I have been back several times since my initial visit and everything is not only unbelievably tasty but is very consistent. Service is great and very friendly staff! Can only testify to the take out experience which was about 30 minutes from ordering to pick up, so not bad! The food was tasty, but portions were on the smaller side and added up quickly in price. Baba ganoush was packed well with some bread for dipping, the cheese rolls would have been better in house. Make sure you differentiate between what is labeled as gyros versus gyro wraps in the online menu. We ordered the beef gyro which was a rice platter as opposed to the sandwich. Chicken Alexander was also really flavorful. While the food was good, the rating more so reflects the smaller, pricier portions. read more

The decor and music make you feel like you walked into someone's kitchen and dining room in the best way. Complementing the homey atmosphere is the sweetest and most attentive waiter. The food was good, with the lamb cubes (sorry, I don't remember the name!) standing out above all lamb options served in the Lamb Mixed Grill. The rice base was superb, with both my partner and I finding it to be the perfectly seasoned counterpart for the meat, vegetables, and tzatziki. The cheese rolls were very savory, and the falafel had a wonderful crisp to them, though I wasn't a big fan of the sauce served alongside it. Considering the price of food, labor and the unpredictable profit margin for a small business, I'm ok with paying more knowing I will get a reliable quality product. Especially from a locally owned business that brings much needed diversity to our nearby food delivery scene! I brought my mom here yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day. From the outside the restaurant looks like nothing peacial, though when we walked in I was surprised. The interior is decorated nicely and there is gentle music playing in the small restaurant. The service was friendly as well. We were brought complimentary Turkish bread and butter. I ordered the chicken gyro wrap, my mom got the falafel wrap, and my brother got the lamb gyro wrap. All of our meals were very fresh and tasty! It did take a while for us to receive the check after finishing our food, but I understand the staff was limited and busy. The falafel appetizer was excellent - four generous pieces with a little pot of tahini. I ordered a beef gyro wrap. Just disappointed that it was quite dry, and the tzatziki sauce was sadly lacking, as well as the vegetables - a little more tomato, a little more lettuce... This place has been on our radar ever since it opened, however this is a genre you have to be in the mood for, and the mood finally struck this evening. We opted to order takeout since the place resides in a small strip mall near our home and we didn't feel like going out after working all day. We decided to start with the falafel, and I will be the first to admit I have nothing to compare it to as I have never tried falafel before. My adventurous eating has only broadened in the last five years. Don't heckle me. It wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be but I'm still rating it high because I have no frame of reference for how they should taste. They were mostly what we expected with what tasted like cumin and various spices. I opted for the traditional lamb gyro with extra tzatziki sauce. On the ordering screen they offer a small order of fries as a side for $3.99 extra so I decided to try them. My husband got the chicken gyro also with fries. I didn't try his since he doused it with hot sauce and I'm more of a tzatziki girl. It's important to note this is a Turkish restaurant, so everything is slightly different than Greek, down to the flavor of the gyro meat, in my opinion. It wasn't your typical thick slices of spiced lamb/beef and was instead thinly sliced, but still very good. The fries were also very well seasoned. My only complaint may be that everything was a tad saltier than I anticipated, but overall a pleasant experience if you're looking for local halal. I should also note it took 18 minutes from ordering to our doorbell ringing, which is kind of insane, in a good way. However, we do live very close to the restaurant. I always appreciate the opportunity to try foods from other cultures rather than the typical American/Italian options, and I love that this is right in our neighborhood. read more

I've eaten here a couple times. This place was never on my radar of local places to eat. But I'm glad that I finally stopped in for a meal. A decent size menu, and the meals are made fresh to order. One of my favorites is the lamb kabab meal. Served with grilled vegetables and some of the more flavorful rice that I've had, the grilled kababs turned out to be a meal that I really enjoyed. With one person taking the order and possibly only one person cooking, the wait time really wasn't long. Have a sweet tooth? There are desserts that can be ordered. And as a bonus, there also is a free dessert for a review using the barcode on the menu. It's a nice alternative in town, and they stay open later than most of the other restaurants. read more

Good day good people! Been a little while but I'm back! This hidden gem was discovered during my trip to Philadelphia! You know how I like to rate, Service, Ambiance and of course FOOD!! Ambiance (5 Stars) it's a nice hole in the wall establishment from the outside but when you walk in it's a nice little get away spot. There's maybe 6 tables inside, nothing big. Very calming and soothing feel. Also very clean inside. Service (5 Stars) we walked in and sat ourselves, no one else was there but we were immediately greeted by the hostess. She got our drink orders and appetizers and gave us a second to look over the menu before taking our order. She was very friendly. Food (5 stars!!!) I don't give that out much, however everything was perfect and well seasoned!! I had the Lamb Grill and my wife had chicken gyro. The lamb was juicy and seasoned, the rice was very good and I even ordered a lamb gyro to go so o can have some food for tomorrow just to be reminded of this place! Told me 9 and 13$ extra and I said no but they said they would provide free of charge which I hesitated and asked if they were sure and the cashier said yes. I came to pick up my food and they said, sorry, we need to charge you almost 30$ more extra and I get upset, told them that's not what you said over the phone. I asked them to remove the extra portions and they made a scene and I asked them to then cancel the order since I was misled. They finally agreed but ruined my order by making it soggy. Went to Bosphorus restaurant and really enjoyed the fresh Turkish food they prepared. The Adana lamb kebab was moist and tasty. I would have wanted it to be spicier. The rice was nice and flakey. We ordered eggplant dip and beef pita which was very good and tasty. My wife had the chicken mixed grill which was also moist and tasty. Good solid place to try Turkish cuisine. Don't let the looks of this place deter you. It's quite small and found in an old strip mall on Delsea Drive with limited parking out front ... but the food is fantastic! Been here numerous times with others for both lunch and dinner ... with everything always turning out great. On our last occasion ... we came here with another couple for dinner on the night before Thanksgiving and were so surprised to find most of the tables in the place already taken, but we were not disappointed. After snagging one of the last (few) tables ... we were promptly given menus and glasses for our BYOB. Although there was only one server (who are typically Rowan students) ... they have always been extremely attentive with very good service. We opted for the large Mixed Cold Appetizer ($21.99) to share and it was perfect with their Turkish bread. Our friends really liked their Chicken Gyro ($14.99) and Lamb/Beef Gyro ($16.99) Platters which came with plenty of rice and veggie/condiment sides. But DH and I were the big piggies in getting both the Chicken ($23.99) and the Lamb ($27.99) Mixed Grills ... that included lots of tasty meat cooked in a variety of ways. This place is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have been to! I've been to at least 10 in many different cities! I have been here 2 times in the past week alone. Each time it was my wife and I. We ordered the chicken mixed grill, hummus, ground beef rolls (very flakey crust, amazing) and Homemade Manti (Turkish Dumplings). I haven't had a gyro in years and was craving one so I placed a Doordash order. Sadly, it was very disappointing. The meat was so bland I had to add a liberal amount of salt to even be able to eat it. Even then it was off putting - just had an odd aftertaste- so I wound up taking a few bites but in the end I gave up and tossed it. I was looking to try a new Mediterranean place and my friend found Bosphorus online. It's authentic Turkish fare and everything we tasted was great. Even Baklava which tends to be too sweet for me, but their walnut Baklava (recommended by our server) was just right. Speaking of our server, Mustafa - I have to say he provided the best customer service I've had in years. He was very attentive, patient, friendly, and helpful in every way. At one point, all the tables in the restaurant were occupied (about 6 different parties) and Mustafa was the only server. He stayed on top of every table. No one had to wait too long for him to pop by and check in on their table. He put in orders quickly and brought them out piping hot as they were ready. The ambiance was nice and quiet. It's good for groups, families, friends and/or dates. It's a small and intimate restaurant. The food was delicious and there are other menu items I would like to try, so I will be back.
