model Year. The 'manager' said "hmmm....... it would be about $58" too f*n' lazy to even look it up on his 'computer'. I said are you sure? He said "Yes, about $58". Just like that.... Panic! Crisis! Fuel line split, dripping a copious amount of gas on the driveway! They took the car immediately and fixed and returned it in less than 24 hours. And upon initial inspection found a second problem (no wonder it'd been feeling 'off' at highway speeds!), and fixed that too. And, no, it didn't cost a fortune. Could they've done more? I called ahead of time to confirm and they said "Yes come in and give us the last name (the name i provided) and you will be all set. So i send my husband in and the manager mark denies we had a free oil change. So i call and he claims my husband was "demanding" a free oil change and that they had nothing on record and that my husband and i were rude. So now we are rude for walking in and politely asking for an oil change? Even other customers that were waiting were shocked at how rude the manager was to my husband. We wont be back which is fine there are lots of places to change your oil but the fact that this man has no clue how to manage employees and offer a system to track refunds and then is MAD at me over it is disgusting and poor business. read more

I have been coming to Hudson NH for years and will never stop. The manager Gary is wonderful, knowledgable, trustworthy with great customer service skills. Todd is wonderful also with great skills. I'm a 63 year old grandmother and never once felt pressured or charged for more the what was needed. I went there today for a tire pressure problem that kept happening and Gary took the tire cleaned the rim and resealed it to perfection. I've just started trusting my car to Monro Muffler Brake and Service staff. I've had my Mini Cooper serviced there twice now, once for a big ticket item, and couldn't ask for better service. Let's just say they've gone above and beyond the call of duty helping me out each time. I won't give specifics because then their customers might expect that service all the time. I take back my review. These guys are morons. They failed my car because they thought I had an aftermarket header. It was the factory exhaust, you could see the primary cat right in the enginebay they never looked. They suspected I had an altered exhaust because of the louder factory catback exhaust. This is a TRD(Toyota) part. Its D.O.T compliant. Otherwise the dealer can't sell it. It does not remove any catalytic converters hence why its called a catback exhaust. They failed me for unlawful ride height. They never even measured it? My car has a factory sport suspension. Yes it is lower, not lower than lawfully allowed otherwise it couldn't be sold in NH. Again, morons with "ASE" patches are the most expensive. They even had me pay for the failed inspection. I drove my car to Toyota of Nashua, they gave me a soda, donuts and passed my car without any problem. read more

I've been getting service here for a few years. I've always had a very good experience. Recently I experienced a flat tire. I brought my car in and Tristan was very welcoming and took my car in immediately (I was on my way to work and hoped he could service my car sooner than later)! Josh was the technician and found a screw in my tire he showed it to. Tristan and Josh told me my options and repaired quickly and efficiently. Their customer service was tremendous and their rates are excellent. I get my oil changes here and had my brakes replaced about a month ago here. I only went here because they had a promotion running for a tire rotation, oil change, and free wiper blades for $20. That said, nothing about the place is really THAT great. I asked them to give me a call when it was ready to be picked up, didn't hear anything, then showed up an hour later to find out the car had been done for 20 minutes. I have been taking my cars to various repair shops over past 25 years. This is the first place that treated me right and I mean it. Mark (Manager) and Ian you guys are the best. I was doing my own struts replacement. I used their service to replace springs from old strut to new strut. Ian advised me how to remove lower control arm when I was stuck. After I did all my own work there was a metal click noise from passenger side. I took my car to Monro and they put it on lift, tightened the bolts. Test drove twice with me to identify source of noise, free of charge. Thank you guys this is what a good customer service is and you have got my business now. At check out I was advised that they didn't have any more patches in stock and that they had to go to a nearby Walmart to get a slim Jim style patch which are not DOT approved as I understand. Got the dreaded call from my daughter about car trouble while trying to get dinner of course. I went to help, called AAA who were excellent. Got the car dropped off at Monroe and called them to let them know and if they could do a quick oil change (she added way too much). When we got there they help push the car into the bay and went to work. They even stayed late and saw her muffler had a serious problem at the joining flange and worked on that for a while. Monroe put transmission oil in my oil, and vise versa, and destroyed my transmission. The they tried to deny I came there on the day it happened, even though I have paper work. Now they are trying to deny responsibility, even though 3 mechanics confirmed, including therr insurance adjuster. I have been 2 months without my car, while they string me along. Went in on 9/27/18 to get brakes checked, they were squeaking. Picked up my car later that day and paid $593.00. Noticed the same squeaking but not as loud. They didn't change my rotors they resurfaced them and changed 1 brake pad. Noise got louder the following week. Went back with my husband, and only after he flipped out on them did they take a look again. Resurfaced right front again. Skip ahead a few months. I needed all new brakes and rotors with a $700.00 bill. Thanks for wasting my time AND money. I will NEVER go to this place again. read more

I walked in asking for a very simple and common routine maintenance job: an oil change. I was the only customer and there were two staff members who later both work on my car (Remember, 2 people and only one car.) We agreed at about $35 for conventional oil + filter + general inspection. They took the car and both went in working on it. In a remarkably short time (I don't know like ~10-15 minutes or maybe less), the guy came out and said the car is ready! He checked me out, I paid and got the paperwork that states what they have done. I took the car driving home where I noticed a very strong smell coming inside the car from the outside; it smelled like something was burning. I got home in the parking lot where I noticed a huge amount of smoked coming out of the engine area around the hood. I opened the hood to discover that there is a huge mess of spilled oil all over the right side of the engine under and around the oil cap and some over the exhaust manifold. It was a real mess. As I was wondering what really happened, it occurred to me that they might not have actually done an oil change; so I checked the oil filter, and to my surprise it was the same old and dusty filter I had before! They did NOT even bother to change the oil filter. Now to be clear, my car's oil pan plug has a minor leak (of course, the oil pan is all the way on the bottom and the plug is facing down so it doesn't drip on the engine nor does it drip on any other part of the car.) And I haven't changed my car's oil for a long time (probably more than a year). So because of those small drips from the oil pan plug, the engine oil was already low (certainly below half the required amount). Therefore, what I think they did is literally just top the old oil with a new oil!! I immediately drove back to the shop to figure out what exactly happened. I directly asked the guy whether or not they actually replaced the oil filter or not, and he acted a bit confused and pretended that they did. I asked him to come with me to show him the oil spill and the old oil filter that is still in place. He couldn't deny it. Then he actually admitted that the other guy spilled the oil when he was trying to fill it in. They just didn't bother to tell me and now I know why!!! So, he asked me to "come on Monday and get the whole job redone again with full synthetic oil." Really?!! Seriously?! I've been here in and around Kent for more than 7 years, I've never seen such blatant and shameful act of deception. And for what? $35? Really?! How cheap do you have to be to rip people off for such a simple and small job?! There is no way I'm coming back after this demonstration of incompetence and fraudulent activity. I don't trust you. And as awful as this experience is, I really hope that the reason is really because you're cheap and not because of my name, language, or skin color. And as much as I hated and hesitated to write such a review especially for a local business, I'm obligated to share my experience so others can pay attention and make sure that they are getting what they are paying for. This is not acceptable. There is no reason that would justify what you did. The store wasn't even busy so I can think of a justification for what happened. It was clearly intentional and an in-your-face deceitful conduct. All you cared about is the money; you can keep them. What a shame! read more

I have always brought my car to Monro in other locations and been happy with the service, but this one is the most unprofessional that I have ever worked with. I went for a conventional oil change (because they're always cheapest for that) and when I went to get my car they lost the keys. Where were they? In another customer's car that was about to be picked up. I was appalled at this kind of inattention to their work. After this, I have since called to get a quote for other work on my car and the way they calculate this was not to look in the system and decide by the vehicle and job, but to yell across the shop to another mechanic asking what they typically charge for the job. They are the most unprofessional mechanic I have been to yet and I have been to a lot of different mechanics over the years. I will keep going only for conventional oil changes because of the price, but even then I will try to find a more professional mechanic to do business with. read more

I am very annoyed. I went to have my ac fixed yesterday and he told me it just needed a recharge. I got the recharge and the ac worked for a day. Now it is blowing out hot air and he told me I need a compressor and he thought that yesterday. Why didn't he tell me that yesterday. I went to see if he could look at it today and he said no they were too backed up. I am annoyed since the ac should have been fixed yesterday and it is not working today. read more
