I loved the Arcadia Color Spot and everything about the homeyness, staff and local commitment. They were bought out by Moon Nurseries. We chose Moon Valley Nursery because we have dealt with them over the past 25 years while living in Phoenix. I purchased a large tree from them, had them come to remove a dead tree. We encountered some problems initially during the planting phase. I will not go into specifics. We contacted LP in customer service and can say it was handled seamlessly! Within 15 mins he solved the problem from his office, the follow through was amazing. The team he sent to plant went ABOVE and beyond to get things right. They even removed a stake from a tree in my front yard that had been staked too long.. This is why we have dealt with Moon Valley over the years. They care that you are satisfied! Wow, just wow. I don't leave many reviews but was compelled after my experience with Moon Valley. The entire process from my initial call to the actual planting was wonderful and was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had with any company regardless of industry. The communication, professionalism, timeliness, and overall quality (all while costing less than originally anticipated) surpassed all expectations. I came in today needing help as my palm trees died this summer. Skyler was a huge help in bringing me around the nursery to look at the different palm tree options as well as other trees that could work in the small area of our backyard. I had taken photos ahead of time to show him what we were working with in the backyard. Not only did he help us find what we wanted, but he went out of his way to choose the best ones for us. His knowledge of the trees and how to keep them alive were extremely helpful. You can tell they take care of the trees they have on property. Moon valley just left after planting hedges, trees, and shrubs. George and his team were fast and efficient. Silvia came out last week and we planned everything and she staked the spots with flags. Our sales person, Carter, was fantastic as were the processes in place (removers, stumpers and planters). Execution was a different story. The removal workers broke 5 irrigation lines (one big) that my husband had to fix. Even though we placed flags and somewhat supervised planting, our major plant was placed too close to the wall. One of the smaller plants was placed over the irrigation line so my husband had to dig out the plant and replant it. Two of the plants blew askew during big winds and one had to be staked. Tried to get them to come back but their reluctance made us give up. Maybe they are too busy to be thorough. read more

I cannot give this company more than two stars since they sell you a plant or tree, then they turn-around and resell it to someone else before it is delivered - after it has already been paid for. What company does this? Cheating the customer. Then an occasional employee takes out his irritations at your property during installation of your plants - and you don't even know why. Amazing behavior for a company that has nice plants and trees. I will never shop there again, since I never know if I will get what I CHOSE and paid for. Half of the trees and plants that I chose were substituted with another plant or tree when delivered. Of course they deny it, however I took pictures when I purchased them. Amazing, totally amazing, I can't imagine why they would do this. read more

Great finish by George and crew to a job interrupted by buried stumps. First, the stump removal crew was awesome! We found more rgan one and they did a great job excavating tge whole area. We needed to replace some plants and add some interest to our backyard landscaping. An online search of local nurseries led us to Moon Valley Nurseries and we couldn't be happier with our choice to purchase our plants from them and have them do the installation. We made several trips to the nursery in order to come up with a plan to complete our landscaping. Each time we were greeted by knowledgeable salespeople who walked the nursery with us and gave us information on the plants that would work best in our backyard environment. We ended up working with Cameron who guided us through the process of planning, choosing the plants and their placement, and arranged for the installation. Cameron was attentive and made it a point to answer all of our questions. On the day of installation, the crew was timely and the job done efficiently. Everything was cleaned up and the crew chief made sure we were satisfied with the work before they left. A follow-up email gave us watering schedules and plant care. All in all, this was a wonderful experience, and we would not hesitate to hire them for any more of our landscaping needs or recommend their services to our friends. read more

Just had my palo verde from Moon Valley Nurseries Arcadia planted and the crew with Foreman George Alderton did a great job of working with me to put the tree where I wanted it considering the water and electrical lines involved. They were pleasant and helped provide additional water emitters that were needed as well as good instruction on how to water and fertilize. Moon Valley Nurseries also worked with me on my timing for the planting which I appreciate. It was a very good experience. read more

Basically expensive and overpriced. The MVP program is a joke and on the edge of a scam in my opinion. When sold the program after I bought my trees , I was told all the things the "certified arborist" was going to do. Little of that happened. The "technician" watered and fertilized the trees and pruned a few minor branches. I was already doing that myself. I was told on my first appointment that the company would call for the further appointments. Company never did. I had to call them. I was told the "technician" would remove the stakes. Never did. They are still in the ground. I called and asked about when the stakes could be removed, The company said I could take them out now. Why didn't the "technician" remove the stakes? Can't recommend. Won't buy from them again. read more

I purchased a Finger Lime Tree and Blood Orange tree and settled on moon valley nursery for their reputation and ended up speaking to a salesman by the name of Cam at the 7th street location in in June of 2021. I was promised I could get 2 mature trees between 7-9 year old and 5-7 years old and they would be fruit bearing for a $1054 delivered and planted and I handled the business over the phone and never was sent pictures or receipts of what I was going to be getting. I was told I needed to place the order soon since I could risk losing the special and that they would be out of stock It took them 3-4 weeks to get them in and The day they were scheduled to be planted I had to take a friend to the airport. The driver called and I told him I was 10 minutes away. He asked me where I was wanting them planted and I told him the one location that was clearly marked since it was a box and then it would have to be to the left of that tree in another location where rocks were covering the area but there was a water spigot. By the time I got back the truck was gone and two trees were planted, The finger lime was in the correct location but they planted the blood orange between two boxed trees where there no water. I left a message for manager the same week telling them I was not satisfied and they needed to come back and replant the trees, but I should have told him to remove them and I wanted a refund. It took 2 days and they came out and replanted the blood orange in the correct spot. That same day I called them and told them I was not satisfied with my purchase and that I felt misled. After looking at the trees and seeing how small they were and after looking at other nurseries, I could have purchased a Blood Orange tree over 7 feet tall for under $300 and I saw similar size finger lime trees at Costco a for under $50. I found a fruit bearing white fig tree and Treeland for $220. A person that was doing work on my house advised me I could have purchased a full size blood orange tree from a local nursery he worked with for much less. I waited 10 days and never got a response from the salesman or manager and filed a complaint with my bank. They refunded my money and after that I heard once from a manager there but did not have time to talk to her and never heard from her again MY bank contacted me and said the charge would stand and they would reverse the refund. I do not want these trees since the salesman lied to me just to make a sale and knew I was not satisfied and never called me back. I was Never offered any compensation or refund. I watered them and fertilized them and they have been doing well. They can pick them up and I will take a refund. read more

I am not one to write a review but I had requested Moon Valley come out and design/plant a new backyard for my new place. Unfortunately the timing of the rock delivered and the planting didn't line up and flags got moved so the plants weren't place exactly how we had set up. I called Alexis to discuss with her about this... thinking she was going to say too bad BUT what I got instead was let's meet out there and take a look, let's get you back on the schedule to have plants moved. I also wanted a few plants changed to different kinds again thinking they were going to say too bad you agree to the order BUT again no they made the changes. Gorge and his crew, who I thought were going to be annoyed coming back out to move plants and replace them to where I wanted them were fun, friendly and got it done quickly. Not only would I recommend Moon Valley, I would definitely ask for Alexis and Gorge to be your team! read more
