awesome homemade treats for kids and adults. We loved the flavors and choices. The kids loved the toppings and the adults loved the quantity and prices. Great Location and we walked along the river front and enjoyed our yummy treats. This ice cream isn't that great, unfortunately. The flavors aren't 'true' and the chocolate is really off tasting. It also has a weird consistency - like it's filled with fillers but not cream. The hot fudge has an off flavor, too. Very overpriced, but they do give generous portions. read more

Oh Myyyyyyy! Good things do come to those who walk all the way down hill to the river. This place is redonkulous. Flavors are just crazy, you will want to try them all. We each had a two scoop cup, Maple Walnut was sultry and rich, cake batter was bright and just sweet enough, pumpkin was just right for the Fall, the Caramel Apple was original and awesome. Moo Moo's have the best ice cream in New York. Highly worth a visit if you're in the area, and don't be frightened by the line- it goes quickly. We took a 45 min detour today to grab an ice cream before we headed home to NYC. read more

After a nice long hike, this ice cream was everything you could ask for. I got the maple bacon and cherry vanilla and it was amazing. Fresh cherries, pieces of smoky bacon..these flavors were incredible. I would actually come take the MetroNorth to Cold Spring just for this ice cream - it was magical and delicious! I absolutely love moo moo's and wish it was closer to home. Their flavors are always inventive and delicious, it's seriously difficult to choose. The portions are massive and not stingy, but the prices are the opposite and it's the best deal in town for some seriously amazing ice cream. A large is three "scoops", which is just a mountain of fresh homemade ice cream and will run you about $7. I highly recommend the maple bacon and the Guinness chocolate covered pretzel, but always check their Facebook for their daily fresh flavors. Seating inside is very limited, but the pier is perfect for enjoying their ice cream with a breeze and a view. They're also super understanding about allergies and willing to clean scoops to ensure the safety of all their guests, as someone with a major peanut and tree nut allergy I can never feel safe enough but they keep it clean and make me feel comfortable. Brand new all home-made ice cream place--great service (by owner) and fabulous tasting ice cream. Owner makes everything on the premises. Good range of flavors but we settled on the extra rich chocolate. And huge servings--his single scoop would be double scoop most places. Wow. Beautiful location, too, right on the Hudson. Moo Moo's Creamery is the best ice cream in Cold Spring, and probably the best ice cream i have ever had. Some favorites are maple walnut, black raspberry, and strawberry. Their hot fudge sundaes are delicious, one of the best hot fudges I've had. The portions are huge, the price is reasonable, the staff is great - there is no reason to go anywhere else. read more

Consistently awesome. Many different flavors, with both classics (like chocolate and black cherry) and new concoctions (Guinness and pomegranate). Great service and HUGE portions. They also always have some sort of sorbet or frozen yogurt, for those who are lactose intolerant it is still awesome. read more

A locally-living friend tipped me off about this place and, wow, did it deliver! It serves some of the best and most generously-portioned quiescently frozen milk I've tasted. We live in Cold Spring and have loved Moo Moos in the past as a special treat to our kids. The location is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the ice cream is delicious (if a bit expensive). With all that said, you are probably wondering why the poor review? The owners of this establishment are dishonest and treat their workers poorly. As a Cold Spring local, I personally know many families whose kids have worked for Moo Moos and have had their tips confiscated by the owners. Every tip. Every time. Any tip you leave is taken away from the servers and kept by the owners. I refuse to patronize a place that takes hard earned money meant for its employees and lines their own pockets with it. I encourage other yelpers to patronize any of the other fine establishments in cold spring. My kids love GoGO pops on Main Street, and there is a Frozen Berry there too. Or buy some ice cream at Foodtown, scoop your own, make some friends with the leftovers. You'd STILL save some money! read more
