I am not one to offer reviews for businesses due to my discomfort in not knowing what to say, but the whole team here is Amazing. From all the receptionists that have provided great feedback and are quick to answer all inquiries and appointment changes, to the dental assistants who provide great care in one's comfoetc all make the tedious nature of getting teeth work much more bearable. However, I give a great shoutout to Dr. Yun who always takes care to make sure I am not in pain or great discomfort in whatever work he has to provide to tremendous work that is my teeth. This dental place is very clean and you can feel the cleanliness as soon as you step in the door. All of the workers are very friendly and they are on top of their appointment. The dental staff is very nice, patient and explain everything since the first the time of the visit 3 years ago. It is like the dentist themselve giving the knowledge. This clinic never push to give the service. All the other one I visit try to force me to do the service. When the time comes they will find the solution and willing to work with your budget and insurance. It is great fee for service. The dentist always do excellent treatment. Came here for an appointment. Gave them my insurance info prior to the appointment. They said everything was good. I get to my appointment and then I'm informed that they don't take my insurance nor are they vendor for the company that I was sent by which I had told them this when I made the appointment. I had an implant inserted for my right molar that had to be extracted. The first implant didn't integrate with my bone so I had to have a second procedure done. The doctor talked with me about possible reasons the first implant didn't bond with my bone and he was transparent about the success rate for the second implant. Luckily the second implant stuck and I'm pleased with the outcome. The staff is very friendly and I would recommend this dental office. read more

The staff is very nice, however something didn't sit right with me about the amount of work and the charges for each particular procedure. I was going to have to pay so much out of pocket. The most expensive thing was 2 root canals that needed to be done. I was being charged about $1000 each root canal. I asked Fatima for my X-rays because I really wanted to see my regular dentist. She said it would be $25 which I was glad to pay. Then she said she would be happy to give them to me for free, but it was a printout on a piece of paper, to which I complained because those are not good images for any dentist to see detail from. Then she said she would email me the actual digital images, which I was happy because coming from a radiology background it's always best to have digital images for a doctor to zoom in and out. When I received said images I was extremely disappointed to see that it was just a scan of the paper print. When I replied back that I needed better images there was no response. Either way when I went back to see my regular dentist, he performed more X-rays (which surprisingly didn't hurt at all) he did see the two root canals that needed to be done. We called my insurance and they said that they would cover 80% and that I would only be responsible for 20% of the visit. With everything said and done my two root canals and crowns came up about $400. Not only was Monte Vista completely over billing me, but when I did get a tooth cleaning there the dentist was completely rough and it was so immensely painful that I couldn't go through with anything else. He also didn't even polish my teeth or even did a fluoride treatment. My mouth was left bleeding. It was not a good experience. The girls there were nice enough, but I received 100% better experience elsewhere. Not only with pricing, but with how gentle they are with their care. read more

Horrible experience. Came here for a cleaning and specifically informed them I had dentical and private insurance and if both are taken in case one doesn't cover work. I was informed they did and that was no issue. They took forever to do X-rays and when I went to the panoramic X-ray I was never informed of pricing ahead of time. Every single X-ray they do it's charged! With no prior authorization from the customer, no pricing was every explained to me before any work, which the only work I received was a cleaning! the only reason I did the panoramic x ray was bc the dental assistant could not get normal x ray bc the computer "wasn't working". Their incompetence comes out of your pocket. They had quoted me an hour and a half and when I had reached over the two hours I told them I had to go, and they were working on my model teeth that they never were able to obtain because the machine kept giving an error, however I was charged for that! Also, the dentist is very off putting and rude. And today I received a $300 bill, total was $436! for what? A cleaning? They didn't even attempt to use my dentical alongside my private insurance. I called them and they said billing isn't available today. Avoid coming here, and if you do make sure they are clear and open to exactly the pricing on everything bc this experience felt like a scam. read more

Going to the dentist can be a very scary thing but the staff here has always been so kind & informative when it comes to my treatments. I went through an Invisalign treatment and my teeth are now so straight. I also get my two teeth cleanings a year and have maintained an overall great dental health with the help of the staff here. Okay let's start out be saying this office was purchased from Dr Kim, R.I.P. Whom my family has gone to for over 30 years. The business was sold to Jawoo Cho DDS. He started a crown I paid half with the understanding I was moving out of state and I would come back to Cali to finish the process. Appointment set for 10-18 they have sent texting and called numerous times to make sure I'm still coming. I get to my appointment this morning and they informed me that the crown was sent back to the lad... WTH Dr. Would NEVER it's sad because they have life long patients of Dr. Kim. I went in at 2:30pm for my onlay to be put back cement it they said your due for a cleaning i said ok so the dentist assistant was doing the cleaning xrays and they did a 3d xray not the dentist they lost my file from last time i was here they always have different staff everytime i go. I felt pressured by staff that they were pushing me to get work done avout $7000 when i said no thank you just cement my onlay the dentist was angry i get it they live off doing this but this is not ethical he did a crappy job my onlay fell off for sure me and my family will not come here anymore i thought i had found an honest dentist close to home guess this is not. read more

I always was greeted and served well here. My main gripe is I was "scared" into getting a crown. I was leaving on vacation in about two weeks and I was told my molar had a hairline crack and my tooth may crack causing tooth loss. I didn't want any dental concerns while on vacation. I listened to the dentist's suggestion and "okayed" the crown procedure. Oh course, it was not a problem; my insurance would pick up the cost as such with my other previous crown procedures here. It turned out that my claim/coverage was eventually rejected by my high option dental insurance plan and I was to pay this bill out of pocket. I complained this sudden bill with the dentist's front desk who agreed to help me dispute the bill. I also disputed my bill, in writing, with my dental insurance company. I was denied coverage again for this procedure. I appealed their decision as well as having the dentist's front desk re-writing their narrative why they deemed the procedure necessary? My appeal eventually went to final binding arbitration: I lost my appeal. After receiving my letter of the third party arbitration's final decision, I called the phone number of my dental insurance's letterhead. In detail, I was explained that various dental experts determined that getting a crown was not necessary; that it was not a necessary procedure. I basically believe I was conned into getting a procedure that was unnecessary. Now I'm stuck with a several hundred dollars bill when I NEVER had to pay such an amount for a crown. I felt very uncomfortable continuing business with Monte Vista Dental Group. I had to remove doubt of any future, potentially deceptive procedures done onto me and go elsewhere. read more

This is my primary dental group, they have such a great team that knows there stuff. All the staff is very welcoming and inviting. They take care of any concerns you have with your teeth and they recommend practices outside of there scope for your different need . I highly recommend this dental group.
