I didn't have my phone or wallet with me, but went into Tree Lounge and asked the young barista if he wouldn't mind giving me a water cup. He was such a friendly guy, helping me like I was a paying customer. He didn't have to be as accommodating! I went back after my run to thank him, and get a cup of coffee. I'll definitely keep coming in when I get to Camarillo, as I often do. I'll also check out the gallery and performances!

Order went through no problem. Trouble started this morning when my wife received a message from the driver that Tree Lounge doesn't have the order (first screenshot). My wife looks and sees she received a cancellation text for the order 1 minute after the driver's message (second screenshot). From the outside this looks like the driver walked in, asked for the order, they said they didn't have it and then cancelled it. So, my wife called Tree Lounge to see what is going on and was told that they cancelled the order because they were "in the middle of their rush". It's easy to see how poorly this situation was handled in general, but also clear no one checked online orders to prep the work for the morning. This order shouldn't be a surprise and the choice to just blind cancel it instead of making it because of what equates to "we're busy" is pretty bad. Takes a lot for me to leave a review. If you don't want to process online order during your rush then set those hours up in door dash. If you screwed up and just didn't check your online orders in the morning, then just make the drink as the next up order. I'm happy to discuss the situation - Tree Lounge, feel free to reach out to me.

GETTING HERE:…read more Located in DTCam. on Ventura Blvd. between Carmen and Arneill. I think street parking would be your best bet, however, you can drive up the side street near the residential areas if needed. Look for the 999 Pizza place. REVIEW: First timer to the location in Cam! To know me is to know that I am obsessed with their brown butter toffee cookies. I have been known to clear out the inventory at the Ventura (mall) location, #sorrynotsorry. They are THAT good. Trust me. So, this order was to go, but the inside seemed airy and open, loved the open vibe. There's a good amount of outside seating too, so if that's your preference, I would choose that option. (It's better than sitting outside at the Ventura Mall location, IMO). The employees were basic, that's OK. I don't expect much in 2026. No pics as the cookies were packed away in my bag asap. But, I'll be back! It was a fine-enough visit. Thanks!

Camarillo is lucky to have Café Ficelle! Its also the only place that can make me a raspberry latte with whip. :)

They have some of the best hot chocolate I've ever had. The gelato is fantastic as well, especially the Mint Chip and Espresso flavors. Beyond the treats, it's also a great place to find unique gifts and enjoy a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. I love that they offer board games, making it a fun spot to sit, unwind, and spend time with friends or family. The owners are warm and welcoming, and every visit has been a great experience. We're always happy to come back!

I especially hated the blueberry that tasted pure artificial. Then the atrocity that was the coffee chocolate- I took a bite... no flavor at all of coffee, too sweet, then the bite of a dry sorta stale coffee bean. Like literally just a bean. Idk it was weird. The special was "dark floral" I thought it could be a flowery floral flavor you know? I thought that sounded cool and unique. naw...it just had flowers printed on it. Strawberry cream milk was way too sweet barely any strawberry flavor... like not one of these was good. I didn't finish the ones I tried, and I still am leaving the passion fruit I bought since I assume it will be as artificial as the blue berry. Sorry to be a hater but this ain't it.

I walked in and walked over to the far right where the barista was making coffee. There were 2 families in the building, I stood and waited patiently, drink after drink I saw everyone receive their drink. My order was to be ready at 732pm, it was now 739pm. All good no rush, nothing to do, I then noticed everyone had their drink and the barista, slender guy with no personality w/a beanie, deleted the last order from the screen and begin to clean his space. This is when I approached him and asked if he could check on my order, I wanted to be sure I wasn't at the wrong location, he asked for name on order so I gave it to him and told him it was an app order. He said app orders are on the other side (big long counter and I don't recall a sign that says orders or app orders or anything) so I felt dumb, naturally (I was not upset at all) so we walk over and I see my drinks and I said "oh sorry, my first time here, thank you" still feeling stupid. This is where he could've helped me not feel dumb and it all would've been fine and 100% on me, maybe even shared a laugh over my stupidity, BUT To my surprise he just walked away, he didn't even acknowledge my comment, nothing not a word, so I said "thanks" loudly since he was already 10-15 feet away and this time I was sure to be clear that I did not mean it. As I walked out feeling dumb, the other guy running the register cool dude with long hair and beard, asks the barista "do you not ask them?" He saw the opportunity! And that's my whole point!! Careless because he saw me standing there, I'm a heavy set guy with a blue flannel, the 2 families have their drinks, he cleared out all the orders and he couldn't have the courtesy to ask "are you waiting for a drink" "do you have an order?" Anything that would indicate that he would give a rats butt about a customer who just waited patiently!! I manage retail so I understand long days and all but I can also not accept or understand how someone can just disregard a long time loyal customer of this brand, knowing there are no more drinks in queue, no one in line, nothing and just leave me standing there. I will NEVER return here, a waste of a drive, I will continue going to Gabriel in Oxnard. Jesus fyi señor, this fella working on 3/7 at 732pm, slender build with a beanie, expressionless, emotionless and clueless to body language and verbal basic customer communication with lacking enthusiasm is not the face of the brand I know you strive to create and he does not meet, the standards I know you set. He makes good drinks I'll give him that but wow!

Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.
