Don't do business with these guys especially if you're only spending a couple thousand bucks. All they want is your money and the salespeople just want that commission. I told our salesman Jared at the Irvine location about our clay soil- told us their Moon juice would cure everything and that our trees would grow. Followed the directions on watering that were given to us. 3 tree still died. Called back because they give you a 90 day warranty if they plant them. Not only were they going to charge me a transfer fee (which was later waived by their arborist Ani) but they were going to charge me a delivery fee to re-deliver. Not my fault no one listened to what I had to say. Then when the arborist came out she wanted to sell us an extended warranty and soil injections. What a money grab business. Never again will I go back or recommend any other one who asks me about Moon Valley. I only clicked 1 star because it makes you choose a rating before proceeding. read more

And more often than not, there's a gigantic dinosaur behind him from the Moon Valley Nursery which is right off the 405. So when his 70th birthday was around the corner, my brother and I did the logical thing. Buy a giant Brontosaurus and shove it into the yard of our Irvine home on a very Irvine street. We had a great walk around then hopped in one of the four wheelers with Lacey, who couldn't have been any kinder, more patient or more encouraging of our ridiculousness. My husband and I went to Moon Valley Nurseries today to look for a specific tree to purchase. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Matt Armstrong, Nursery Professional. He was extremely polite and friendly! He drove us through the nursery property to look at different options of trees to purchase. He was highly knowledgeable and answered all of our questions without hesitation. He discussed with us our options with respect to purchasing, delivery, and installation. What I particularly noticed was that he didn't have that typical "salesman" attitude and didn't try to pressure us into anything. At the end of the day, we ended up purchasing a tree, including the delivery and installation. It was solely because of his professionalism and knowledge that we went this route, as opposed to spending less and installing on our own. Also a note, the quality of all the trees/plants were in immaculate condition and the property was pristine...including the sales office. At the end of the day, this was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had at a nursery, let alone any store or company. Working with the Torrance nursery on Amie, we had Nick and his crew plant eight large timber bamboo plants. They were knowledgable and efficient. The team was excellent as well. They arrived with a huge truck and handled the neighbors with their friendly and helpful attitude. They cleanied up and took everything with them - the only difference before and after was the beautiful bamboo we imagined. Also, Nick left us with instructions for care. We purchased the maintenance agreement as well - we recommend to do that if there is any question about the survival of your plants. We bought several trees from Moon Nurseries and then discovered some significant, unforeseeable challenges with our planter. Nick, one of the managers at Moon, was absolutely fantastic. It took several trips to get everything squared away but Nick was responsive and attentive throughout the process, following and following through on everything, the entire way until we were "fixed and planted." Nick was friendly, patient, courteous and diligent. He really took a lot of the frustration and stress from the situation off our shoulders. I wish I had taken down all the crew members' name, as they were all truly awesome, but Mike who led the crew who were able to finally plant the trees, and Paolo, the crew's driver, were top notch. Loved everything about this spot! My boyfriend and I came to pick up some king palms for our patio. The staff was extremely helpful with our overall experience. At the main office in the very front of the entrance, they have a variety of options for pots of different size trees. Heidi was absolutely amazing! We were greeted with such a warm welcome right at the main office. We were then asked to hop in one of those outdoor golf carts meant for off roading since all of the trees and plants were on acres of land. On this ride, Heidi was giving us a little bit of history and telling us some stories of her favorite plants. It was so peaceful and extremely eye opening to see how many different types of trees and plants there were. We first drove through an area of some delicate flowers and fruit plants then made our way back towards the king palms. This honestly felt like I was in a Jurassic Park ride going through a jungle of some sort, and that says something since this location is in Irvine. LOL. When we got out of the go cart, we had a chance to check out the different types of king palms and learned about how to care for them. We ended up choosing some that we're about 6' tall. They're now close to 7' touching the ceiling of our patio! On our way to checkout, we looked at each other and knew that we needed some type of planter to bring the whole look of our outdoor space together. They have a ton of beautiful options of planters and colors to choose from in all different sizes. I believe we got some that were 14" wide for our tree size. Overall, this was such cool experience. We're extremely satisfied with our plant babies we were able to bring home. We would definitely come back when we are ready to purchase our first home and decorate! Super helpful staff and inventory is diverse and plentiful. My first visit and I came here to replace some dead plants in my yard. I received a guided tour on a golf cart through their facility. I ended up purchasing the wrong plant and had to come back to exchange. I purchased 2 replacement plants but in a much larger size because the smaller size was not available. I brought the 2 plants home and my gardener said that due to the large size he could only plant one! Back to the nursery I go for the 2nd time that day to return one of the plants and they took it back with no hassle. After all of those trips, i was treated well each time. Wow, really bad service & no warranty. We spent $10k on trees & plants. Within 6 months three trees had a disease. We contacted Moon Valley, spoke with Sean, sent pictures and no reply. Followed up, with Sean, showed the pics, and asked them how to treat the disease instead of replacing the trees (thinking it would be easier & we would do what we can). Sean spoke with management, said there's only a 3 month warranty and management will not do anything ! Even Home Depot & Armstrong Nursery has a better warranty.
