I came here to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend as we agreed to go small, and it was overall a pretty good experience. Good portions, tasted good, it was all nice. The staff were fairly nice. We had a really good time and their response time was fairly quick too! My only issue would be whoever gets to sit the bar side should not need five people to check my ID. It made me very uncomfortable that they were passing it around. It took 14 minutes to be seated (even though they said no wait time) all due to my ID. Finally my partner asked them why it took so long and why so many people needed to check it, and they said it was because I "looked so young". Which is fair, most people guess i am 14-16 years old, but I'm in my 20's and my birthday was on the card, it was valid. I didn't understand the issue because I provided it with no issues and even offered to just sit on the family side. Then while sitting at our table eventually on the bar side, I received looks from a decent amount of the staff walking past, and had to show my ID for every drink/refill I ordered. It just felt like it was too overdone. When I mentioned my concerns near the end, they said it was just how they did things even though my partner didn't have to show ID. I would still recommend, it was just a frustrating experience and they should create a new system. read more

Fairly nicely decorated restaurant. Wed. dinner hour was quite busy here. Ordered shortly upon arrival. It was a bit if a wait to get our meals. Each of the 4 of us had all different meals. I had the 'all you can eat rib' special. With apple something barbecue sauce. Was pretty good but by the end of my plate, I could barely think about more! One had the chicken wings, he loved them. Someone else has the humongous beef bone, and the other meal was the brisket. All in all, was successful. Our waiter was very good. Even though it was busy there wasn't a lot of noise. Very nice! Terrible food. Service was fine, no complaints there, but ribs were just gross. Cornbread was the only thing we liked to be honest.

As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a charismatic man who is the manager that helps open all the new Montana's restaurants. He had us laughing the whole time. Popped into Montana's for Father's Day dinner - our first time dining out since COVID-19 restrictions. We had been staying in a nearby hotel for a couple of weeks, to fill the gap between the sale of our condo and the possession date of our new house, so an actual cooked meal was amazing. Even more amazing was the service at this location - Pat, our server was attentive, friendly, and not once did we ever want for anything because he was two steps ahead of us the entire time - refilling drinks right away, checking in on us, etc. It was a great experience. In addition, the restaurant was clean and inviting and the washrooms were immaculate. Will definitely be returning to this location! read more

I have loved Montanas sense forever, so when I went I had slightly high expectations cause I haven't had a bad experience there before and it was great. The food was amazing and filling. I had gotten a steak, the two sides that was with it was beans and coleslaw but I don't like beans and I was dealing with a lactose allergy at the time so the servers got it so I had corn bread and it was great. Over all great service even though they where busy when we went, amazing food, great environment ,nice servers and nice cooks. read more

The two girls that work there, I believe they are sisters, they are terrible hostess'. They seemed very snotty with me and were not very helpful. By the looks of it, they were very confused on what to do even with orders, they needed me to repeat my order multipule times when my order was very simple. They are rude and disrespectful. They do not look like Montanas is the right job for them and should be reassigned to a new location. They are always together in the resturant and should be doing their own jobs. They need more training in my opinion and should stick to the kitchen away from the public. I know them personally in the Fort and they are not good people. Please take this into consideration. This is apparently a very special Montana's. It is the 100th Montana's ever built and it is built in the new style the franchise is going forward with, which means no more man-cave-grimy-sports-bar decor. I will say I am truly surprised at how many vegetarian options they have. There is a veggie burger, a pasta dish, various meat free appetizers, salad (of course), and probably more! I had the veggie burger and the patty itself was a little dry and I didn't love the BBQ sauce it was covered in but I respect their desire to make a veggie burger fit into their BBQ theme. I can't comment on any of the actual meat BBQ they serve but everybody around us looked pretty happy and my colleague said her bison burger was great. Good service! Our waitress had an energetic personality and provided great customer service. Ribs and steak seemed to be the favorites in the area. My prime rib was pretty salty though. The peach sauce on the ribs were delicious. Good drink value despite them not having enough stock of their liquors. Overall good for just opening recently! read more

We were here last week and it was not good ..... The good things were the hostess and waitress were very kind but over worked also the drinks were good and so was dessert .... Many not so good things as the meals were very dry and cold not appealing so we didn't even finish our meals the place was messy and they seem to run out of things also very unprepared for a busy day it seemed .... I usually love eating at Montana's, so I got some take out this evening and it was dreadful. Absolutely no care nor effort was given to my order even though it was a simple cheeseburger and order of Antojitos. Burger bun was burnt worse than the patty itself and the antojitos were pulled straight from the freezer. Absolute dog shit 11/10 would never recommend anyone ordering take out from here and would almost recommend never stepping foot in there. Thanks for the experience guys! read more

Our hostess provided a friendly greeting as soon as we walked in the door. It was fairly full in there on a Saturday, but she was able to accommodate the three adults and two kids to a table quickly. Our server Stephanie was friendly and prompt. The same promptness could be said for our drinks and food. Don't recall the exact time but it wasn't long. The food was very good. It included the kids chicken bites, sliders, wings, a wrap, and steak. No issues. It was our first time here but I definitely would return based on the food and service we experienced. read more

Not sure if this location is still going through growing pains or what the issue was. Seating took forever in a nearly empty restaurant. Waitress was fantastic, super accommodating however bar orders took forever. Drinks were not in uniform glasses as advertised and management's presents was an annoyance. Managers stopped at table to inquire about service and when concerns were expressed, they were ignored. Food was ok. Dinner area was so cold I wanted to keep my jacket on. And the floor in between our table and the window looks like it hadn't been cleaned since opening day. I would possibly give a second chance but I am definitely going to be giving them some time to get their shit together. read more

so, I went in for a late, solo dinner in the bar, where you seat yourself. I sat there for 10min and not one of the 8 servers working even looked at me as they walked by. I left, if these servers can't even acknowledge a single person after 10min, even to say "real busy, be right with you", then I'm afraid they're not getting my cash. Visited on a semi busy wed night. Got seated right away by a nice young lady, but unfortunately others who arrived behind us got greeted, and chatted up and their order taken while we waited 15 min. Other waitresses played with kids at other tables and did not try to acknowledge us. Disappointing. Tried to call and give feedback to the manager instead of posting but there were not avail despite calling twice. Save your money go elsewhere. We were on our way back from a long road trip and still had a few hours ahead of us but wanted to sit down for a half decent meal since we had been eating road trip snacks the whole day. We were greeted and seated quickly, and our waitress came around and got our drinks quickly. She said she would be back to take our orders in a few minutes. We waited about half an hour, and in the half hour she seated another group of people and even took their orders before she came back and took ours when we were clearly sitting there with our menus closed waiting for our order to be taken. Another 10 minutes later I finally had enough and got up and asked the hostess to grab my bill for our ice tea so we could pay and leave. The hostess came back and asked us who our server was because apparently they all claimed that they didn't have our table, even though our waitress even wrote her name on our table cloth. The manager I do believe came around and convinced us to order take out, saying they would make it extra fast and we would enjoy it. I agreed because at this point I was just hungry and wanted to get on the road. The take out was quick and the food was decent, however in consolation of waiting over an hour for our food, all the establishment did was offer us a small plate of fries and two pieces of corn bread while we waited. Worst Montana's we have ever been to yet. Took at least 5 -7 mins to be greeted at the door and seated. We were seated without a highchair -- not even offered one despite holding a baby -- waited 5 mins to get a highchair offered to us by another server. After we had been sitting for a good 5 mins we had a different server come over and tell us our server was to busy and didn't have time to take our drink order so she could do it. Our drinks took good 15 mins to get to us which was a beer, cesar and 2 apple juices. We ordered our one child chicken fingers . They were ok. Edible. Ordered our other son the Scooby doo noodles they were disgusting barley cooked and the Alfredo sauce was like water on them, garlic bread wasn't toasted very well but it was the highlight of that meal. I brought it up with our server Paul S and got instant attitude back. I ordered the Canadian burger didn't finish it. Fries were gross. It tasted like old oil. Hubby got a briscuit it was so dry. The sauces on the table smelled rancid and low. The containers were disgusting and looked like they were never cleaned. Not once were we offered a top up on our drinks or even a glass of water. No one came to ask how our meal was. We had to go find ketchup from another table. This takes the book for the worst service / food. Service was actually rude. This place needs new staff brought in. Oh and the last thing I couldn't believe was watching our server / not our server Paul S taking someone's order with his cell phone after he was confronted by another customer of the bad service when we was on his phone walking around the restraunt. read more
