I don't normally leave reviews but the service and accommodation was super excellent! I forgot the name of the lady who attended me but she was super helpful and made me an excellent 6oz latte with the black label matcha. It was nice and strong and had a smooth nutty taste. I was very skeptical going in because there's a lot of matcha places popping up for cash grab but I can assure you they are serious about what they serve! Atmosphere was peaceful and nice as well, but ultimately I'm focused on the drink and service. I will def come back and want to try their other blends! read more

Amazing. But I NEED to say more. This place is a heaven sent, full and satisfying menu and the owner has a background with Whole Foods -BB (before bezos). Everything I've tried so far amazing. Skinny greens very refreshing and satisfying. Original pizza, guilt free and delicious, also gluten free. I'm a fat kid through and through but omg the food is flavorful complex and gratifying. Knowing you're getting a pizza crust that's super delicious and made with all whole foods is empowering. I would say on the cost level it's mid-high, but very very very worth it. You have to check this place out. It's clean and the staff is kind and quick, the vibe is casual and laid back, I'll keep coming back. You should too. Lowkey wanna gate keep but she's new be nice! Edit: OMG the egg salad was made for me later because she stopped keeping it on hand but the attention to detail where she toast one side so you get the crispy bread but also the softness on one side, a really nice pairing. If you like matcha, DO NOT GO HERE! It is not a legitimate matcha place! I've tried a LOT of matcha places before and I was disappointed after finding out there was a matcha spot here in Ventura County. What immediately threw me off were the vast prices for various matcha drinks, despite the many authentic matcha places I have visited having a decent price range at around $6-8. The most expensive drink there was $18 for ONE matcha drink! There is absolutely no reason to throw customers off into thinking matcha is that expensive, despite the quality of the matcha. Their system of handling customers was also terrible. I was one of 4 customers who was already inside, with the rest of the customers already having their drinks. I ordered two drinks and was supposed to pay at the register, but the worker there told me to "wait a few minutes", only for her to prioritize online orders first despite already interacting with me and taking my order. She finished all the online orders first even though some were barely coming in. I waited at least 35 minutes for them to make me pay and start my order. I paid $30 for two drinks. The matcha was light and I couldn't taste it. My brother said his tasted more like milk than matcha, even if they added agave in it. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the environment was clean and tidy, along with the staff being kind despite an unbelievable wait time with no new customers coming in. I don't recommend this place for a casual matcha drink, it is expensive and their drinks are bland. If you want a better matcha drink locally in Ventura County, try Room Service Coffee, Dolce Vita, or Cajé Coffee Roasters. If you want a real matcha drink, have a drink farther down to Little Tokyo or Koreatown in LA. Otherwise, I'm not spending money here again! read more

Boochies is definitely a trendy spot. The inside is cute and the ambiance is nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially since the menu felt a little overwhelming. My friend and I both went with the Raw Earth Cream Latte. It definitely had an earthy quality to it. However, the latte was so light on flavor that it tasted watered down and I couldn't finish it. I got the vanilla iced matcha. And it was good, smooth, perfect amount of sweet. I'll have to try the straight matcha next! I was super excited to have a local Matcha spot and wanted to love it. My friend and I were unfortunately pretty disappointed with our Matcha drinks. I ordered the raw earth cream iced latte and I appreciated the earthy and slightly nutty flavor. My friend ordered the vanilla latte but both our drinks were mild and super watered down to the point that it tasted like a drink that had been sitting for an hour or longer. We were also the only customers there so it's not to say there was a big line to work with. The place itself is cute, spacious, and I loved that the interior design invited the sun. The individuals that helped us were lovely but when we asked them any questions they were unable to provide much insight. The matcha itself seems good quality, but I hope they can improve their matcha-milk ratio and flavor profile. read more

Camarillo is in for a treat because Boochies Matcha Bistro is officially open! My bestie and I stopped in for a midday pick me up, and we were impressed immediately upon walking in. Boochies has created a space that feels tranquil, beautiful, and inviting, the kind of place where you instantly want to sit and stay awhile. Boochies is the first concept of its kind in the area, and that alone is exciting. I have so many friends who are matcha fanatics, so having a spot serving ceremonial grade matcha right here in our local neighborhood feels like a big deal. And I learned so much during our visit. Boochies sources their ceremonial grade matcha from a family owned farm in Kirishima, Japan. They offer five different grades of ceremonial matcha, and part of the fun is getting to learn about the differences when you visit. We had the pleasure of meeting owner Rebekah aka "Boochie" and she couldn't have been lovelier. You can feel her passion for what she's building. She walked us through the different matcha variations and helped us navigate the menu. It was my friend's first time trying matcha, so she went with a classic iced vanilla matcha. I was looking for something refreshing and healthy, and Rebekah encouraged me to try the Fat Burner Lemonade with matcha, berries, cucumber, kale, and pineapple. YUM! It was super refreshing and such a unique way to enjoy matcha. I've had a few matcha drinks here and they all knock it out of the park. Not watered down, not overly sweet. Just perfect- delicious, smooth, leaving me craving the next visit. The owner has so much passion for high quality ingredients and nutrition. Yes the prices are higher than Starbucks but you can't even compare the product. Worth every penny. I really want to like this spot, but why did they charge me $20 for a matcha? Their prices are absurd. I asked the staff and she didn't know how to answer. I choose to come to a small business to get away from big chains, but these prices aren't feasible. Also, my drink tastes incredibly watered down. Not sure how when I am barely receiving it. I appreciate the efforts in the ambiance, but it's not enough to support my business. I'd be willing to return in the future if they lowered their prices or improved their flavor profile. read more

I am a DoorDash Photographer, so I do shoots at a lot of restaurants and I also get a chance to sample many of the dishes. Boochies, a family owned and operated restaurant, was something special! Although I am not a vegetarian and never really even visited a vegetarian restaurant, because of this shoot I was able to sample many of the dishes. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Rebecca, the owner has gone to great extents to research and provide genuine top quality matcha based dishes. Every dish I sampled was amazing! From the hand made dough in the pizzas to the special "ceremonial" matcha (the best version) you can just taste every nuance of flavor. I am now a part time vegetarian if this is what their food tastes like. At Boochies the staff is top notch, friendly, knowledgeable, quick and actually artists in their presentations. Rebecca and Jillian were creating the dishes when I was there and couldn't have been nicer. Both will easily explain anything you'd like to know about their food and matcha. Boochies is easily accesible right off hwy 101 (take the Pleasant Valley/Santa Rosa exit) in Camarillo, CA and in the Mission Oaks Plaza. It was so amazing to find a place that values clean ingredients and uses so many super foods in the menu! We really don't have places like it here in Camarillo. I ordered a salted caramel matcha and created my own pizza which I was so excited to find came gluten free and dairy free! I was really looking forward to trying this spot. I ordered the carrot smoothie which came out to a total of $17 for their SMALL size. Honestly, the flavor was there. It was good, had a nice touch of cinnamon to really complement the carrot taste. However, the consistency was similar to water. For $17 I was expecting something more than carrot juice. I truly think this place could be a great addition to the food scene in Camarillo, but I worry that the quality and price point doesn't line up. If the drink wasn't $17 this review would be much different, but when you're getting close to Erewhon smoothie prices you should expect much higher quality. read more
