After running a hot and humid Bristol marathon came by for a bite to eat. Hostess got us sat right…read moreaway with the bartender attending us. Place was busy but the he was able to take care of us. Some of the girls had bottomless mimosas (only oj as a juice option). Everyone really liked their breakfast, the tostadas and the egg benny were the faves. The salsa for the tostadas was delicious not too spicy, eggs cooked perfectly, the southern benny between the gravy and the potatoes were great. Great option for your weekend brunch or a bite to eat. Updated a bit on the restaurant side but the bar side being older with that wooden charm.

The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.

Let me start by by saying that I haven't been here in quite some time and now I can see that I've…read moremissed nothing. First we get seated and the server says "the kitchen is behind so if you're looking to get your food quickly, it's not happening." What? Who says that? So we order cups of clam chowder but there's no silverware. So we waited another ten minutes before we had to get the attention of a different server to get us silverware. Meanwhile, we're waiting for our waitress to come back by to take our order, but she is just walking around while we see other tables that came in after us getting service. Waitress finally comes over after about 20-25 minutes and tells us she was waiting for the kitchen to catch up before taking our order. Again, what??? Mind you other tables were getting their orders taken. After another half an hour, our plates arrived ( we ordered baked stuffed scrod). Scrod was dry, sauce had no taste and the sides (mashed and corn) tasted as if they were just reheated in a microwave. My son orders a cheeseburger and fries and the cheeseburger was burnt and like a hockey puck. Two sprites to drink were flat as well. Overall, we were there almost an hour and a half. One of the worst experiences we have had a restaurant in a long time. We will not be going back for a very long time and I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. Very disappointing.

Tried this spot as part of our local Portuguese restaurant dining…read more "tour" and had a great experience. The dining room was quiet on a weeknight, but the bar was buzzing with activity. The extensive menu and attentive staff stood out, and both the cocktails(less than $10!) and wine were generously poured. We started with garlic shrimp, followed by Cajun scallops ($29) and grilled salmon ($22)--all flavorful and satisfying portions. The total bill with tip came to $125, which seemed like a bargain for the quality and service. Definitely recommend stopping by!

If you like thick clam chowder, this is it. For meals we opted to split the honey, hot chicken sandwich and a buffalo chicken pizza. Not gonna lie, the bowl of chowder was pretty big, and I was pretty full by the time I was done with it. The honey hot chicken sandwich is more like a honey mustard chicken. It was still pretty good, but if you are expecting hot honey, this is not it. I opted to have the blue cheese on the side with the pizza, because my husband doesn't like blue cheese. The buffalo chicken pizza was actually really delicious. It was like a bar pizza that you would get from the south shore. You really can't find this pizza in Rhode Island or in Southern MA, so this was a great find. Staff were friendly and attentive. I didn't get any alcoholic drinks cause it was pretty early and not much of a day drinker, but it had a really good vibe and I'm sure it's a lot of fun at night. The drink menu looked really good so I'll likely come back for drinks and apps. There's a cute outdoor seating area. It was pretty hot so we sat inside, but I'm sure this is a great place to sit at night time once the sun goes down and it cools off.
