Just some lenses when you sleep and you'll be able to go about the rest of your day without anything in your eyes (depending on your eye degree). Not going to lie, it's definitely an investment and can be expensive, but I think it's worth that I don't need to wear glasses. Also Dr. Woo is really patient and nice and makes sure that your eyes will be okay. If a lens doesn't work, he will change it out and re-evaluate. Glad he doesn't just give up on you. The staff are also friendly and kind people, always greet you with a smile.

The front desk manager--a Taiwanese woman around her 50s, wearing glasses and a pink uniform--flat-out refused to provide any itemized price sheet. She repeatedly used the "explanation" that "every child 'eyes are different so we can't give a price until after the washout process." Only after my intense insistence did she hand-write a quote of $6,975 on a scrap receipt paper. When I asked why they only offer a mandatory 2-year package while every other clinic offers a standard 1-year option, her explanation made zero medical sense. She claimed a 2-year package is required to "guarantee the far-sighted/hyperopia reserve," yet in the same breath, she admitted the reserve stabilizes in 6 months. She kept contradicting herself just to justify their bloated package. Worse yet, their package forces you to pay for 3 extra "lost & broken" replacement lenses upfront. I told her my child has been successfully wearing Ortho-K for 10 months now (we started the treatment back in China before relocating back to the US), and we have protected the lenses perfectly without ever losing or breaking them for nearly a year. We do not need to pre-pay for 3 spare lenses. I asked if it's possible to remove it, but she flatly refused, saying, "It's like insurance. If you don't file a claim, that's your problem." It makes absolutely no sense to force an experienced Ortho-K parent to pay thousands of extra dollars for a "mandatory insurance" they don't want or need. When I mentioned that we just returned to the US from China, her eyes lit up and she said, "Oh, we have many patients like you." It became glaringly obvious that this place intentionally exploits information gaps and preys on newly relocated families or those who might have language barriers. Their "standard of care" for the 3-week washout process is incredibly sloppy. They only provided ONE pair of temporary glasses for the entire 3 weeks. I challenged this, pointing out that professional clinics provide multiple adaptive glasses (e.g., a weaker pair for week 1 and a stronger pair later as the cornea reshapes, with weekly check-ups to ensure the child's daily routine isn't disrupted), but the manager dismissed it. Only when I refused to back down did she snappingly offer, "Well, if you request it, we can give you two pairs." It is a shame that a parent has to fight for a child's basic visual safety. Because I asked logical, detailed questions, the manager completely lost her temper, became hostile, and literally accused me of "destroying" her entire consultation process and strategy. On top of that, after charging a standard $195 fee, she tried to tack on an extra $45 for an axial length measurement. When I called her out because reputable clinics include this, she suddenly backtracked and said, "Okay, fine, it's free." I paid my $195 consultation and left in tears. While I appreciate the doctor's kindness, the toxic customer service and predatory sales tactics from the manager totally ruined this clinic. I was seen by Dr. Steven Lee instead. The visit was great.. Absolutely didn't have to wait a long time. It's been awhile since I last checked out my eyes. Dr. Lee took his time assessing the concerns and issues I had. It was very easy to talk to Dr.Lee . He was patient, I did not feel rushed at all. Compare to all the visits I have had with other locations, all the doctors would rush and I would be done being seen by a doctor within 10 mins while the wait with appointments would take 30 minutes. I highly recommend coming here, time is money. The full appointment took 50 minutes with less than 1 minute wait to be pre-test screening and assessed by a doctor.

That's late. I was told before my exam that my frame size could be accommodated. It could not. No amount of "above and beyond" was needed or would have changed the bad information from the beginning. The shop can't accommodate wide frames. The business owner did offer a free pair of frames (that would not fit), by way of apology. I do not want free things, but thanks for the sentiment. Original post: Dr. Luo was 15 minutes late to her 1st appointment of the day with no apology or even mention. While waiting for my exam, I told the front desk that I needed large frames and asked which brands to look at. I was told that two brands in stock would accommodate me, and that they could order anything else. After the exam, it turns out they do not have a pair of frames that will fit me. They did encourage me many times to get a smaller pair with the hope that the springs would stretch enough. Would still be too small. Since that was certainly not going to be a viable option, I asked for copies of the written prescriptions for reading, computer, and distance, to be filled elsewhere, only to be told that I already had them, and that I misunderstood when Dr. Luo told me she would save distance scripts to their system and that they had printed them out in tandem to save paper. While we were waiting the staff were arguing about a customer's order loudly in front of everyone! We all watched while they gas lit each other on who had the order or didn't have the order. That was crazy but good entertainment LOOL but that alone made me want to walk out but he wanted us to give them the benefit of the doubt. Once we finally got someone's attention he filled out his paperwork and again, had to wait for someone to get his paperwork and tell him what to do next. We waited for 15mins and finally we had to ask a staff walking by that we had an appointment and needed help! She told the other staff to take him and get his pre-appointment stuff started (checking eye pressure and all that jazz) We went to the other side of the store and I waited for him in the waiting room and you can see everything that was going on. The lady looked so lost on doing the whole thing and the thing that blows air into your eye? He got like shot a few times that his eyes got so dry and tired afterwards. I stopped into Saigon Optical and the owner told me not to worry and he said he could fix them. In less than 5 minutes they were fixed and I was on my way.
