Monserate Winery is such a nice addition to Fallbrook. Hopefully soon GPS will be updated to tell you how to get to it but that fact that is is currently off is not their fault. The have plenty of parking which I always appreciate. The service was great and there is both a tasting bar and tables inside. The outdoor patio is the spot to be. It is beautiful! There are also cute seating areas further out in the grass. The food is also good so you should make sure to enjoy some with your wine. read more

We went to Monserate Winery on a Monday afternoon and were helped by Miguel for our tasting. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all of our wine selections and made thoughtful, personalized suggestions based on our preferences. Despite also taking care of a large table seated outside, he remained attentive, cheerful, and made us feel like a priority the entire time. His passion for the wines really came through and elevated the whole experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and scenic, making it a perfect afternoon. Monserate Winery! My husband and I are Fallbrook locals. We recently became members, and are overjoyed! Award winning vibrant and complex wines, paired with delicious food in their beautiful restaurant is a wonderful place for us to entertain out of town guests, and local friends and family alike! This, along with the incredible service and ambiance are above par from all of our local wineries here in Northern San Diego. As an interior designer, I especially appreciate their crisp, fresh, contemporary rustic Tuscan decor! Dining amidst this beauty must tries: All of the salads are excellent, LOVE the Marry Me Pasta, and the mushroom pizza is a fave- but honestly their wood fire pizzas are all excellent! Monserate is a beautiful winery with really good wine. The setting is gorgeous, with outside seating areas or space in the tasting room to enjoy. But the service is what really sets it apart. On my most recent trip, I brought my mom who is new to wine, and Darius expertly helped us choose a wine that she now absolutely loves. Beautiful winery and they are really creating something beautiful across the land such as a new event area, good food and restaurant in the future but the best part really was the stellar wine. This place used to be great but its no longer a winery its a wedding venue. You used to be able to hang out by the pond and walk the grounds but not anymore. You are not allowed into these areas unless you are attending a wedding. Now you have to sit in a court yard and your only view is a water fountain. The vibe has completely changed. I understand its a business and weddings make you money but they ruined it for everyone else. I gave 2 stars because the wine was good and staff was nice. read more

We joined the members club over a year ago. It has been so amazing! The food, the service, all the staff, the ambiance... everything is spectacular at the Monserate. Oh and the wine is delizioso!! From the friendly staff to the amazing food to the lovely atmosphere, and then the incredible wines--WOW! A fabulous way to spend my birthday with friends and family. Highly recommend the La Bianca pizza that was just beyond delicious. Their truffle fries are a must-have every time. Sophia in the tasting room was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, adding to our tasting experience. Edon provided top-notch customer service with a smile. We moved to Fallbrook a year ago and have been excited to try the lovely wineries up here. I've very much looked forward to trying Monserate based on the gorgeous pictures and good things I'd heard. My husband, children and I saw that Wednesdays were family-friendly so we headed over. My hope was to see the venue, try the yummy-looking food and wine and seeing that there was both a restaurant and new tasting room, have an indoor place to beat the almost 90° heat! As we walked up we certainly were impressed with how beautiful the scenery was. We were greeted by the hostess who immediately let us know that our kids wouldn't be able to go inside anywhere since they weren't 21 but could sit outside. Completely understand the liquor laws, but also was disappointed to know I wouldn't even be able to temporarily walk my baby through the ac in the tasting room. We sat just outside of the tasting room on the patio to be near the open door and catch the cool air (since we didn't have a reservation we were told we had to wait till 1pm to sit in the restaurant) but when we wanted to order food we were told we had to go back to the hostess stand, where we were told we actually couldnt eat food on the tasting room patio (not sure why) so had to be sat in the courtyard, but to actually order food had to THEN walk over to another space by the members area to order the food (and if that felt lengthy or annoying to read, it is sort of how the experience felt). When we asked if there were restrooms we were told there was one kids could use that was further away and a closer one kids couldn't use because it was in the members bar. The experience felt confusing, restrictive and not at all seamless. The customers shouldn't haven't to keep getting up and moving tables or be told that certain days are kid-friendly when it doesn't feel that way at all. The food was delicious, the space is gorgeous and the employee who served us in the tasting room was sweet and the most helpful staff member we interacted with. My impression is that the space is new and a lot of kinks still need to be ironed out operationally to make it a more cohesive experience. Being able to eat food on the tasting room patio, and having severs come to take your food order would be a helpful start. read more

The restaurant is amazing. The salad had fresh mozzarella that was delicious. The truffle pizza is a must-have. The wine slushy was really good. If the machine is running you need to grab one. The only reason I have one star off is due to the wine selection. They only had two sweet wines, neither of which were sweet, just not as tart, they were just sparkling. The service with Daniel was amazing he explained the wine selections well. On the other hand another of the wine tenders a woman never even offered a taste of the wines. A family-owned winery in Fallbrook, California. Our future plans include an old Italian style restaurant, wine-tasting room, and barrel room. These three buildings will surround a beautiful courtyard and overlook the vineyard and rolling hills. In addition, across a babbling creek will sit an Italian villa nestled amongst the oaks and bordering the lake. Finally, a rustic barn and courtyard will complete our vision. Estate Wines: Our wines at Monserate Winery are estate grown and bottled here in Fallbrook, California. We take pride in producing quality wines and pay close attention to every detail. Italian Wines: We grow a total of 16 grape varieties at Monserate Winery, featuring many Italian varieties. The temperate coastal climate of Fallbrook closely resembles that of provinces in Italy, making it a perfect match for Italian varieties. History

Established in 2016.

Monserate Winery began with a desire to preserve the beauty and integrity of Gird Valley. For 56 years, the beautiful 116-acre property was a public golf course, dotted with 100-year-old oaks and towering sycamore trees. After falling on hard times, the golf course closed. We had a vision to revitalize the land and create something incredible that would also enrich the lives of the surrounding community, and thus, Monserate Winery was born. We have been hard at work to bring this vision to life since 2016 and have made a lot of progress. Today, Monserate Winery boasts breathtaking vineyards, tranquil lakes and spectacular scenery. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we stay true to our original vision: Commitment: Strive for excellence in everything we do. Conservation: Preserve the beauty and integrity of the land. Community: Give back to our neighbors, near and far.

Since my wife and week-old baby were waiting in the air-conditioned car, I brought them inside to sit with me. Shortly after we sat down, a family dining nearby noticed our baby and struck up a warm conversation. A moment later, one of the women from the family came over to congratulate us and offered us some fresh pastries. She returned to our table with two pistachio-filled croissants and two espressos--a gesture that, given our level of sleep deprivation, couldn't have been more appreciated! I later learned from Bella that this incredibly kind woman was Valeria, a member of the Giuseppe family who owns the restaurant. As for the food itself, we got the Gloria sandwich on focaccia. It is honestly one of the best sandwiches we've ever had--so good that this was actually our second time ordering it in three days! I cannot thank Valeria, Bella, and the Giuseppe family enough for their exceptional hospitality and generosity. The food was delicious, and the service was just as impressive. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well worth waiting for. Our server was attentive and friendly, and even with how busy the restaurant was, we never felt rushed. You can tell there's a reason this place has a wait. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and even better food. I'd absolutely come back next time I'll just plan on putting our name in and enjoying downtown while we wait! I completely neglected to take photos, but for once, that was actually a good thing. We were enjoying a true date night without phones or interruptions, just good food, conversation, and each other. Due to yelp limitations this review is in 2 parts (this is part #1) . Monserate has only been opened about 10 months, given that it is near my home and new, I tried it 3 times before giving it a 2 star review. It only gets that many because it is a gorgeous location. I was hoping to make it a regular hangout spot but unfortunately I don't think I'll give it another try until the permanent building is finished (and that's been dragging out for years). My first visit was with a few girlfriends, we arrived to a temporary outside bar with a food trailer pizza oven and a temp building that looked like two storage containers put together with a bar and bathrooms in it, no tables or anything else, so we had to sit outside (it was a cold breezy day but they did have heaters). We each got the tasting card with 8 wines and was disappointed right away that they don't have wine flight holders of some sort. It's extremely hard to enjoy a chat, when you're all getting up at different times to get in line for another tiny pour, not to mention all the children running around screaming didn't help the girls day conversation. I would suggest the owners designate a family area since this lovely property now has more than one event space. The first wine on the tasting card was a Fiore it was the only wine any of us liked, the Pinot Noir just tasted like alcohol, the Petite Sirah had no tannins at all. The rest of them were mediocre, at best. The wines are simply young and tight. I pray they get better as the winery ages. The food on my first visit was good, the servers were obviously still in training but trying, the Chef was friendly and knowledgeable. My Second visit was a few months later with the hubby. We again got the 8 wine tasting card because they had released some new/different wines I thought we would give a try. I was once again completely disappointed (in my husbands words, all the wines are just hairy), the food and service was worse, it seems they lost the original Chef and the staff still wasn't trained. We ordered a charcuterie board, the server just dropped it off and walk away, no explanation of what was on the board, didn't give us plates, napkins or any utensils to serve ourselves with. The board only came with two pieces of bread drizzled with balsamic glaze (not enought to enjoy the entire array of meats, cheeses, and condiments with), although the bartender we ordered from said we would get a basket of crackers as well. I was trying to figure out what an item on the board was when I over heard the table next to us doing the same thing so, we decided to get up together and find out, the bartender told us it was pickled grapes (It was not). The server told us it was a different kind of olive then the other olives on the board (It was not). The tasting room manager, whom just seemed annoyed with us taking her attention away from the young bartender she appeared to be flirting with (her face looked like it was constantly trying to stop an eye roll every time one of us spoke) took us to the food trailer, where the cook went inside and came out with the jar of caperberries, mystery solved! I then turned around to thank the tasting room manager for giving us a moment of her time but she had already slinked away (obviously she had enough of us inquisitive ladies). read more

My husband and I had our wedding at Monserate Winery's new venue, Villa de Fiore, in July. I want to start off by saying, the entire property itself is absolutely GORGEOUS. Before choosing this venue, we had toured a lot of other venues in SoCal and nothing else compared to the sheer beauty of the architecture and natural surroundings here. Everything about the property makes you feel like you have been transported to the Italian countryside. The buildings were beautifully designed to enhance the natural greenery and there is an overall feeling of elevated elegance. Throughout the entire planning process, the wedding and events staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed in order for the big day to run smoothly. Our venue coordinator was Carissa, and we also worked with Josh at times, both of which were pleasant and accommodating, continuously going out of their way to ensure we were happy. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and all of our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful the setting was, the friendly staff, the delicious drinks and wine, and how perfect the layout of the entire venue was. We wanted an indoor-outdoor feel, which was exactly what Villa de Fiore offered with the large sliding glass doors into the reception space. Our guests also noted the small details like the walking path around the pond leading to the welcome table, the ceremony in front of the trees, the pond with a fountain, the expansive courtyard for cocktail hour, and the adjoining built-in bar. I would highly recommend Monserate Winery to any other couples looking for the elegant, Italian feel right here in Southern California! This event stood out from any winery gathering I've experienced before, as it offered a unique format with members attending in one of three sessions, rather than all at once. This thoughtful arrangement created a serene and uncrowded atmosphere that truly enhanced the experience. Everything from parking and check-in to seating and enjoying food and beverages was seamless and hassle-free, making the day utterly relaxing. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff, efficiently checked in, and presented with drink tickets. We were also informed that our quarterly wine purchases would be ready for pickup at our departure, adding a nice touch to the experience. Guests were offered a delightful choice of wine to sip while indulging in an exquisite charcuterie board. Additionally, there were three delectable ice cream options served in cups or cones. Against the backdrop of lush vines, a talented musician played soothing jazz on the saxophone and flute, setting the perfect tone as we dined alfresco and engaged in lively conversations with fellow members in the picturesque cottage and its adjoining patio. Beautiful Venue, Disappointing Service for Large Groups We visited Monserate Winery today with a group of 18 guests, excited to enjoy the restaurant and support the business. While the venue itself is beautiful and the initial water service was prompt, the overall experience was unfortunately marred by poor service and lack of attentiveness. After placing our consolidated food order to make things easier for the staff, dishes began arriving--but no one returned to check on the table or clear empty plates. They piled up quickly. The server eventually removed one stack and never came back. I personally brought dishes to the hostess stand twice to raise the issue. On both occasions, the staff seemed disengaged, and the second time I was told, "please stop doing that," without any follow-up or assistance. Despite multiple employees walking past our table, no one stopped to check in or offer help. Additionally, no one took drink orders at the table. All guests had to walk outside to the bar to get their own drinks, which is unacceptable for a seated dining experience--especially for a large party. We brought a sizable group and spent generously, but the lack of basic hospitality and accountability was disappointing. Monserate Winery may look impressive, but the management and service need serious attention. Until then, I would not recommend it for group dining or events. read more

I give the staff in the tasting room five stars! They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The server was not wearing gloves and put his thumb in my mediocre Caesar salad which is normally very good but today the romaine was yellow and on the verge of going bad and the chicken seemed microwaved instead of the usual grilled chicken. The server also pulled out water cups apart with his non-gloved hands putting his fingers inside the cup (yuck). The typically fabulous homemade Caesar dressing seemed bottled today. They typically good pizza was lacking too from the dough to the margarita toppings which consisted mainly of just cheese and a few less than fresh basil leaves and no tomatoes slices whatsoever. What gives guys? I usually do not mind over paying for your okay wine-for-price since your food is usually excellent; but today disappointed, especially on a slower week day on Valentine's Day. read more

Monserate Winery was the absolute perfect place to host my bridal shower! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Tristan deserves a special shoutout for making everything so seamless. He helped coordinate the entire event from the very beginning and was there all day making sure everything ran smoothly. He was attentive, kind, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our guests and I were taken care of. The service was absolutely amazing, the food was incredible, and the setting was beautiful. They didn't have their normal menu TheyThey were having aThey were having a Father's Day event, but that was perfectly fine. We ordered a margarita, pizza, and a couple glasses of wine from the tasting room and our bartender Dannette. she was very knowledgeabl, funny, and just a joy too interact with while we were there. I was surprised to find out that she has only been there less than a month. She explained the wine clubs and we ended up joining and look forward to bringing our friends and family for a day in Italy.As that is what if felt like to us. I'm writing to share my disappointing experience during my recent visit to the winery. As a member since 2023, I've always enjoyed visiting with friends and family. However, my last experience was marred by unprofessional service from Leslie, the assistant wine club manager. When arriving for wine tasting, Leslie asked to see my driver's license, despite being a member and having previously only provided my phone number. Her tone and demeanor felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I felt disrespected, and unvalued!! Given my history with the winery, this experience left a bad impression. Unfortunately, I've decided to discontinue my membership. I hope you'll take my feedback seriously and consider training for staff on customer service, empathy, and inclusivity. Yesterday I visited for the first time with two friends and was blown away with the service, food, and ambiance! We sat on the comfy furniture on the lawn overlooking the lake where there was a cool breeze and great views listening to an awesome acoustic guitar player. The other guests we met were kind and only had wonderful things to say about their experiences at Monserate. Jacob was an amazing server, he was super thoughtful and knowledgeable! We loved the margarita pizza and two salads with the award winning Fiore (and I never drink white wine). Tristan provided a very thorough tasting indoors at the nearby tasting room and shared his enthusiasm for the wines he served. He is so very friendly and went out of his way to make our experience great. Helped us navigate ordering lunch in the courtyard and of course ordering a few bottles of wine to enjoy with lunch. So I do love that Monserate winery is here in Fallbrook and there is way more good than bad! But there are a few things that aren't that great being a member of this place. Here are the Pros: Beautiful grounds Events they host Pizza is delicious Cons: -The number of tastings you get as a member is less compared to wineries in the area, 4 per month. -They host pickup parties for members, first was free, they are now charging $10 per head.. Monserate made our daughter's wedding day absolutely perfect. The level of care, attention to detail, and the stunning location set it apart. We contracted with the venue before it was even built, and the final result exceeded our expectations. The staff and management, especially Josh, were outstanding. They don't sell food, but they often have pop-up vendors visiting, or you're welcome to bring your own munchies. Autumn, the Tasting Room Manager, is usually pouring their wines which are well made, balanced, and offer something for everyone. Their tasting menu always offers choices of slightly dryer, acidic white wines, or medium and full bodies reds. We were wine club members for a couple years and love the benefits of free tastings and 20% off their already reasonable bottle prices. They're also very flexible with the requirements of the club shipments, allowing you to skip as necessary. I highly recommend you visit this winery and experience their wines and hospitality for yourselves. TIP: You can reach out to them and set up a tasting in the back of the "cave's" private room, which will probably accommodate a group of 15-20 friends.

Their cute thing is that they use poker chips to turn in for your wine tastings. We also got a little marinera sauce with some dippers while we were tasting. There was at least 1 or 2 wines that we really liked, but it was our 3rd stop and we had to travel home with 2 other bottles of wine, so we ended up leaving with a bottle of the marinera sauce because it was that good. We had a wonderful time tasting everything, didn't feel rushed and Ben was really knowledgeable with any questions that we had. This was a great experience and a place that I would get both wine and snacks from.

I after some time of waiting I got up and left because I'm not giving my money to get treated so horribly. So sad because the place is beautiful. We ended up going to Frazeli's. At first they tried to seat us outside on tall top tables that would not work for wheel chairs. We were then moved to the way outback corner of the property with filtered shade and some misters. No help arranging table and chairs. Meanwhile they never offered to seat us in the air conditioned space when they could have easily accommodated our group. We then discovered that there are no food servers-you have to order food at the bar and then someone eventually delivers it in phases. Plastic hardware, condiment packages. There are MUCH better places to enjoy in Temecula.

We decided to follow through on the adventure, as we jumped into the car, dropped the top, and headed down a winding road toward the property. Upon arrival, I was thrilled to find the parking area was paved and the winery appeared to be new, perched atop a valley overlooking trees, vines, and green farmland. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner and staff with friendly smiles. After a brief explanation from the owner, we selected two tasting flights and took a seat outside to enjoy the view. Flight 1: 2024 Pinot Grigio, 2023 Rose, 2021 Red Blend, 2023 Muscat. Flight 2: 2023 Teroldego (Distant cousin of Syrah), 2022 Merlot, 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2021 Red Blend. The property was rustic yet modern, resembling a family room, living room, bar, and dining room, with a spacious outdoor entertainment area for all to enjoy, featuring sofas, coffee tables with fire pits, and end tables. Other seating options included picnic tables and beach chairs, perched at different levels along the cliff overlooking the vines and valleys below. On this particular day, it was quite windy, which made the outdoor option a bit chilly. This winery has food vendors, but allows patrons to bring food for on-site consumption. Overall, the experience was nice and relaxing, with gentle music playing in the background, allowing for pleasant conversations without the bar atmosphere typically found at wineries in Temecula. The wine was nice and refreshing, as we sipped and enjoyed the prosciutto, cheese, fruit, and chips we brought along. Adobe Hill is a definite return in the near future, having checked all of my favorable boxes.

We had a bottle of the 2021 cab and a 2021 red blend, and both were great choices. There was also a pizza vendor on-site, and the pizzas were amazing. Maddie took care of us and was incredibly attentive. Even though we were seated outside, she consistently came by to check on us throughout our three-hour stay, which we really appreciated and elevated our experience. The winery is a bit out there, but if you're in the area or looking for a great winery to spend a relaxing day, I highly recommend this spot.
