Skyway GroOut, stay away!!! Rude management! I went in today (4/13/22) to buy some wine (12…read morebottles) which was on sale (20% annual). There was a sign on the side of the building (see picture). As I completed my purchase I asked "Does that include the 20% off?" I was told, "No that ended yesterday." Although the banner was still clearly hanging outside the store. I asked to speak to the manager, she not only did not honor the mistake on the part of Grocery Outlet, but she said, "Too bad." As she walked away from me. I told her that was not good customer service. She shrugged her shoulders. This was an Asian woman, not sure if she is the day or night. But this woman said she was the manager. In my opinion they should have honored the mistake or even shown some empathy, "I'm sorry that happened, we should have taken the song down". Quickly after I left the store the same woman got a ladder and cut the sign down (see pic #2). I did NOT but the wine. I wonder does Jeff & Erin McNeil (owners) know the horrible customer service experience at their store?

We've found ourselves shopping more frequently at the Grocery Outlet on PAC Hwy. in Federal Way…read more Yeah, it doesn't have all the glitter and glamour of the big supermarkets, but they do have great prices. Picked up salmon several times already and the prices are great (cheap). Where most are charging $11.99-$19.99 for salmon, GO charges $9.99 a pound, and we've found the salmon to taste excellent. I always look for the freshest, fattiest pieces, though selection is limited due to quantity. I have an affliction for canned smoked oysters and GO carries my favorite brand, Polar. I prefer the regular vs the fancy canned ones. The price: $1.49 per can. Amazon advertises (sells) the same product for $2.49 per can. Most other stores charge around $2.19 per can. Apparently there are others who enjoy the product as GO is often times out of stock. Nice, helpful staff and there's always parking (handicap right close to the door).

This is how small my backpack is they wouldn't allow inside the store. Maybe 12 inches in height and 5 inches deep if that.

-First off, two weeks before Christmas, you need your managers to be capable of ringing up…read morecustomers. It'd be nice if your floor people could run a register, too, but at the very least your managers should assist and not allow a line of 20 people. Oh sorry, we only have one cashier, is not acceptable when your line is going down the entire store. Don't close out all the tills in the freaking store at 8pm when you know you're gonna be busy until closing time. It's just common sense. Don't admonish your cashiers that they should "make sure they're making announcements starting at 8:30". What needs to happen is the manager on duty actually show they have some leadership qualities and ASSIST the cashiers with the operations of the store, like making closing announcements when they see their sole (excruciatingly slow and rude) cashier has a long line. -Secondly, you cannot lock an entry door to a store when you have customers in a building. It is ILLEGAL because it's a clear hazard in case of an emergency. Completely against fire code and I will be reporting this to the city. My 13-year old got bored and went out to the car with my phone and couldn't get back in, hence why I can't attach photos. I guess I really shouldn't expect more. I interviewed with DT about 15 years ago for an Assistant Manager position and the District Manager basically told me he liked me but that his Store Managers didn't even make the kind of money I had been making in my previous position as a Department Manager at another retailer. So, I'm guessing these people barely make above minimum wage.

Visited Dealz4less as it was neat to stop by a bin store. They have bins of Amazon returns (open…read moreboxed items, new items) and bins of out of season or no longer carried Target items (Cat & Jack children brand clothing, Good Fellow men's clothing, Wild Fable women's clothing and Carters Just One You baby clothing). The concept is like the Save by the Bin store (Federal Way bin store), Cheaper by the Day (Lynnwood bin store), Valley Liquidation (Tacoma grocery store) or Discount Direct (Tukwila merchandise store) where there is purchasing and reselling of items from various retailers (Amazon, Target) Overall, the concept is neat and may save you some money. Dealz4less lacks price transparency, and pricing on items not necessarily clear. Tide detergent boxes were not priced I had to ask for pricing. Clothing in the bins are not that day's bin price (unlike the other bin stores); found out after I loaded a cart full of baby clothing (all new, never returned) to find out at the register that the lady will verbally price them when you are at the cashier. This can be frustrating if you spent a great deal of time shopping as bins are not organized like a typical store. A 3 pack of Carter onesies was priced $4 at the register, original price at Target was $12 according to the tag. Target clearance for clothing is 70% off before they sell off the inventory. I ended up putting all of the clothes back because I shopped at Target enough that I would generally catch those prices. Considering the time to sort the bins and unknown pricing until you get to the register, I wouldn't recommend the business from that aspect. Otherwise it might be interesting to see what is offered in the bins

So before heading there today (a 45 min drive) I called the available store number, which came up as someone's personal cell, who didn't answer the 4 times I called, so I decided to text the available number, and I got a message back stating they close at 6 PM...!?!? So.. before you head to their store in kent...make sure you verify if they're open, before driving there to be super disappointed. On the other hand, my buddy told us about this store and I guess it's a super rad store, so I'll be re-writing my review after our second visit today..fingers crossed!
