As a dental assistant I'm scared to come back. I'm not sure if it's because I have medi-cal insurance that they gave me bad service. An hour after the anesthetic wore off I had a sharp lingering pain. Went away, and came back again. On a scale of 1-10 my pain is 20. My mouth burns from all the cuts and bruising on the bottom of my tongue. He shaved off a lot of my gums and cut me everywhere. Mind you it's just a filling in between teeth. There's no emergency contact information to reach the dentist for my lingering pain. It's not even sensitive it's lingering sharp pain. I would say he's very rough and didn't really help me with the tooth that's actually hurting me. He would use the mouth mirror and shove it on the bottom of my tongue. I felt like gagging and throwing up and it was blocking my air way. As a Registered dental assistant and a veteran I feel I wasn't being properly taken care of. Do not take your business here. This dentist cracked my tooth and after I addressed him about it he denied. I walked in for a regular cleaning and left with a cracked tooth. This required me having to get a cap on my tooth!!! In addition I had dual insurance and they charged both of my insurances for services not rendered. Since me and my family were not aware when we went to another dentist they were not able to use my insurance since Dr. Eric Chaing office had gotten paid from my insurance and we were not able to get services from another provider since it was the end of the year and it takes about 30 or more days to get the charges reversed back to my insurance. Im telling you do not go this place. The way he and the front desk girl treated me and my family was terrible!!!! They committed insurance fraud and did nothing to take care of the situation afterwards!!!! read more

I was referred to Dr. Chang's office by my cousin who knew how much I've dreaded and frankly, hated going to the dentist. After my initial exam there were a few things I wanted to point out during this time. 1. The front office worker Daniela, sanitizes the counter space right as you enter, checks your temperature and asks that you use hand sanitizer. It was a big relief considering the pandemic. 2. I hate shots as much as the next person but Dr.Chiang has a light hand and was very patient. I cry at the sight of needles and he took his time to reassure me I'd be fine and let the topical numbing stuff do it's thing. I've been places were they are shot happy and ready to do it moments after the topical numbing. Those dentist give these guys a bad rapport. 3. My silver fillings are now composite and I feel like a whole new gal! Seriously they look great. 4.I got two root canals at the age of 16 the were mismatched to my existing shade and I opted into getting them done here as the do cosmetic dental. I'm so happy with my decision. I was nervous and albeit insecure and when Dr. Chiang went in and fixed up my little nubby teeth for the fit of my new crowns. The temps were gorgeous and the stayed in until I got my replacements to match perfectly. It took two try's and I have to say there were things I would have turned a blind eye to but Dr.C was adamant they were done exceptionally. Lastly, the assistants seemed to be new there but you could tell they are hands on a really open to learning. Overall I am happy about my experience there and highly recommend this dental office. read more

So having had to switch over to an HMO, sometimes you never know what kind of office you are walking into, but I definitely was greatly surprised. The front office was very attractive, with their adorable fish tanks, and exceptionally clean. The receptionist was extremely friendly and sweet, America was her name. When I was called back for my appointment, Cynthia, the assistant took my x-rays, and she was extremely sweet also. After that was completed, Dr. Chiang came in, who was also very friendly and very thorough. I definitely would recommend this office, and hopefully, Dr. Chiang wont retire for years to come, so I can keep going there. read more

BE AWARE if you have HMO insurance. Don't go to this doctor!!! Schedule appointment to do annual cleaning they took the X-ray say everything looks fine and they recommended deep cleaning which is not covered by insurance. I requested regular cleaning for next week and the front desk say ok. The day before my appointment front desk called say that doctor said I only need DEEP Cleaning not regular cleaning. If I need to do regular cleaning just do it next year. (Haven't did one cleaning this year. And this happened in September 2022) This place just try to get extra cash even though you already have insurance. read more

I don't even know how to express my frustration with this dentist, so I'll start from the beginning. Last week, I came in for my annual check-up, teeth cleaning, and x-rays. I haven't had any kind of pain or sensitivity, and my teeth look great, so I wasn't expecting anything terrible. The dentist comes in to see me after the x-rays are done and immediately--like within seconds of looking at my x-rays--starts pointing out all of these cavities that I supposedly have. Mind you that he hasn't even looked in my mouth yet, and I'm also looking at the x-rays in confusion because I'm not seeing any dark spots where there would be tooth decay. I sensed something fishy going on. But according to this guy, I had four cavities. So I'm like, okay, whatever. I'll just get come back sometime soon and get them filled. He's the professional, so he knows what's best, right? Wrong. The next day, I decide to look into a new dentist since it seemed like there was some funny business going on at this place. So I find a new dentist and they thankfully have an opening the next day (shout out to Dr. Hajjar in Rancho Cucamonga--highly recommend). Low and behold, I had no cavities, and I have a strange feeling that Dr. Chiang was just trying to make some money off of me. On top of that, the new dentist I had gone to was looking at the x-rays that were taken at Dr. Chiang's and notices that they didn't even x-ray tooth #15, which Dr. Chiang said was a cavity. Ummm? How can you call it a cavity if you didn't even x-ray it, and the tooth looks perfectly fine? EVEN worse--Dr. Chiang didn't x-ray my third molars, which started growing in just recently. The new dentist decided to x-ray them to see how they were growing in, and he noticed them coming in slanted. I'm getting them extracted next month. Can you imagine if I never decided to go to a new dentist? My top teeth would have gotten overcrowded. My goodness! All I can say is, thank God I found a new dentist who genuinely cares about their patients' oral health, and not a funny-business scammer who calls four perfectly good teeth cavities. Extremely unprofessional. If you want money, you need to WORK for it and do your job properly and ETHICALLY. Please, go elsewhere and save yourself the stress. read more

Dr. Chiang owes me a refund for work he didn't perform. He's been avoiding my calls and hasn't had the responsibility to manage my refund. The staff as well has been very disappointing. Noemi the business manager has not returned my calls nor made any effort to help. Daniela on the other hand has been fair in helping me achieve my refund. I can't believe the work ethic this practice has, very sad to see a Dr. Behave in this fashion. I simply don't get. I advised the doctor that i would remove my 1 star if he simply refunded me the money he owes me, after all no services were ever performed. He charged me mistakenly and he should have refund me instantly. Again, can't rate someone positively if the service is awful. Update, i just received a call from Noemi and she assured me that my refund would be in route soon. read more

I met Daniela and she was super sweet and knowing that she loves her job made me want to try out this dental office since i was looking to switch to a new dentist. Cynthia was super sweet and made me feel comfortable while she did all my x-rays and assisted dr chiang, who is actually super gentle, patient and thorough when doing my teeth cleaning. He recommended me a great orthodontist as well. Their staff is wonderful, (so sorry i forgot your name ) that the girl who helped me with my teeth whitening treatment was super nice and walked me through the steps of how to use the whitening trays at home. 10/10 better than my last dental office and would recommend to anyone. read more
