Decided to stop in for a couple of drinks on our way back to the hotel. Last time we were in town this place was packed and we had our kids so we weren't able to check it out. This location is 21 and older. So if you have kids with you, you'll have to go elsewhere. This place gets crazy busy as I said we lucked out and got a few seats at the bar as the sun had not went down yet when we arrived they had one sour beer so I opted for that unfortunately they don't have any on draft. This is an Irish pub obviously so they served things like Guinness, but also had Scottsdale blonde, etc. if you like that. The place is pretty big inside. They have different activities on certain days like karaoke, for example. It can't get pretty rowdy so if you're looking for a quiet local bar, this is not your spot. We had a good time. Prices were decent. I'd come again.

Things close early for this New Yorker visiting Sedona! Mooney's was one place that stayed open later and had food options. The kicker was, we had to place the order at the food place next door (which had a food truck Vibe). And they bring your food to you if you're hanging in the bar. So that was cool. The beer selections were pretty good. I had some local craft beer that I don't remember the name, but I do remember it was delicious! The burger, eh I've had better. It was serviceable, and I guess that late on a Sunday, beggars couldn't be choosers.

What a fun place!! This was such a lively Irish-style pub with late-night food, drinks, and a fun bar atmosphere. It was a casual bar with live music, DJ, and dancing. I'm not sure if there's dancing every night but I was here on a Friday night. They open until 2 AM on Fridays. I didn't try the food but staff were friendly. There's karaoke some nights too!

It was a very crowded night, but we were still able to squeeze in and enjoy a drink. We caught some music (DJ), used the restroom (which was very clean, by the way), and appreciated that there was plenty of parking available. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere was lively and fun. Next time we're back in Sedona, we'll definitely be coming here again.

It was my second time dining at Mooney's. Both times while showing out of towners the splendor of Sedona. I had the super delicious (a little too hot temp wise), Shepherd's Pie. Very great take on the dish. My guests each tried an Indian Taco upon my recommendation as one party has never heard of it and the other party was from Australia. All devoured it savagely. I tried a bit too. Spot on. Highly recommend. Nice atmosphere, very attentive service. Good vibes. Def worth a stop. Well done Mooney's. Five stars.

How fun it was on Thursday night. It s Karoke Thursdays so dare I post a pic? And believe I sang I don't give a d$&mn about my bad reputation by Joan Jett! Heck to the yeah And def order food from the food truck next door.... sliders, fish n chips, gyros, birria tacos and I got the carne asar tacos- so delicious with the chimchurri sauce

Prickly pear mule

Casual atmosphere with kind staff. Shockingly, the birria here is incredible. The rice and beans that come with it were super flavorful, and the rice wasn't mushy at all. It comes from the Mexican place nextdoor. The fig and Brie burger was also good with a delicious bun, but I wish there was more fig jam. The fries were perfectly crispy. The prickly pear mule was on the sweeter side but very tasty.

Margarita

Very strong margaritas!!! Packed fullllll of tequila. This place is very lively- full of locals and tourists. They have a DJ at night and some dancing. I think this is the only place open very late on the strip!!! The drinks are quite expensive I will say

I had a great time here! My husband and I stopped by on Friday while visiting Sedona looking for fish and chips and they did not disappoint! They call them a fish fry, but same concept, the portion is big enough for two people. The vibe is extremely lively and the staff is incredibly friendly, wish I would've caught the name of our waitress but she was awesome, treated us like regulars and sat with us to take our order. Despite having lots of ground to cover she kept making her rounds making sure we had everything we needed. I would gladly go back next time we're in town!

Yummy Amber beer locally made around there.
Deborah B.

Delicious amber beer made locally, good price, excellent ambience, fun loud live band playing great music at night. I sat outside with my dog, and a nice gentleman let us have a bowl of water for her. No dogs inside. Restrooms are great, located up the hill behind the bar for patrons. The attached sandwich shop is owned by the Irish bar, same menu at both places. I wasn't hungry. Beer was really good. I was scared for a moment when I saw $50 approved by my bank, say what?!? It was just a beer.... Female bartender said it's standard, & that it would drop off. I asked to close my tab please. Parking was ample, view was incredible, simply gorgeous area, so beautiful. I would like to return one day & try some food, but pay with cash.

Diablo burger! Ask for the cherry vinegar!!!

This place is not the easiest to spot from the road, but it is absolutely worth a visit if you are visiting Sedona. We came here after a 2 hour hike, so we were more than ready for a beer and some food. Inside is welcoming with a combination of traditional dark tones associated with Irish pubs. Then mash that up with the quirky Sedona Arizona locale and you find a comical bar stool and several western motifs. When we arrived, it was just before noon, and they we're still wiping tables down, but we were able to get a seat out the front, looking down on AZ179 - its close to the roundabout near Tlaquepaque. Within a few minutes, several customers came in, and by the time we left there was a sizeable crowd. The staff are all incredibly pleasant, happy and eager to help. Specific shout outs to Brenda, Amanda and Kaidynce. Menu is, as you might expect, a blend of Irish (bangers and mash, fish and chips, shepherds pie) and a wonderful set of varied burgers including Diablo Burger, which of course I had to have as it contains Jalapeño AND chipotle peppers. They have decent Irish beer (Harp, Smithwicks and Guinness), but not (when we visited) Kilkenny. Hopefully will return soon. My wife had the birria tacos which were incredible and yes the burger was correctly cooked and a wonderful treat after a long hike in some of the most beautiful countryside you will ever see. But that's not all. If you get fries (or indeed anything that can be dipped), I urge you to first request the malt vinegar, but please ask for the cherry vinegar, its a specialty of the house and something I have never encountered before. It is pungent and zesty and incredible. They should bottle it. It's not going to be what you expected, but isn't that the point? Enjoy. We will be back.

Fried Pineapple & Pickles

Came here to Mooney's on a weekend evening, w/ group of two (family), as we were visiting Uptown Sedona. Ordered 2 local beer (lager), which was so-so -- I taste-tested both, it was ok. I had a glass of water. I then ordered Greek Salad. As a table, we also ordered fried pineapple and pickles. The fried pineapple was meh. Bar food for ya. I wish it wasn't fried. It removed the sweetness from the pineapple. I found out that quite a few cultures have fried pineapple, so it's not even specific to Irish culture (lol). The Greek salad was pretty decent. It came w/ feta cheese crumbles, mixed green, cucumber, red onion, Greek olives, and tomato. Overall that hit the spot and good enough for a light, early dinner. In short, passable experience here at Mooneys, at a time when all the other nearby shops had closed for the night. Nice little hole-in-wall pub in Uptown Sedona.

First, this is a 21+ only establishment. Even though they serve food and share a patio with the neighbors, no minors. (only outside) We dropped in for a few drinks after a looooong hike. We spun the wheel (it was my bday so I had to), played some card games, watch the UT game, pet some dog patrons, and then headed out. The staff was all ladies and they were spunky and attentive. Highly rec to anyone wanting a neighborhood put to check out in Sedona.

Ask the Community - Mooney's Irish Pub & Burger Bar

Can you smoke a cigar anywhere?

You can. I smoked outside on the patio. They have a big space for it.

Happy hour ? What time does it start and end?

Hi, We don't do a Happy Hour but we always have Specials on the go and our prices are already the cheapest in Sedona.

This restaurant pays attention to all of the small details. The bottle of water placed on the table carries the restaurant brand. The side salad is terrific- superb dressing and pickled watermelon radish slivers?!! The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was clearly homemade and perfectly balanced. Plentiful amount of salmon and supported by a biscuit which was tender, but didn't get soggy. The coffee is delicious and even the ubiquitous latte art had its own delicate flair. Location is good especially if your stay is in the south side of Uptown Sedona. There is a Hilton vacation stay connecting to the establishment. Two people ordered the fish and chips, one person got the chicken fettuccine, and I ordered the veggie pasta. Everything was good but fairly more expensive for what it was. The restaurant itself is pretty large with the main room connecting to the bar. In the back, there was another room with a pool table and up a small flight of stairs was another dining area. When we got there, only a few people were seated (maybe 3-4 couples) in the main room and my party was put in the separated dining room. I am giving this restaurant a 2/5 because of negative experience. Our order wasn't taken until 15 minutes after we were seated. We saw our waitress maybe once early into the meal but once we finished our meal, no one came with the bill. I waved down a waiter who was helping another party in the room (which was also the only other party in the room) for the bill but was told that he would tell "our" waitress. He didn't seem to have done that because we ended up waiting some more. I ended up getting up and asking for the bill. I understand if the place was busy, but the restaurant was dead. This was the worst restaurant during my stay in Arizona.
