Stopped by for the first time! Wasn't expecting to get anything, but ended up with a pineapple plant, mini succulents, and a pretty copper amethyst! There were a lot of bigger trees compared to another local nursery, which was nice but they're a bit pricey obviously. Staff were very friendly and helped us find an actual tree we were looking for. Unfortunately none in stock but said there will be shipment next month so we'll be back! Love the giant metals Dino's when entering the lot, the kids loved them.

Wow -- HUGE place!! They have a huge assorment of LARGE trees and plants. Loved the giant Dinos out on the hills... plenty of parking.. .there are multiple areas to walk and see the huge selection of trees. we odnt hve room for the large trees in our yard but if we did we would pick a few up here. Staff were super helpful and nice. They shared too that you can get a yard design and they will put it all together for you so that was cool too!!

It is that time of year when I love to hear about the good will of people, volunteers, and businesses! A huge shout out to Moon Valley Nurseries for their generosity during this Christmas season. As of right now they are providing free Christmas trees to first responders, military families and veterans. As long as the supply lasts. What else is there to say but thank you Moon Valley Nurseries! I have had the pleasure of visiting Moon Valley this past week and from my experience the service, value, and selection were excellent. Happy to support such a benevolent business. Their kindness will make so many deserving people happy this Christmas! Cheers!

First impressions don't always last, and mine certainly didn't with this nursery. As a customer who paid in good faith for a December 22 delivery, I was shocked by how I was treated. The so-called general manager spoke to me with blatant disrespect and hung up the phone, offering no apology or accountability. I was told conflicting things: that the trees are at the Gilroy branch and available, yet I was told they're not and has to wait another 4-8 weeks as it a "special order". There was no courtesy or effort to resolve the situation; instead, I was met with excuses and poor service. If you're shopping for trees and plants here, please confirm availability and readiness for delivery before you buy. Avoid being misled by promotional phrases like "free planting" because it's not: I requested a full refund and order cancellation, with written confirmation within 24 hours, and I will be sharing updates on my experience as this situation develops. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes real improvements in customer communications and accountability.

5 stars I had an awesome experience at Moon Valley Nursery in Roseville! Marco delivered superb customer service, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and really went above and beyond. The tree and plant sizes and selection here are incredible, way better then green acres if your looking for size. Huge Strawberry Tree, seen with a silver yard stick and 5' retaining wall

Full of regret. Wishing I had just gone to Green Acres. The short version: I've spend more than $8k on an order I started February 15th. It's June 4th and I am still calling them on a regular basis to get things fixed and get some of the trees they forgot to bring out on planting day, back in April. The long version: The initial sales rep I worked with, Angelina, who no longer works there, was lovely. She explained all of the benefits Moon Valley provides (planting, watering guide, design consultation) and since delivery dates were a couple months away, she recommended I come back closer to the delivery date and hand select my trees. For anyone purchasing with MV, this is very important. ***Hand Select your trees.*** The only three trees I am having trouble with are the ones I did not choose myself. Two fruit trees simply did not arrive with my order and one of them is the saddest avocado tree. The avocado tree essentially what's causing so much trouble. When it arrived, I told the planting crew that it looked way too small to be the one I purchased. I prepaid for a "Huge" avocado tree and a "huge" strawberry tree. Each cost $1350. Since this yard renovation means a lot to me, I also purchased the warranty on these two trees, at a rate of $350 each. So this avocado tree is what I am calling my $1700 mistake. I've included pictures of both trees with this review for perspective. When on site selecting my trees, I got to choose my strawberry tree. She's beautiful and stands tall above the 5ft retaining wall in my yard. Working with Sean, the GM who is filling in for Angelina who left the company, he let me know they didn't have an avocado tree to show me that day, but it would be a show stopper. This sad little 4 foot tree arrived on planting day, I notified the crew it was too small to possibly be mine, and several calls later, I wish I'd never made the purchase. They aren't returning my calls. On my first call, Sean said he knew why I was calling and knew that the tree sent to me was small before it arrived, "That whole batch of avocado trees was smaller than usual" ... but they still sent it for install at the full price. As a consolation, he said that when my two missing fruit trees arrive, he can throw in a free avocado tree. I gladly accepted thinking this was a kind offer. After the phone call, it still didn't sit right, and every time I see this small tree in my yard it nags at me. I don't need MORE trees, I need the RIGHT tree. I've called a couple of times to correct the issue, but I'm not getting calls back. One of the fellas at the front desk even told me that my warranty should cover this, given warranties allow for one replacement. Honestly, this isn't even a warranty issue, it feels like a bait and switch problem. It looks like they just put a baby avocado tree in a larger pot before delivering it. Also troublesome, but not related to this avocado tree debacle... -When Angelina left, no one told me. She just stopped replying to our email thread about the planting design she was planning to help me with. I had to call the store to find out why it went silent. -To get an appointment at the store to pick out my trees, it took several calls. I speculate that because there was no new purchase tied to this appointment, it was not a priority. They only return my calls when I am going to make a purchase. -During my tree selection, Sean said he would be able to pick up where Angelina left off and help me with the planting design. We scheduled an appointment for him to look at my yard. Day of the appointment he cancelled. Said he'd come on planting day -On planting day, he was a no show. I had ZERO design support. -The watering guide is a one-page infographic that is barely helpful All in all, I overpaid for trees and did not get any of the supplementary offerings I was promised. Bottom line: They will promise you the moon, but they really just want to make a sale.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They have a pretty good selection of outdoor plants and trees. I went to look primarily at the indoor plant selection and was met with a smaller selection of plants. All the plants looked healthy. One selling point I liked is that they will help plant the tree you buy. I forget the requirements, but I thought that was a good advantage especially with how much the trees cost. read more

My husband and I went to the Roseville store two nights ago. We walked in, looked around and then spent some time outside looking at trees. After about 30 minutes we left. At no point did any one working there greet us or ask if we needed help. No acknowledgment that we were even there and we were the only customers in the store. We will not be returning here. Bad service. read more

For being a new location they really seem to have a good grip on things over here. From the wide assortment and diversity of plants to choose from down to the staff. I was far more impressed than I anticipated. Went in looking to buy a gift for my mother and was completely blindsided by a great sense of curiosity and joy in which Angelina did an amazing job in guiding me through and helping me find exactly what I was looking for. Didn't know the name of the plant. I did my best to describe it and through Angelina's extensive knowledge she lead me straight to what I now know to be an Elephant Ear Plant and I couldn't have been happier. I don't even have a garden of my own but the way Angelina explained and detailed all the different plants we were passing up, which looked amazing, I may have accidentally picked up a new hobby and to Angelina and the moon valley crew I say, thank you. Had a great experience and a lot more fun than I ever imagined I would. This place is like the Disney Land for gardeners lol. read more

My husband and I went to Moon Valley nurseries last weekend and marveled over all the beautiful healthy trees they have for sale. All of their trees are well established and very large. The trees are healthy and well maintained by the nursery, unlike those you see at Home Depot or Lowe's. They had their peach trees on sale for $49.99. We purchased a very healthy peach tree that is three years old, so since it's established, it will bear fruit next summer. We had a very nice representative assist us in the purchase of our tree. Slater was very friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the business, the services they provide for their customers. They will deliver and plant your trees, maintain them, etc, if you want those services. We would go back again and work with Slater because of the great service he provided for us.. Now that I know this place exists. I've been telling all my friends. read more

I loved just looking up inside this building, you could see the old workings from it past. It seems like half a mile of plants. The inventory is huge and I could have spent a Million dollars here . And the plants were reasonably priced. Better than big box nurseries. Rare plants. My friend and I were in Heaven. There's a Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating that's always booked. Reservations are essential, my friend and I thought we could slip in and have lunch, it was a 45 minute wait, only finding that out after we had stood in line for over 20 minutes plus.. The property is like a beautiful garden with a koi pond and wonderful garden art that I wanted so, so badly. Money . There's also an olive oil and vinegar tasting room and a separate gift shop all in this wonderful warehouse setting. My friend bought 2 oils costing $40.00 . But they were exquisite, beautiful and flavorful and unique tasting. Yum. High hand also has a venue for weddings and I believe a brewery. It's mind blowing ! Serious gardeners must visit there. It's about a two hour drive from Reno. I give it 5 stars absolutely..

We got a couple of plants and some pots and some decorations. It was a lovely and enjoyable. I will definitely be back!

Dog friendly, special events, I have done special orders through them if they didn't have a plant in stock. I love taking foster dogs and our personal dogs to their nurseries where we can see other humans at a distance and their staff are trained to follow directions around new dogs which is a huge help. ‍ Five stars for Green Acres Nursery. Their customer service is impeccable. Their price is pretty reasonable. Parking lot is huge although I can see it being full maybe on the weekend. This definitely my favorite nursery in the area.

It's really nice to just wander around and observe the beautiful plants and specialty trees. They currently have a sale featuring 50% off roses, which are in full bloom at the moment. In addition patio furniture is also 50% off. The mature trees range from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending upon cultivar, rarity, or variegation of foliage. This is a great place for large landscape specimens. You won't find six packs of annuals, they really specialize in trees, shrubs and perennials. The service was friendly, although I didn't buy anything this time, I was warmly greeted, and offered help to find anything. I'll be back once we finish our hardscaping and are ready for feature plants and large trees.

At that point, I had no real option to refuse the delivery since the rocks were already blocking both my driveway and part of the road. I was forced to move forward and use the material in my landscaping. This experience felt very misleading, and I'm disappointed with the lack of consistency and transparency. I would not recommend this store.

If you have a pick-up truck Hastie's will load the truck for you using their skip-loaders. Very knowledgeable employees to help us get the product we need and be on our way in minutes. Salespersons operate on a commission basis, which can be comparable to the practices of used car salesmen. The type of tree we were considering they had only six available, four of which exhibited damage to the trunk that extended beyond the two layers of bark and into the cambium layer. The salesman informed me that this was not a significant issue and suggested diluting white latex paint to apply it. While I intended to correct him, I ultimately decided to let it go. Diluted latex paint is primarily used to prevent sunburn on the trunks of most fruit trees, rather than as a means of healing damaged trunks. Additionally, I encountered other false statements made by the salespersons. I am not an amateur in this field; I am a professional landscaper who possesses a deep understanding of my responsibilities. While some of their plants and trees are aesthetically pleasing, their prices are excessive. I advise caution when shopping and refrain from purchasing their Moon Juice liquid fertilizer. They assert that it will not harm plants, which is true since it is diluted and lacks any special properties. Upon reviewing the label, I found it to be unimpressive. read more
