The friendliest and most efficient optometry office I've ever been to. I'm really glad I decided to give them a try for my most recent exam, everything was smooth, professional, and honestly just a great experience overall. The exam was excellent, . They have new technology I've never seen before that shows really neat images of my eyes. They made buying my lenses incredibly easy and took the time to explain the different lenses and I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me on anything. They even handled all the rebates and insurance, which was so helpful. I picked up my glasses a couple of weeks ago, and I could not be more pleased with them. My Son's prescription sunglasses are WRONG and the doctor refused to acknowledge their mishap and said "he needs to get used to them"!? I was not in the store at the time or I assure you I would have pressed the issue because they are in fact THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION. Do not go to this establishment! Dr Hong was excellent!! Taught me something new about meibomiam glands and how it affects dry eyes. Especially, with electronic devices. In all of my years, no optometrist have ever mentioned that. I have finally found my forever Optometrist and one who truly cares about me and my eye health. I have been to several other optometrists in the past and none have given me the time and care that Dr. Hong has given me. I have struggled with my vision previously and no one was able to figure out why. When I first came to Eye Society Optometry, Dr. Hong took the time to really dive into my eye history and do additional testing to figure out what's going on and I really appreciated the time she spent doing so. She was able to identify my eye problem and developed a treatment plan for my dry eyes. I have followed along closely with her recommendations and have done the eye cleaning and light therapy and treatment that she had planned for me. I noticed immediate improvements after each session. Before visiting, I didn't know my eyes were starting to get dry. Through the equipment and procedures available, I was able to learn that my eye oils were clogged. Going through treatment with Dr. Hong was a little worrying at first, but she and the staff have been great and welcoming every time. After going through my treatments, I can actually feel and see a difference with my eyes. Now my eyes are whiter and hydrated. I was long overdue for an eye exam so with a little help from yelp I found Dr. Shiau's office. I called in for an appointment the week before and they were super accommodating and got me in the following week. The staff members were friendly and helpful during my visit. As for Dr. Shiau, he was amazing! I think this may have been the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. He really took the time to examine my eyes, explained to me what was going on and even drew visuals on his whiteboard. Great bedside manners and really takes the time to get to know you as a patient. Another thing that I appreciated was the fact that he didn't try to sell me extra stuff like test and etc. that I didn't need. Overall, it was a solid first experience. Great staff and great Doctor. The doctor took care of me and asked what I was looking for as far as glasses. Because I am at a computer all day, I strain my eyes all day. When we walked into the store they didn't even greet us or asked how they can help. The girls at the front just stared at us and told us they didn't have many glasses... like huh? Is that how you're going to advertise? Then we walked around and looked at some glasses but everyone that worked there was just walking past us and not even acknowledging us so we just left!! As we were leaving they just stared at us and didn't say anything. LOL Never coming back here or recommending this place to anyone. Recently had a pair of eyeglasses that broke on me and needed to find a place to repair ASAP since I really need this for work. I saw this nearby and decided to walk-in. Immediately walking in, I was greeted so kindly and they were able to fix it right then, while also handling a few customers at the same time. The waiting area where I was waiting at was really clean and chairs were spaced out which is a telling sign that they are keeping the customers safe by practicing social distancing. Love it so far and will definitely be coming back here for more appointments. And, I need more time next come to check out their cute fashionable eyewear. read more

This is my second time to get my contact prescription. The attitude is suck～ when I came back after one week to recheck, I haven't meet doctor. I only talk to reception . I said I feel dry eye with my contact lens. She only recommend eye drops. They didn't let me try other brand contact , just give final prescription. I never come back again!!! Don't go to this store. I am blessed with two sources of eyecare insurance: Kaiser from work, and EyeMed from my labor union. Kaiser gave me my annual eye exam a few months back. They had top notch modern equipment and I had a full screening. However, I got several concerned grunts from my awkward Kaiser doctor. He really appeared nervous and confused, which didn't help my anxiety one bit. The people at Kaiser were nice, but the glasses I got were expensive, ill fitting, and got easily smeared by my own face, and I had to tilt my head all around to be able to read my phone or my computer screen. I wanted a second opinion. I got one from my friendly neighborhood eye doctor. They were super nice. I brought my mother with me and they tolerated her sitting in the waiting room while I got my exam. The equipment was old school, but still very effective. I got a thorough an eye exam from the doctor and his technicians. He explained everything very clearly, and addressed why my previous doctor wants frequent follow-ups. He explained that my prior doctor probably only grunted because he could not say there was any problem, only that I had several high risk factors for future problems. What a relief. Someone that communicates patiently, very succinctly and answered all my questions well! His staff is patient, very friendly and very helpful with helping me pick the glasses and fit them properly. Truly a cheerful bunch. The glasses they have are so much more fashionable than the ones offered at Kaiser. The digital fit was almost like 3-D tailored to my chubby face so that, unlike the ill fitting ones I got from Kaiser that had only a little bit of useable area to focus through, these truly gave me clear vision where ever my eyeballs rolled. And my nose and cheeks did not smear all over the lenses by the end of the day because the titanium Zeros I got were superlight and did not slip or dent my nose. The Prada polarized sunglasses gave me superclear glare free vision to read my phone in bright sunlight. I'm so glad I dropped by. read more

I checked with my insurance from work to see if any other optometrist was closer to home and without a crowd of people.
