As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a charismatic man who is the manager that helps open all the new Montana's restaurants. He had us laughing the whole time. Brad was his name and fun was his game. Love the vibe, it's nice to have another option for family dining in Fort Saskatchewan. Good food , great service , family friendly

This is apparently a very special Montana's. It is the 100th Montana's ever built and it is built in the new style the franchise is going forward with, which means no more man-cave-grimy-sports-bar decor. I will say I am truly surprised at how many vegetarian options they have. There is a veggie burger, a pasta dish, various meat free appetizers, salad (of course), and probably more! I had the veggie burger and the patty itself was a little dry and I didn't love the BBQ sauce it was covered in but I respect their desire to make a veggie burger fit into their BBQ theme. I can't comment on any of the actual meat BBQ they serve but everybody around us looked pretty happy and my colleague said her bison burger was great. Overall, I was quite surprised - in a good way - something I never thought I would be saying about Montana's!

Terrible food. Service was fine, no complaints there, but ribs were just gross. Cornbread was the only thing we liked to be honest.

Wow, what a sweet little place this is! We had intended to do something more elaborate (like…read moretravel) for our 35th anniversary, but we have a sick pet and then my husband was ill for a few days, so we ended up staying close to home. I had read some reviews about this place and wanted to check it out. Husband had the steak sandwich and a root beer as the DD; I had some buffalo wings and one of their smoked Old Fashioneds, the one with the moonshine called the Sherlock. This was one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had. Super smooth and delicate flavour; the smoke part was interesting but really not the critical piece for me. The wings were excellent and came with a not very flavourful ranch dressing and a few carrot sticks. Still, I would definitely go back for these wings. Husband had added=cost gravy for his fries and mushrooms for the steak. He remarked that he liked the fried onion strings on top. I had a couple of the fries and they were the coated type that I think should be banned forever, but he was fine with them. The gravy was reasonable without being memorable. We had the sticky toffee dessert to share and the server was kind enough to take a photo for us to remember the special day. The decor overall is pleasant resto pub style with seating arranged to allow for private conversation. The staff all seem focused and professional in their work. Overall, agree with all the positive reviews and I think it might be worthwhile to return and explore more of the menu.

This was my first visit to this Atlas Steak + fish location, but I've to the location in Kamloops…read morebefore, and that was a good experience. This visit was not. It was Mother's Day, but we had a reservation for an early dinner. We arrived on time, but despite having a reservation, we still had to 5-10 min for a table to be cleared and ready. From what I could tell, the restaurant was only half full, but not fully staffed. Much like the location in Kamloops, this look like a high-end steakhouse. The kids were impressed with mist covered entrance. Once seated we got our menus. It took a while for our server to come by, but as mentioned, they looked understaffed. The first thing she asked is if we want sparkling or still water. We chose still, only realizing later it was Evian water, not tap water. This was a common practice in fine dining restaurants decades ago, but I think the industry realized that it made feel customers cheated and so I haven't seen this for awhile. I feel it's the roughly the equivalent of being asked to tip for everything now - customers are feeling bad being forced to say no, and feels like a poor business practice. After taking our orders, we were served the complimentary bread. It looked good, but the moment I started to tear it apart, I could immediately tell it was not fresh. The outside was a hard dried-out shell, and the inside was barely warm - like it was sitting under a hot lamp for too long. The kids at the table also mentioned that it's not as good as they remember. We mentioned it to the server, and she thanked us for the feedback. I tried the following: - Prime Rib - Mixed review. The prime rib itself was good. I asked for medium rare, and that's exactly what I got. But It wasn't freshly carved, so it was luke-warm at best. Yorkshire pudding was hard and cold. The potato and kale/spinach pure were fine. The red wine jus had completely congealed. I forgot what it was, so when the plate was placed in front of me, it look like BBQ sauce, and not red wine jus. - New York Striploin - Not good. We asked for medium rare. It was clearly medium - and ended up dried out. I informed the server, and she was willing to replace, but I also encourage my family not to waste food, so we kept it, even if not at it's best. - Truffle & Parmesan Fries - Good. Very large portion size, so couldn't finish it. Service was spotty. Server was nice enough, but just didn't really have the tools or energy to help us with our problems. When we complained about the striploin, she did offer free dessert, but it was a big steak, and we were too full to take it. So what does that mean? I had to pay for still water, cold bread, cold prime rib, overcooked sirloin - at full price. I admit that the overcooked sirloin could have been fixed with a replacement and/or free dessert, but I don't think it would've made up for the entire visit. A place like Atlas aims to provide an ultimate dining experience, and once a mistake is made, it's an uphill battle to recover, and it certainly didn't here. I would have doubts coming back to this location, and possibly other locations too.

How have I not reviewed my favorite restaurant in edmonton? I have had everything on the menu here and everything is delicious. I am not sure if it is because there is different management here, but my experience here is sooooo much better then the Canadian Brewhouse by MacEwan University. Service is better and food is much better. I would reccomend if you like this place, to come here rather then the downtown location. So we ordered the golden garlic fingers and since it was brunch I thought I would try the brunch menu. I decided on the steak and 3 eggs orded poached, while my husband ordered the crunch buffalo chicken burger with fries. Service was good. The waitress informed us that our food may come out a bit later because there was a table of 20 that ordered, which was appreciated. And actually, the wait wasn't that long. When the food came out it was yummy. I was very surprised in the goledn garlic fingers, they were flavourful and cheesy and plentiful. The marinara sauce was really bursting with flavour too. I would never normally order this type of thing on the menu, but I would order this again. My steak and eggs were good. The eggs were poached as how I asked them, the hashbrowns were crispy and golden, toast was lovely and the steak was decent. It was cooked well, however, it lacked flavour. A splash of steak spice would have done it wonders. Saying that though, it came with a creamy steak sauce that was super yummy for dipping. My husband's meal was pleasant enough. He was pleased with the large chicken patty on it, and it was juicy. I think that we will come here as our local place. I generally avoid chain restaurants, but this *(and Nandos) will be the exception.
