Swift Creek Cafe delivered good service, a delicious meal, and an accessible location. I am gluten free, so we searched online for a spot with GF options and found Swift Creek. My reason for deducting one star is because we saw that their online menu included GF pancakes... but when we got there, the pancakes listed were different / they did not have a GF batter. I urge the business to update their menu with changes like this - as people who are GF often feel as though there's a lack of options for them, so saying you have something like that online and then you don't actually can be really disheartening. Nevertheless, I got the French omelette with greens and a side or GF toast with homemade cherry jam. The meal was delicious. My partner was also really happy with his breakfast steak sandwich. I'd recommend getting here on the earlier side if you want a comfy table, as we ended up having to sit at the high-top tables to which I found the seats a bit uncomfortable. Service was good, our waiter was nice & attentive. Overall, I'd come back to Swift Creek but I'd hope the business may take into consideration the gluten concern. read more

Staff was very limited with only one waitress but she did an amazing job. Our check was messed up a bit with another table merged with ours, but they fixed it promptly. Sunday Brunch at Swift Creek Cafe, a lovely little cafe with charm. I ordered the busicuits and gravy, Jan ordered the eggs bendict. The wait time from order to serving seemed extraordinary long. When our order was served, my gravey was cold to luke warm. The busicuits were excellent, and the taste of the gravey was excellent. The consistency of the gravey was perfect, and the volume of gravey was more than adequate. Jan's eggs Benedict was ordinary. There is nothing special about this dish to get excited about. I had ordered coffee, and my request for a refill never came. I asked a different server, and it did not come. As we were preparing to leave, the first server brought my refill. The cafe was not slammed, just moderately busy, and seemed adequately staffed. I believe that Swift Cafe has the potential to be very good with moments of culinary excellence, but that moment was not today. read more

My partner and I were in Whitefish for a month and ate at Swift creek many times! It was the only place in town that we felt was worth returning too honestly. Every dish they make is great, especially the more elaborate/unique dishes. The holiday hangover cure was a favorite, when they had it, which was only once or twice in our visits. It's a great space, with very small town vibes. My gripe is really to do with the very steep drop off in service when they get even the slightest bit busy. Stopped by today for breakfast. (Saturday morning after Thanksgiving). I chose this place because it had some unique menu items. The available items were different than I saw online, but the cuisine was similar. Started with coffee. The coffee was really good. Locally roasted - a little bright but not too much. I ordered a summer sandwich. This came with shredded corned beef. The corn-beef had a nice and warm flavor profile. The egg was was cooked with a little crispness to the egg whites and the yolk was a little over for me. The bun was soft and tender. Overall, I would order this again and maybe ask for the egg to cooked a little less. My wife ordered eggs Benedict. She said the hollandaise sauce was some "Fairmont quality" and one of the best she had had. Would recommend adding one more piece of Canadian bacon or a thicker slice. Overall, she would order this again too. Her dad ordered the Local. The bacon was delicious. Overall, he liked the dish and would order it again. The potatoes came with all three of our orders. They were a bit saltier than we usually salt our potatoes. We shared that with our server and she shared it with the kitchen. The flavor (seasoning) on the potatoes though was a nice flavor - just a bit salty for us. The space was clean, bright, and nicely decorated. It wasn't loud. The large windows in front let in a lot of welcomed light. Parking was easy today and the cafe is in easy walking distance for a lot of stores in downtown. It was a friendly atmosphere. Service was friendly, attentive to customer needs (more coffee, water, etc.). Customers included a couple of families with younger kids. We would definitely stop here again. This place is incredible. It is a bit small so you may have to get there early to get a table, but it's well worth the wait. We had one of be best Benedict's we have ever had and an equally impressive French omelette. The food comes out pretty fast and the staff is nice. Service at the door. We were told it would be a 5 minute wait, although 3 tables were open. After 10 minutes, another guy came in, hostess took him straight to one of the empty tables while giving us an oh well expression. It's been a while since I've come to Swift Creek and I hadn't tried the place with new ownership. I had always preferred Swift Creek over the other breakfast places other than that they stopped serving breakfast early. Their flavors are more complex and interesting. Its not the typical diner or breakfast fare. Now their menu is offered all-day with breakfast and brunch. So this is a totally 5 star place for me now because who wants to get up early for breakfast?? I've gotten hooked on the Corned Beef Hash, home made corned beef with the best potatoes you can find and a slightly spicy Hollandaise. The Fried Chicken and Biscuit is also a must try. It's a small seating area so eating here during tourist season is almost impossible. But if you live here you get to enjoy it more often. read more

My favorite restaurant we ate at in Montana! You walk in and the place smells incredible from the freshly made bakery items. Everyone in our four person group ordered a different item and raved about how good their dish was. We tried a bit of each other's food and the chicken biscuit with honey drizzled over it won as the fan favorite. However, I had the breakfast sandwich, which I'd also highly recommend. The buns were incredibly fresh, light, and added a lot to the entire taste. Apart from the amazing food, the restaurant itself was very cute and cozy. The owner who's also the head chef at the restaurant actually walked around to say hi and talk to each table. Turns out he has a long history in culinary training, including spending time in Paris where he learned pastry techniques. Definitely a spot you have to go to for brunch one day while in the area. read more

Very good food, but long wait, understaffed, and really bad front-of-house service... I left the experience thinking if the super hot all-female crew spent the same time thinking about customer service, as they did picking out their thigh-high daisy-dukes and tight shirts, this place might actually be a 5-star venue... The entire wait-staff is a customer service deer-in-headlights, oblivious and entitled cast from Mean Girls: zero concern for anyone. So keep this in mind: if you require literally ANY LITTLE DETAIL outside of the menu, you need to sit the server down, look very closely into their eyes, slow your speech down to one word per second, and don't use words larger than two syllables. Other than that; the food is very creative and very tasty. Medium portions but fair prices. The ambiance is very nice too. The coffee is also outstanding! The chef is a prince of a person and very gifted food-artist: after his staff failed him miserably with one of our guests, he came out to our table (without being asked) and humbly asked how he could make it better. Then he brought out a replacement dish of his own creation that was not even on the menu! Very cool. PROS: Great food Elegant/charming ambiance Excellent coffee Excellent home fries Excellent hollandaise sauce Food didn't take long to get served CONS: Obliviously entitled wait-staff that made my guests feel awful asking for anything - let alone the stuff we asked for that they didn't deliver. Long, 45-min wait to get seated Both omelet and home fries needed about 20% more on the portion: too much plate, too little food. Every coffee refill required asking the server! Zero server attention to the flow of the table. Every request made was failed: add bacon to omelet, add extra side of home fries, extra cream, etc. So, it's a tourist town and you're going to have a hard time getting seated anywhere. But be prepared for what awaits you here. Honestly, if you're the kind of people that order straight off of the menu and never have special requests, you'll probably just be fine. read more

My husband enjoyed his turkish eggs, and I definitely enjoyed my 7 Iron breakfast sandwich. I am not a big bacon fan; however, their bacon was delicious and didn't seem as oily and fatty as other bacon. I don't know why Swift Creek was not nearly as busy at Loula's, but I think they have some great options on the menu. Gave food/beverage order to 1st server; beverages never came. 2nd server brought food and we asked about beverages. 1 of 2 beverages was incorrect and 2nd server fixed it and said we won't charge you for it. 1st server brought our ticket charging us for the beverage. This adorable cafe has delicious food, amazing Panamanian coffee and incredible pastries. Met the chef and he is also super nice and friendly - he mentioned his father is from Panama and his family makes the coffee.
