This restaurant/cafe is small and charming. Very friendly and welcoming staff. You will be tempted to fill up on the delicious appetizers. The best are mast mousir, mast o khiar, the eggplant dip and the walnut and cheese plate. All of the entrees are exceptional. The standout is the koobideh kabob. Served on fluffy basmati rice with a roasted tomato, this dish will have you coming back again and again. There is no other food like it. Honorable mention goes to the Cornish hen. Not my personal favorite, it is my husband's, but it is very juicy and flavorful also served on fluffy basmati rice with roasted tomato. Be sure to finish your meal with Persian tea and a couple of bamieh. If you don't have time to dine in- get it to go and enjoy at home. Be prepared for difficulties parking. read more

This is my new favorite spot in Glendale. This review is long overdue, but this is an amazing hidden gem in Glendale. The food is seasoned well and reasonably priced. The service is excellent and very friendly. It feels as if you're being invited into someone's home for an authentic meal. The food always comes with generous, complimentary sides. You should try the flavorful tea which comes with little tea pastries. This is just a good, cozy, casual place to eat, relax and just enjoy conversation over tea or coffee. We walked in and were greeted promptly, I was so cold that I guess I was obviously shivering so they walked over and asked me if I wanted the heater on, of course I said yes ;) They then brought over 3 amazing dips, my favorite was a potato, jalapeño, something.... maybe I got all the ingredients wrong. Anyways, my husband got the chicken kabob plate and since he was told it only came with one skewer he ordered two, bad idea he couldn't finish. I couldn't finish my regular plate either. Very well served and amazing fries, beef, chicken, service, and everything Is good! I asked for limes and they were so awesome they brought a whole lime and a half, and people are always so cheap either limes and only give you tiny little wedges but not this place! I have no idea how come I never came across this place in all my Yelp searches in the area over the last 4 years, but I'm sure glad i finally did! The folks are really nice and the food is great! And the prices are really very good. One of the more flavorful koobideh/luleh kabobs in town. Good chicken sheesh as well. The sandwiches (wraps) are simple but delicious. Everything is freshly made, and tastes that way. The service isn't particularly fast, but more than speedy enough given the freshness. I've been here twice in one week now, and have been talking this place up to all my friends and coworkers. The only issue I had was instead of the chicken breast kabob, they gave me the chicken lule and didn't find out until I went home and opened our order.
