They have bad customer service. We went there and spent $40 but were told while checking out we couldn't have outside drinks since our son likes the hot chocolate better from another place in town. We decided not to go back. We won't miss this place especially since we don't support places that push the lgbt agenda down our throat. We saw a rainbow flag when exiting. Decided to give this place a try based on the positive reviews. Ordered the orange cardamom latte, one of their spring flavors. The flavor was bright, interesting and not too sweet. Montana Coffee Traders in Kalispell has a winning formula. They keep it simple and fresh. This basic formula results in delicious meals. Given the Valleys limited options for healthy let alone vegetarian or vegan options they are a staple option. You will not get any dirty looks or nasty tongue in cheek comments from staff or patrons. Used to eat here at least once a week years ago. Stopped in for breakfast not long ago. Had the vegetarian scramble. Mix in a little hot sauce and I am good to go. They are receptive if you have dietary needs, want a little more heat added, or any number of other tweaks to the basic meal. Just be prepared when you get to the counter. They tend to have a line in place at just about anytime I have been in. It moves quickly though. Self serve coffee is near the register. Milk, sugar, and spice is behind you near the door. Drink as much as you want. They have plenty to go around. Jut be careful of patrons moving about. Spilt hot coffee is no fun. Cost is a little on the high side for what your getting. I have come to deeply resent the lack of competition and tourist Dollars in the Valley overall. Which helps keeps some of the cost higher then what a similar or better meal would cost in a more competitive market space. read more

Hopping little coffee shop located right near the cute shops in Whitefish. Our group stopped here early before all the shops opened and had a great experience. Great quality coffee and a wide selection of menu options. I got a matcha latte that was good, slightly bitter, but was able to add honey to and it was perfect. Then we were able to grab some seating in the back and hang out for a bit before shopping. Great stop if you're looking for a great start to your day of shopping or for a break in between. First time here. The ambience is wonderful and welcoming. I had the veggie scramble.it came with toast and hashbrowns. The scramble had cauliflower in it which I liked. I also had the fizzy cold brew with their orange cardamom syrup. This is a drink to kill for. Their service was exceptional and we were taken care of very well. Great breakfast spot in Whitefish - we went here every morning on our trip to Glacier. They have excellent coffee and a varied menu with pastries, but the real winner was the bocadillos. These substantial grilled burritos were great fuel to start our day before hiking in the park. They had lots of cool Montana merchandise for sale as well. read more

This is my very favorite place to have breakfast, they have wonderful food, the staff is excellent and their coffee is the very best around. Their new location downtown is great. They do need to get changing tables in their restrooms to be family friendly- changing your baby on the floor is not something any parent wants to do, otherwise this place is a great family-friendly place! read more

On a 5 day trip to Whitefish I am happy to say I had a cappuccino from Montana Coffee Traders at least 2x a day everyday. I wanted to try other things but honestly the cappuccino was so so so good that I could never bring myself to order anything else. 8 oz oat milk cappuccino is my go to it's 2 shots of espresso and the perfect amnt of milk strong and delicious. Stopped in here on the way to GNP... This is a "must eat" breakfast spot the day before you get married and there is a solar eclipse. From their carabineer overhead order system to their general great disposition, this place hits the right marks! I highly recommend the omelets! Pretty cool coffee place that has an open door to clothing store next door. The coffee shop is pretty big. A large order was placed before we ordered and it seemed like they were trying to get that order done first which led to a really long wait for our order. However, the coffee was pretty darn good. There are nearly as many drive up coffee shops in this area as Starbucks in the city, Ignore all of them and find one of the Coffee Traders stores. There are four in the Flathead and two in or near Whitefish. Coffee Traders is not about drive up and drive off, this location is the local hub of the community, and with good reason. The coffee is great and prced right. and the service always good. the line can get a bit long from time to time but only because everyone knows there is no better coffee joint anywhere. I am so lucky because I have a store near my home and another crawling distance from my own downtown Whitefish store. By the way this location has some lunch items but for a real treat find the Columbia Falls location. If you are enroute to Glacier Park you have to go by it, stop in for lunch Some of the best food in the area. While you are at any of the location pick up a pound or four of Coffee Traders coffee beans. they are a fair trade company who's main business is roasting excellent coffee. There are many varieties available from around the world. Seriously if you come through the Flathead in Montana and don't go to Coffee Traders you have not really experienced the best of the area. read more

I L-O-V-E Montana Coffee Traders. It is one of my staples for favorite coffee of Montana. I love that their are so many local independent coffee shops but that a lot of people locally carry Montana Coffee Traders roasts. The Jitterbug is one of my favorite drinks EVER ! I am a huge fan of white coffee since I've been in Montana and I'm not sure whether or not I can get that here so the next time I am in I am going to find out. I haven't eaten here but I can't wait until I do because I've heard the food is amazing. I've also heard they do some kind of coffee tasting not sure how often but because they have so many roasts. A mountain town could not exist as a quaint little escape from normal life without a couple key components: a microbrewery with essential growlers and flavored beers (see huckleberry); microroaster of coffee; and perhaps a couple of sandwich shops and grungy watering holes. Montana Coffee Traders provides the folks visiting or passing through this relaxation mecca in Montana with small batch coffee, roasted by hand. Additionally, you can sit down and work here over a cup of joe. No bells and whistles here. You will not find 10 different ways of brewing, what with so many pretentious shops (I fall into this category of caffeine snobbery...) cranking out cups of black artisan beans brewed using siphons, conical filters, and hand-pressed elbow grease. MCT also acts as the abbreviation for medium-chain triglycerides, but for now, let us just rest in the appreciation of Whitefish hand-roasted small batch coffee beans! read more

This place is legit. The barista clearly cared about my latte, pulled a nice shot and payed attention while he frothed the milk. The first drink was sweet milk sugar and toasty espresso, the way it was meant to be. Thanks for being awesome barista guy. The drip coffee was great also, self serve. I served myself a bit to much and got jittery, to be honest. There's good food to be had here too. Get some baked goods, or order something hot and fresh. I like this coffee traders location. Its much more convenient for the Whitefish crew than any other coffee traders in the area since its right downtown. Four star review is for the sometimes painfully slow service from the coffee bar. The goods always come out great though. Also a great collection of trinkets to browse and free wi-fi. Great place to meet friends or colleagues. Definitely recommend it! read more
